  1. Some kind of deity, probably. I don't know, I'm kind of interested in learning to play GG as well, but I think I could probably manage to do so without a guide geared specifically towards me as a BB player. If what the others say is true and they're so radically different aside from aesthetics, it may actually be better to start off with no ill conceived notions of what the game is like, right?
  2. Will do, thanks.
  3. Is there a way to mod a TE stick to play on both 360 and PS3? I own a 360 but my locals plays on PS3. =\
  4. Hotaru (j.214B) is invincible frames 1-14.
  5. Ah okay, thanks guys.
  6. Well I mean specifically for the new Super SF4 TE stick, wasn't sure if people had templates for it yet (I'm pretty uninformed).
  7. Are there places doing art for the SSF4 TE? Like templates, or any sites offering to print?
  8. Does anybody have a link to some match videos?
  9. Yup, totally my fault. Will pay more attention in the future.

  10. My process was laughably different than this one... I feel like a scrub now, lol. Basically I did this: 1. Learn characters moveset in-depth 2. Learn really short, easy combos (no BNBs) 3. Learn to hitconfirm those combos really well 4. Learn to pressure, zone, block 5. Learn spacing, how to use the entirety of my character's moveset effectively 6. Learn a few more short combos (still no BNBs =[ ) and how to hit confirm them/go into them from common attacks I still haven't learned BNBs, which is what I'm trying to do now (getting a stick soon, so that may help). For the most part I survive on basics... I did learn a few matchup specifics (mostly just the couple of characters used by my friends), but nothing too in-depth. Now that I have a local to go to I hope to drastically improve my character specific matchups, improve my fundamentals through practice, and learn to apply BNBs once I know them in actual matches.
  11. Personally I've never had a problem with autopiloting; just as in real life I'm very much a reactive competitor (stemming from judo), and thus found Hakumen a very well suited character. Other characters, I tend to struggle a lot with... there are a lot of characters I'd really like to play (for fun) but find myself having a very hard time trying to learn.
  12. Dream crush, they don't ship to Canada... Ah well, it's extremely doubtful I would have been able to buy one before midnight today, anyway. Thanks for the artwork link by the way, Corinthatic.
  13. Damn, too bad I missed that, could have split with a friend. So uhhh... art. How do I get that made, as in printed and shipped or whatever? Sorry for the abundance of questions.
  14. Awesome, thanks. I'm probably going to end up with either the TE or the non-TE.
  15. Is it going to explode on me or something? o_o Where would I order replacement parts and such?
  16. Well, what's the best sub-$100 (preferably less than $80 though, as mentioned before) stick I'd be able to get without modding? I want something reasonably durable and dependable to last me a while before I for something more expensive like the TE. Note: I'm a 360 player
  17. That thing looks like it's $140+...
  18. Anybody know if there exists a tournament bracket maker for Macs?
  19. Alright so with Christmas coming up I'm considering getting my first fighting stick, since I've now got a locals to go to and actually have a reason to learn it (they play PS3, so I'd rather learn stick and just play that than go back and forth between the two different pads). My question is, what would be a good stick to start out with? I've heard the Hori EX2 is good to start with, but I'd like to get something that'll last me a long time and doesn't need replacing until I decide to spring for something really high quality (probably far off, so yeah this thing has to last me a while). I'd prefer to stay under $80, but if there's something of extremely good value I could go higher. Any suggestions?
  20. Unfortunately I'm going to be showing up late, lol.
  21. Alright, looks like I'm "learning" stick. A phrase which here means that I'm going to be thrust into a tournament full of far better players than me and trying to figure out how to control my character while simultaneously not losing within the first ten seconds of each round. Should be a good time. =) Also, checking out that tutorial thanks.
  22. So I'm still debating on whether or not I should skip a couple of days of class to go to PAX East in a few months... Kind of a big deal when you do as much in-class work as I do (fine arts). If I did go I'd have to somehow prepare my Hakumen cosplay to be complete by then, which I was planning on putting off until when school was over. Bleh...
  23. Okay so I've got a question... I've just recently discovered the local BB community where I am, and I'm going to a small tournament on the 4th (this Saturday). However, they play exclusively on the PS3, while I've only ever played on the 360. They offer sticks and pads for people to play on, however I've never used either. So, I could either take this opportunity to learn stick (or at least, become introduced to it... I'm probably going to fail miserably regardless so there's no major loss), or struggle with a controller quite different than I'm used to. What do?
  24. That's the popular theory, yes.
  25. Hey, contacting you about BB in Halifax. Joined the Facebook group, I'll try to make it out to an event sometime.
