  1. So the problem is me. Thanks. I'll work on getting the Xbox away from my brother more to practice this.
  2. I would like to thank you for the help, but I would also like to mention something: Leading the combos I mentioned previously with 5D CH>Legacy Edge (these two combos, specifically) actually deals 700 less damage, as the 5D eats up a hefty amount of proration. It does not provide more heat either, so I'm trying to find an alternative to this one. The 5D puts them at the perfect range for the Legacy Edge, but the damage output hit makes me think twice about using the combo altogether. Not that Lambda has issues with spamming combos. 5DD>Legacy Edge is not working, even on CH. It blue beats, and the proration takes another hit. I have not tested it in CSEX, but it simply does not combo in CS2 (which is what I normally play seeing as my brother hogs the 360). The anti-air one you listed is still tricky for me. Would you have any tips about both the dash's timing and when to input the 6C? As I am right now, either I Blue Beat after the 2DD (when I try to dash) or I can't combo the 6C (Lamda instead finishes her 2DD animation). CH 2C>6C>Legacy Edge works, but it causes the Sickle Storm to Blue Beat (at least in CS2). I may be miss-timing the attack (it's a bitch to time it right with my normal combo as-is). I have been trying some of the other combos, but it isn't going very well. It may be that I'm using CS2 instead of Extend, or I may just not have enough practice.
  3. I would like better combos, although I'm not that good with Lambda yet (despite her supplanting Valk as my main). I'll keep them for reference.
  4. Hey all, been a while. I've come here in need of an opener for a mid-screen combo (two technically, one of which can potentially be a corner combo if I ever experiment with it that much). The last time I asked for help I got some excellent advice for my Unlimited Nu, now I need some regular Lambda help. The combos, for reference: ∂: 236236D, 236D+C, run, 3C, 214A, 6A, j214D, 5DD, 6DD, 2DD, Aerial D combo, finisher (j214D or j632146D). ß: 236236D, 236D+C, 236C, run, 5C(#), 6C, 5DD, 6DD, 2DD, Aerial D combo, finisher (j214D or j632146D). I really need a spacer that can combo into it.
  5. I'm looking for some combo assistance with Nu for Abyss Mode (not Lamdba, I'm golden as her). I haven't been able to find much, as most of the videos are for CT (and it doesn't help that many of those are far above my skill level anyway). I'm still a bit of a noob (I can't beat Unlimited Hakumen in Score Attack, but I can get to him without breaking my 3DS), so I'd prefer more simple combos. Just a note: I primarily play CS2 as my brother monopolizes the 360 (thus denying me CSEX), but combos for either game would be welcome.
  6. A rather mash-friendly character is Lambda, as you can get through most casual gameplay with just her basic Drive combo. Her more advanced combos come with time after you get her Drive combo down. Just don't expect her basic tricks to get you through a pro match. They'll read you like a book. If you are trying to break your mashing habits, I'd have to second the Hazama suggestion (and throw Bang into the mix, as his Challenges can be rather demanding). Hakumen is also rather tricky to play as, but the urge to spam his Drive is overwhelming at times. Finally, a word of advice: Challenge Mode is little more than basic training for the character you are using, and several Challenges are horribly impractical (basically anything involving 100 Heat). While it is good to learn the Challenges try not to rely on most of the ones beyond #6, and don't spam them as much as possible (pro players will punish you the instant they see an opening).
  7. Thank you kindly for the assistance. I will continue practicing the combos.
  8. I figured as much. I would like to know if there's a decent follow-up for the combo, seeing as they will try to roll out of the corner as soon as the combo is finished. Regardless, this will help me in Abyss immensely.
  9. Thanks for the template tips. The problem I'm having is just timing issues. The [w]j236B sometimes doesn't come out fast enough, or my 3DS sometimes doesn't register the attack at all and forces me to drop the combo. The DD version of the combo would be identical to Valk's #8 Challenge in CS2, so any timing issues there are my own fault.
  10. Ok, after much experimentation, I've finally found a combo to call my own with Valk. It's: 6C, 2C, 6B, No Command, 2C, 6C, jA, B, jB, 214B, 9D, (transformed, midair) A, (transformed, midair) A, (transformed, midair) A, (transformed, midair) 236B, (transformed, midair) 236B, (transformed, midair) 214A. I've practiced with it and I know it works, as I've gotten up to the first 236B (but then my fingers are just having some trouble with timing it right; I'll get it with practice eventually). I have a variant that follows up the (transformed, midair) A's with C, D, B, C, 236236D, Rapid, 6C, 2C, 6B, No Command, 2C, 6C, jA, B, jB, C, but I'm not nearly good enough to pull it off yet (the C, D, B is a pain to time properly, which is why I haven't completed Challenge 9 or 10 as Valk yet). I'm having trouble with the timing on 214B. If I'm correct, this combo should work in CS1 (v1.03) just fine (the timing on the second attack is tricky). Anyone able to help me here? Edit: Neglected to mention that this only works when they are against a wall.
  11. I also want to ask, where is the mech in your avatar from? It looks familiar.

  12. Here are the Continuum Shift Sound effects. I posted them on the sprites thread, but I'm not sure if you got them. If these still don't work, then I'm sorry, but I don't know what to tell you.
  13. I'd thank you for the Megaupload. I've been trying again and again since two days ago, and it just won't cooperate.
  14. First things first: Thanks to everyone involved with this project. That's out of the way, I've been having some problems. I've downloaded this set of audio to go with the Sprites in this thread. But 7Zip is having trouble extracting it. And it isn't just 7Zip, it's every extractor I've used so far. All of them either crash or tell me the file is corrupted. I was wondering if someone here has the files all ready extracted, or could direct me to a better download?
