Well an Ultra is like a reversal. So I can't really call it random ultras cause that's disrespectful to players who actually legitly think about how to use their ultras as a reversal. It's high risk high reward. And it works occasionally. I really don't see how you can compare it to X-Factor level 3 which is just stupid, has basically no penalties for activating and allows you to land a full health combo off a jab with just ABCD>j.ABCD>Super or OTG>Super Still, there are ways around X-factor 3, like setting up an unblockable as the character is getting in and using your own x-factor to kill him before it activates. Once again, i'm not denying that X-factor is stupid and would gladly like it removed. I'm just saying scrubs are not suddenly gonna dominate because they have X-factor. Top players have X-factor too and they're gonna abuse it better than scrubs.

Random guess ultra? What do you mean random? Random as in reversal? Tell me when a top player ever got knocked out of a tournament because a scrub randomed ultraed them. And no shit, X factor level 3 is stupid as fuck. I never defended that. I'm just saying it's not piss easy to learn and scrubs aren't gonna beat seasoned players who know what the fuck they're doing.

Just cause they reduced the execution barrier in recent FGs doesn't mean it's not there. Pick up and play like a pro in no time is nothing but a myth. People say SSF4 is scrub friendly, but the reality is that to be good at the game, you have to learn some fucken hard links, have some fucken good footsies and hella good fundamentals.

@Kirbster it's not even that. Thursday I played everyone on stream. You, Level 5, Nolan, Blade, Pedro. WITHDIFFERENT CHARACTERS TOO. Sunday we were only 3 yet I played a lot more than anyone else >.<. It's ok, i'm not gonna be on stream anytime soon again.

Instant block>2A or Instant block>backdash are good meterless defensive options. Backdash won't work in the corner unless you have a gdlk backdash like Litchi or Tager, but midscreen it's a really good get out of pressure option. Also, just cause it's you. :DDDDD

Instant block>2A. Universal meterless defensive option. You should really learn it.

2A>5B has gaps. You can mash DP through it X_X. Also, this matchup seems dead even. Both characters can abuse I.B. so really learn it. IBing is really retarded in this game. You should throw 2Bs in blockstrings since it beats his 2D and bangs like to abuse that shit for free damage. OS parry his J.4C crossup for free damage. You can parry nails but it's kinda risky to go for the follow up since it can be blocked. He has a weird hitbox so make sure you practice a bit on him for those corner lightning arrow combos. Air to air, Makoto wins. J.B is just way too good. Be wary of airgrabs though. You really don't wanna get airgrabbed next to the corner cause it's MASSIVE damage. Ground to ground it's pretty even. Both have gdlk jabs, both can abuse I.B. due to those jabs. I.B. DP works a lot after an IBd 2A/5A and nets you a CH most of the time so you can do the follow up combo. Same goes for him, he can mash after he IBs your 2A. Ground to air, you don't wanna throw out random 6As since he can just throw nails to get free combos. Parry is good, and well spaced 6A is good too. Air to ground, I don't think Bang has any good anti airs. 2D beats J.2C though so be fairly wary about throwing it out a lot. Bang has no answers to orb oki outside of Ashura and wake up GB, so really try to corner him as fast as possible and don't respect him. Ashura leaves him at -frames so you get to continue pressuring him. FRKZ bang is free to orb oki. Since it's a meaty which hits on the first frame and barrier block has some startup frames, he basically can't do anything except burst. All in all, this matchup seems really even. Both characters do stupid damage off a jab especially when they get 50 meter. Bang's neutral is stronger but his defensive options are weaker. Makoto's damage output is also higher and she actually has corner oki. Both have top notch offensive options, though I think Bang has an easier time starting pressure due to his Nails. IMO it boils down to who gets momentum first and who can abuse IB>jab to get back momentum better.

I'm down for thursday. Can you bring your friend's converter? Either way, I'm in MAHVELBAYBEEE mode. Been finding lots and lots of ambiguous crossups/pseudo unblockables with dante/trish/magneto. Viper is fancy but she can't really do much. Pedro next meetup it's MAHVEL TIME.

You're doing it wrong then:(. Pretty sure Rachel's J.B beats Noel's air normals. Then again, air to air is very spacing dependent. Some moves have good vertical range while others have good horizontal range.

ALSO, I'VE REALIZED THAT THERE ARE WAYYY TOO MANY MATCHES OF ME. I HAVE BEEN PLAYING WAYYYYYY TOO MUCH. So next meetup i'm not playing. There is a lot of stuff to go through but I recommend going through all of it to download your opponents' playstyles and find stuff you should watch out for(such as reset setups, etc). That's what I'm gonna do when I finish uploading all the stuff I have. Should be a useful exercise and will get me used to how you guys play.

You might be underestimating him a bit though since you play him. I mean, you beat Tsujikawa and Fumo and a bunch of other top players with him so he can't be that bad can he? I can tell he's weaker than his CS1 incarnation by far but the way you say it, you make me think about CS1 Noel:( which makes it seem like a slight exaggeration of his weakness.
