Probably not. I need some time to pleasure myself...I mean, enjoy myself...dammit, there's no way I can think of saying this that doesn't sound dirty. But yeah, like, when I've typically only got about 2 hours of spare time each weekday, spending saturday in waterloo and sunday hosting back home is an expensive proposition.

Guess it's on again, then. Watchaaa~! *laughs* I'll make some time to finally go into GG training mode so that I can start putting some actual damage behind those 2S, 2D pokes I was landing and making real use of those kick charges. Not saying I'm gonna be Beast of Sweden by next week, but there should be progress. Felt like I learned a lot about just generally moving around and playing footsies, so I can have some understanding of what's going on when I reread the Jam info here and watch some match vids. Edit: Also, because I probably didn't do a good job of representing VSav since my mind was in GG-mode, this is what it looks like when played properly.

Firstly, sorry for taking so long to get back to you about this. Anyway, I tried it a bit in training mode (which is kinda poverty when you're trying to work both controllers at once by yourself, so take this all with a grain of salt *laughs* ), and from what I can tell, there is a window for Anak to reversal DF. However, since Anak's DF is so slow, you have plenty of time to react to it getting activated, avoid getting punished, then look for an opening to take momentum against once the other player deactivates DF. It's something that they can do as a sort of hail mary escape attempt, but definitely does not seem stable.

So, unsanctifier can come after all. Yay, now I actually play something at a gathering I'm hosting We'll be a little crowded if XDest also comes, but I'll make it work. The room's got enough space for the bodies (unless you're all like 500 pounds each or something, and I know Lan isn't *laughs* )...just seating at one of the stations will be a little weird.

Yeah, if someone brings a console, they need to bring the cables as well, otherwise it's just a paperweight *laughs* .

It seems like unsanctifier can't come because I live too far from him, so that means there should be space for you, XDest. Just to put things in a clear post since my previous one might be too long and jumbled for some people, this is how things stand right now: -People can start arriving any time after 1 pm -People will be expected to leave around 8 pm at the latest -I have a PS3 with BB which I can hook up to an Asus VH236H monitor (aka EVO monitor) -If anyone wants to also play some PS2 stuff (I have GGAC, HnK, KOF 2002UM, KOF XI, Garou, and Vampire Savior [the good one from Vampire Chronicles collection]), that will be on a CRT -If someone can bring another console with BB, we can hook that up to an LCD (lag feels the same as the monitor as long as I can use the HDFury) -If nobody wants PS2 stuff AND someone brings another console, we can connect one to the CRT and one to the monitor, which will leave me watching football on the LCD Is everyone who's coming cool with that?

Simplest thing for me would probably be for you to take the subway from union up to downsview...it's a straight shot for like 25 minutes, and I can pick you up from there easily if you give me a call when you get to union. *: Sure, man . Just so you know, though, I'm pretty bad (haven't seriously played GG since back when people were talking about what changes that wanted to see in #R )...not trying to turn you off (I'd absolutely love to spend all day playing GG even if I'm getting destroyed), but it's only fair to give you an idea of what you'd be getting into with me. So, I guess I'll be back home with Lan around noon, but to err on the side of caution (and not forcing people to wait in an oversized driveway), the rest of you can come any time after 1 pm, and we'll run things until about 8 pm. BB on the Asus monitor, GG on the CRT...if someone can bring a PS3 with BB, we can have another setup on the LCD (unless people decide it's too laggy for them, but I honestly don't feel a difference between it and the monitor as long as I'm using my HDFury) and just hope we don't trip the circuit breaker *laughs* . Translation by the Professor at MMCafe: Shen getting better recovery on qcf+C~K and Leona getting worse recovery on (b)~f+K are both weird to me, but overall, most of it makes sense, so...yeah. The Benimaru and Mature buffs in particular sound really nice.

My place for sunday, then? How's 3-ish sound for starting time? Edit: Actually, since one dude is coming from Waterloo, probably makes more sense to schedule around that *laughs* . Lan, when can you get to toronto and where would I be grabbing you from?

If we stream from my place, I can provide random commentary with impromptu names for specials/tactics/players in BB (and slightly more informed commentary for the other games I have *laughs* ). I don't know what burning tamashi is, but if it's some kind of flaming sushi, we can probably get that, too (though sadly, the sushi places near me aren't all you can eat). But again, if people want to do something this weekend, please let me know, like, today *laughs* . I've got some other people also asking about my free time, so...yeah, trying to give priority to hosting for BB since that wouldn't require me to go somewhere else, but I need y'all to work with me on it *laughs* . Yeah, people were saying they wanted casuals, but it seemed pretty wishywashy about setting a stake in the ground or something (or at least that's how I remember it, but my memory's pretty ass and that was like 2 weeks ago, so I'm probably the one who's wrong *laughs* ). Of course, probably didn't help matters that I wasn't able to actually do anything for the past two weeks *laughs* . You know, I didn't make the connection at first, but you're completely right about Dark Souls feeling like SotN. Wouldn't know about the online, though, since I always go it solo/offline. Also, I'm probably like the only person in the world who loved SotN and hated Super Metroid *laughs* . I can drive you places that I'm also going to be, so within the GTA, that means either my place or somewhere with games that I play *laughs* . I think I can host weekly on friday nights (let's say, after 6 pm, assuming I'm not having to pick people up any later than that) or weekends, at least for the next couple of months (not counting saturdays when I'm going to waterloo, which means at least this saturday, since I have to give something to madscientist). Best for me would be fridays, since I have no problems staying up until like 3 or 4 am those nights (plus I could take you back to waterloo on saturday as long as you don't mind sleeping on either a couch or floor mattress), but it's up to when other people are good to go, of course. My internet's probably good enough for streaming, too, if that'd get people more hype, as long as someone can bring whatever extra equipment that requires. If people want to come to my place this weekend, though, please figure out who and when before the end of wednesday so that I know when to expect people (and also for giving out the address *laughs* ). 4 people max (just in case), not counting myself, due to space restrictions. Also, in case it wasn't clear above, saturday's not an option this weekend. Come for the cat chairs, stay for the GG? I want someone to kick my ass offline in that

You were the only one I noticed saying you'd be cool with coming to my place. Everyone else seems to prefer someplace more markhamy or downtowny.

Dark Souls is pretty fun, but I'm not enjoying it as much as I did Demon's Souls. As far as actual on-topic stuff, only one person seemed interested in coming to my place (which would be rather pointless for BB, and it seems actual people don't play other games that I like *laughs* ), and the talk of GG ranbats hasn't developed into anything more yet, so...yeah.

I'd hate platinum if I played BB.

Can you share a link for his guide? As far as the question goes, I'll try to remember to test it out later today. My first instinct is to say that reversal DF can get out of frame traps, but that you should be able to react to it and still put out something meaty to reset the block string since Anak's JP is still 5 frame startup and nobody has that much free invincible on DF activation aside from Zombie. Though, looking at the japanese frame data seems to say that his invincible frames end long before his activation pose, which would make it completely punishable. He's the only character like that, though, so I'm not sure off-hand if it's a typo or just Anak being Anak, so I'd want to test it, but it might explain why I never see Anak players using DF *laughs*

I'm 100% confirmed for not doing anything this weekend aside from spending it with people who wouldn't know a combo from a trombone. So, yeah, that means no playing games for me.

Well, I can't do anything this weekend or next weekend because I'm busy with visiting family. I meant, like, for the future beyond Oct. 10th.
