Startup and recovery for bombs is the same regardless if you 5D or 214D. Stuff like that can be found in the frame data. As for heat, almost always RC, unless frying pan/hammer loop > super will kill. RC makes for much better options mid-screen and lets you toss out random mami circulars without worrying about them being blocked. -

Sexy combos, wish my execution was good enough to pull some of that off consistently. 6A pickup off 22C kicks my ass, those two extra frames over 5C make it so much more difficult. ディバイン… バスター!! -

Maybe on occasion, but Plat's combos tend to be VERY picky when it comes to proration. For example, one of my mid-screen RC combos off of 5A 5A > 5B > 5C > 3C > 22C > RC > Dash > 6C > 22C > Dash > 5A > 6A > 236B > [Dash] > 5C > Air Combo 1 (3333 Damage, -24 Heat) If you try and add anything extra like a 5B > 2B > 5C or start it with a 2A, the 5A > 6A isn't going to pick up later (though 5A > 2B > 5C works as a starter). When it comes to corner combos, what you're generally looking for is a way to get in as many 5C's, 2C's, and 22C's as possible, as they have some of her best damage and lowest proration. To do this you'll want to use as few other moves as possible, so adding in extra B moves definitely won't help. -

I'm not really liking the look of Hazama vs Plat right now, but that might just be because Hazama's too good a character. His normals come out faster than Plat's, any blockstring he throws at you will put you out of effective range so you can't punish/pressure, chains eat through bubbles, and jayoku's just what it is. -

"The following is unofficial, which means you can't get mad at me if it's a little off: The patch + Platinum should release simultaneously with Japan for the 360 (May 10th), but the PS3 version won't show up until later—hopefully the 3rd week of May." Why harshin' us PS3 players? Is this to make up for how Valk completely screwed up on 360, which in turn completely borked their DLC schedule for both consoles and pushed Plat back seven months? Just kidding, we already know that Aksys always tried to release everything a week early on 360, because they love Microsoft or something. -

For an example of mid-screen hammer loop, you can do something simple like: 5C > 6A > 5C > Hammer Loop >5C > 632146C (5119 Damage, -12 Heat) The trick is to delay your dj.C in the loop so that you're a bit closer to your opponent when you j.D. -

Judging by the past, probably a week later than the JP release, so maybe the 17th for both (because NA PS Store is changing to Tuesday updates in May). -

Ahaha, I was thinking about trying it without using the 6C > 22C nonsense, but trying to play this game on PSP for extended periods is mildly nauseating, so I never got to it. -

In all fairness, I'd be pretty upset too if some jerk cracked my Raising Heart. In other news, Excalibolg is just lovely when you have them in the corner. If they try to poke out and you can tag them for a counter hit, that's a free 5k or so. Oh, and using SUWAROーMOON♪ > gold bursts in the combo we had actually makes it slightly more feasible to pull off on someone, as the combo portion before the super will gain 83(!) heat. So if a match can come to the last round with Plat at two bursts and her opponent out... -

Whichever Madoushi is in the chariot tourneys these days is looking really nice. Lots of creative stuff that I would never have thought of, especially that command grab gimmick, that shit's so good. Plus the chariot tourneys are hilarious anyways, those guys know how to have fun. -

Wish I could record footage from my PSP-1000, but have to use RJL 0.20a if I want it to display on the computer, which makes the PSP lag, and then recording the video itself makes my computer lag and screws up my inputs even more =/ -

At this point, I'm just tossing whatever shit I come up with (or I see others come up with) that seems worthwhile here. Heat gains/losses are optimal, all assuming that you don't hit 100 and miss out on any of the gain. Mid-screen Random RC Combos (looking for higher damage and better pushback than the basic ones) 5A starter mid-screen RC into Mami Circular 5A > 5B > 5C > 3C > 22C > RC > Dash > 6A > 6C > 22C > Dash > 5A > 6A > 236B > [Oki Setup] (2817 Damage, -36 Heat) 5A starter mid-screen into Mami Circular into Air Combo 1 (pushes about three quarters of the way across the stage) 5A > 5B > 5C > 3C > 22C > RC > Dash > 6C > 22C > Dash > 5A > 6A > 236B > [Dash] > 5C > Air Combo 1 (3333 Damage, -24 Heat) 5B mid-screen RC into Mami Circular into Air Combo 1 (pushes about three quarters of the way across the stage) 5B > 3C > 22C > RC > Dash > 2C > 214C > 6C > 22C > Dash > 5A > 6A > 236B > [Dash] > 5C > Air Combo 1 (3917 Damage, -16 Heat) Corner Combos Everything in the corner pretty much comes down to using the meatiest combo after your starter and deciding which ender to use. That said, I've re-organised this section so it gets straight to the core parts, with just a bit of fluff combo exhibition on the side. Corner Combo Ender Options ~Knockdown or 22C > 5C > 6A > 236B > [3C/Backdash] > 214X ~Knockdown or 22C > 5C > Air Combo 1 ~Knockdown or 22C > 5C > j.B > j.C > jc > j.B > j.C > j.D (Frying Pan) > j.C > j.236AXXX ~Knockdown > 5C > 632146C > [RC > 214B > 22C > Bubble Hits > 22C] ~Knockdown or 22C > 5C > Hammer Loop > [[632146C] > [RC > 214B > 22C > Bubble Hits > 22C]] ~22C > 5D (Frying Pan) > [3C] > [[632146C] > [RC > 214B > 22C > Bubble Hits > 22C]] Corner Combo Meat (From Least to Most Proration) 1. ~236B > 6A > 6C > j.236C > j.C > 6A Ender (Uses 6A instead of 5C in the ender, will work if nothing else does) 2. ~236B > 6A > 6C > 22C > Ender (Very easy timing, almost always works) 3. ~236B > 5C > 6A > 6C > 22C > Ender (Use the combo below unless there's already a bubble on the screen) 4. ~236B > 5C > 2C > 214C > 6C > 22C > Ender 5. ~236B > 5C > 6A > 6C > 22C > 6A > 22C > Ender (Use the combo below unless there's already a bubble on screen) 6. ~236B > 5C > 2C > 214C > 6C > 22C > 6A > 22C > Ender AA Corner Combo Meat 1. ~Anti-air 236B > 6C > j.236C > j.C > 22C > Ender (This picks up off almost any AA mami, including off throws) 2. ~Anti-air 236B > 6C > j.236C > j.C > 22C > 6A > 22C > Ender Combo Meat Damage Comparison (Tested off of 2C > 236B ending with 5C > 6A > 236B) Combo Meat 6 - 5106 Combo Meat 5 - 4661 Combo Meat 4 - 4614 AA Combo Meat 2 - 4575 (Can out-perform Combo Meat 4 depending on the starter) Combo Meat 3 - 4165 AA Combo Meat 1 - 4057 Combo Meat 2 - 3830 Combo Meat 1 - 3459 Possible Finishers for Common Starters 2A > 5A > 2B > 5B > 5C > 236B > Combo Meat 1 5A > [2B] > 5B > 5C > 236B > Combo Meat 1-2 6A > [5C] > 236B > AA Combo Meat 1 2B > [5B] > 5C > 236B > Combo Meat 1-4 (3 & 4 are a little tight with the 5B) 6B > [Dash] > 5A > 5C > 236B > Combo Meat 1-2 5C > [2C] > 236B > Combo Meat 1-6, AA Combo Meat 1-2 if you 2C 2C > [2C] > 236B > Combo Meat 1-6, AA Combo Meat 1-2 236B > Combo Meat 1-6, AA Combo Meat 1-2 if you hit them in the air 214X > 2C > 236B > AA Combo Meat 1-2 (If you can't confirm the bubble into 2C and hit with other crap instead, Combo Meat 3 is a pretty safe bet) j.A/j.B/j.C/j.2C > 5A > 5C > 236B > Combo Meat 1-4 (3 & 4 are a little tight) j.D (Frying Pan) > 5C > 2C > 236B > AA Combo Meat 1-2 j.D (Frying Pan) > Airdash > j.C > 22C > [Dash] > 5C > [2C] > 236B > AA Combo Meat 1-2 (Character specific, but fancy) Throw > [Dash] > 5C > [2C] > 236B > AA Combo Meat 1 Air Throw > [Dash] > 5C > [2C] > 236B > AA Combo Meat 1 Backthrow (Against Wall) > Dash > 5C > 236B > AA Combo Meat 1 (Backthrow is broken against a lot of characters) Dramatic Sammy Near-Corner Starter [5B] > [3C] > 214C Whiff (Pressure and let it float above/behind them) > 41236D > Bubble Hits > 236B > Any Bubble-less Finisher Excalibolg Counter-Hit Starter 5D CH (Excalibolg) > [Dash > 5C > [2C]] > 236B > Any Finisher Miracle Jeanne Missile Corner Combo 236B > 5C > 2C > 236236D (Missiles) > j.D > 22C > 5C > j.C > jc > j.C > j.D > 22C > 5C > j.C > jc > j.C > j.D > 3C > 632146C (8065 Damage, -50 Heat) -

It's probably more assurance than anything else. You just don't want to end up going under them. Well, Plat can haul you to the corner from pretty far out if she has meter to rapid, and she has some pretty weird stuff she can do to give her better corner oki. -

Change the start a little: 6C FC > rc > gold burstx2 > 662C > [6]2C >[6]2C > 662C > [6]2C > [6]2C > [6]2C > [6]2C > 236B > 5C > 2C > 214C > 6C > 22C > 5C > hammer loop > 632146C > rc > 3C > 22C [10140] That's a dead Ragna! Any more than the eight 2C's in a row and the second hammer loop will bluebeat. On a somewhat more practical note though, 6C FC > rc in the corner will let you do five 2C's into hammer loop > super for 8k without any gold bursts, or without even using an item, you can instead do nine 2C's (yes, nine) into an air finisher for 7k. -

Damn, the biggest troll combo I can come up with doesn't quite break 9k. Anyone got something with a little more punch? Not that 8925 damage is anything to sneeze at, but still, would be fun if there was something that would one-hit a character. What I've got is: 2C CH > 5C > 2C > rc > gold burst > 5C > 2C > rc > gold burst > 5C > 2C > 236B > 5C > 2C > 214C > 6C > 22C > 5C > hammer loop > super [8925] Edit - Revised version: 2C CH > 2C > 2C > rc > gold burst > 2C > 2C > rc > gold burst > 2C > 2C > 236B > 5C > 2C > 214C > 6C > 22C > 5C > hammer loop > super [9213] Plat's 2C doesn't prorate for shit xD -

I was having trouble with this too until I realised my timing was off. You actually want to hit with as close to the end of the 22C animation as possible so you're able to follow it up. The mistake I was making was trying to delay the 22C to make sure it would hit, but doing this makes it impossible to follow up. Instead, what you need to do is start by trying to hit them as late as possible with 214C, so they're closer to the ground. You'll want to be standing maybe half a character width away from them to use 6C, and then you want to do 22C pretty quickly afterwards, not immediately though, around when the staff nears the end of its swing animation for the 6C. If you do it right, the pogo stick should connect as it sort of juts out near the end of its animation, and you'll have time to connect the 5C. -

Holy shit, I don't watch for a day and suddenly I'm five pages behind on the thread! On her colours though, BBCS2 on PSP is the same as CT on PSP, you just, "buy", the extras with the game's, "currency", that you get for doing most everything. It's not as obvious where it is as in the first one, but just scroll to the bottom of the gallery and you'll see all kinds of crap you can spend your P$ or whatever on. You might have to level up though to get certain things. -
