it's not that bad. I only saw people do 2-3 reps in matches anyway, which is pretty much as many as I'd use, then go to ground relaunch. I guess from the viewpoint of an average player it would be pretty hard, especially if you try for 5-7 reps, but after a certain point I don't think you can even combo into shockwave anymore, so it's a moot point. doom's loop doesn't have nearly as much slapping. besides it involves actually hitting them with S again on the ground whereas mags is HUA HUAing all day.

byuusan: yeah sure you can borrow my wireless, I don't really mind if you're looking for a free hotspot though, a lot of starbucks/other generic coffee shops have them these days, you just need to ask the staff for the password. bookstores and libraries and such should as well. gabe: delicious ghetto rom loops for mag. j.7H 33 j.H land j.7H 33 j.H land etc HUA HUA HUA HUA HUA HUA etc etc YOU ARE DEFEATED

counterpoked on random discards, sad times. speaking of noob cannon hands, under some rules tanyao (all inside) cannot be stolen, which makes it less useful since it's a 1 han hand that's almost guaranteed to not be worth any points thanks to lack of terminals. speaking of comeback factor, the dealer passing system is indeed such that if you win as dealer, you keep dealing and the game keeps going. the best part is, once you hit dealer repetition 5, the 1-han minimum becomes a 2-han minimum!

ryu and mashing j.s, and also whatever I can get from dormammu zoning. tony's the anchor because dormammu can't be and ryu feels better on point. I never build more than like 2-3 meter at a time since it all gets drained from beaming, but since everybody dhcs into everybody with no issues, it's good times I've tried it a couple games and yeah dormammu is definitely the weak link. need to drop more points on dormammu tech. ryu is hella easy though which helps, and tony I just need more experience with.

hahahaha everybody spending time in the marvel lab, oh shit. givin' those nigs a face full of lead... pipe yuan, I read light novels and other stuff quite often on my ipad actually. I know the kindle is easier on the eyes as far as that goes, but the ipad screen has never given me any issues. as far as pdf formatting goes, I've found that the program I use for sheet music works great for reading pdfs.

should be getting my phone back today I know the ipad is out of your price range, but the kindle definitely doesn't impress me; lack of colour display is also quite a turn-off. you could probably have waited for and considered the samsung/dell/research in motion/whatever-else-clarence-can-name tablets that are also on the up and coming. clearly you should have asked yuan for his free one instead and offered to pay $20 to ship it or whatever

stefan, as I'm in the middle of leaving my current job I haven't been able to lock down a couple of days off - I still can't confirm whether or not I'll be able to make it, though I should know by the end of this month... sorry! will, like peter, is a no due to timing. I'm pretty sure long is still in rupert - long, did you get your invite? clarence I believe is still undecided?

yeah I thought it was funny how hilariously low almost all of wolverine's stats were. it is true that the average casual has to dig through way too much stuff to get to the meat and potatoes though, so in that aspect it definitely appeals more to the experienced fighting game player, but points to them for trying to strike a balance. I wonder if they'll integrate any sort of tutorial system into the game itself; street fighter's challenges aren't quite the same kind you would need for a beginner. FUNNY HELMET MAN

hahahaha classic tony those guides ray posted are actually quite thorough, and though I didn't go through them in detail they seem to be well-thought out and represent everything someone new to marvel would need to know, and quite a bit more. they seem to be from some sort of guidebook - do they have these writeups for every character in the cast? it's impressive that they'd go to such lengths to make the game so approachable to casual gamers - especially since it already has a broader appeal than, say, street fighter. seriousness aside, I enjoy how ryu's gameplay boils down to "spam hado" and wolverine's "spam crossup"
