  1. I dunno about this particular change, but in many opinions he needed SOMETHING. Sounds potentially very strong, but no one uses instant kills in japan anyway, so its a moot point.

  9. I personally think the 'potential growth' of a guilty gear community is severely dependent on if anyone else gives a shit when its out on pstriple/box. If there's no one else with a big a scene, and if there's not a huge resurgence of people willing to play it, then there's not much of a point. As much as I love guilty gear and as good a game that it is, I have to concede the fact that its an old game. Of course I speak only from personal experience and simple conjecture, but I'm worried that if this doesn't catch major interest, then its just going to sustain the community of a dying community and not grow it. But then again I'm just some fucking guy. I don't know whats required to get guilty gear to EVO, or whatever. Not to mention that this is just a re-release, and not improving on the game in any way. Not saying it needs it. I have no idea what the guilty meta is like. Seemed like every character I was interested in was top tier though. Again, just my conjecture. Not to be grim or anything. That's a hopeful estimate.One day far in the future, the wise ones will look upon us now, and whispered in hushed tones about the guilty gear rerelease. It will cross generations and start wars. You just wait and see.
  10. Oi oi, some people have been kinda looking forward to this game for some time, and though it has released missing some features, it will only continue to improve. As more characters, replay functionality, and online lobbies are added, it will become an all-around better game, and continue to make french bread look like a bunch of horrible parents. ESPECIALLY if it gets a Japanese voice pack/japanese port. Also BALANCE CHANGES, something so rare yet so easy to do. At least as "easy" as it is to balance a fighting game. Blazblue gets its next iteration announced soon after the previous comes out, making people feel like anything they learn here is unstable and subject to being completely wrong. People need to learn from ArcSys and at the very least change what they want to change without having to wait astounding amounts of time for a character and a balance patch. They couldve released the next numbered game by this point for gods sakes. It depends on the system. Its possible that really early ones (the ones with backwards compatibility) might be able to run it, but even then, its selective. If there got to be a community for GG I would gladly be a part of it. On my own thoughts about blazblue, the last time I was legitimately excited for a blazblue update was seeing CT in the arcade for the very first time. For every subsequent release, I cared less and less about it. It just became stale, sorry to say. I still like the game's style and story, and if they ever get around to releasing blazblue 2 or 3 or another named sequel that isnt BBCS2 super turbo hd edition, then I might buy it. Until then, I'll be playing Skullgirls and UNIB and P4U.

  12. Went on a winning spree as solo Cerebella. Still trash at this game, but I'm improving on my spacing, blocking, and yomi. This game is so fucking fun.
  13. Mike has said it's temporary, will be replaced or added upon eventually. Most likely the latter. I personally hope that they don't have everyone going after the skull heart, as it doesn't really make sense for some. Still, I found the story quite enjoyable.

  15. Day1- Still trash at fighting games. -Miss fortune is fun as hell. If only for the puns. -Painwheel is surprisingly fun -Cerebella is fun, and generally a great grappler. Doesnt fail in the places that tager would. -The really subtle stuff about filia interests me, like her j.hk tricks and combos and resets and stuff.
  16. Eh, I'm just arguing semantics anyway. Yes, I remember every one of those game builds, way back before filia's frames were colored. I'm Really hype for this game. I've been waiting for it for years. Also this video makes me laugh.
  17. Indie or not, it's not quite what I'd call community-driven. Sure Mike made it, but "community-driven", at least to me, implies collaborative effort to make and maintain it. Here, its just Mike and Reverge labs. Also page 500.

  21. Again I say, don't take my word for it. I'm just some guy. Talk to people who have played akihiko since release. And @jackie: mitsuru's astral can hit you anywhere on screen really quickly. You have to be blocking.
  22. Actually both his overhead and his low (note: singular) are punishable on block. His mixup is trash because if you miss your mixup you can lose a match. Overall what tools he has are weak. His job is to get in, but once he's in, he only has to fuck up once to get combo'd and have to work his way back there. Meanwhile chie and mitsuru have sick pressure and great combos. But dont take MY word for it. I'm just some fucking guy. Listen to akihiko players.
  23. Definitely boss, but be careful. A lot of akihiko players would tell you not to bother.
