Don't do it against mashy Noels then Against most other chars it's safe(ish), and is the better choice for pressure (2A 2A blocked, nothing happened. 5A 5C blocked, you're left in neutral state) in general. But as I said, damage won't be as high obviously. -

I actually saw that 5A > 5C stagger in a video a couple of times. I tried it once or twice and it failed so I forgot about it. Good to know it's actually not bad. You can also mix in a 5A > throw to fish for reject miss if you think they do 1ABC. kirbster don't worry, everyone that started out on stick had a hard time getting used to it. But once you're comfortable with it, you never want to go back Just need to grind basics hard in p-mode for some time. Also, if you want to stagger with less risk (but also less reward), you can do 2A > 2A with a slight pause inbetween. 2A is neutral on block so it's better than 5A for staggering. -

First video: Beginning: Keep track of your windmeter. Don't use all of it at once for mixups alone. 0:44 You only had one stock and still went for the mixup. It hit, but at this point, you can't convert it into anything useful anymore. At this point it would've been smarter to backup again, or to combo into 5B 3C frog at least to get him to block. Right after that, j.C jc j.2C is WAY to risky and you got punished for it. If you're trying to AA with j.C and they block it, jc and do j.AAABC (something along those lines, depending on spacing). This will let them feel the pressure and drain their barrier, because you will land sooner than them and then you can use airunblockables. 1:11 interesting idea but really not worth it. Keep a look at your heat and wind gauge so you can judge the risk/reward. Possible reward: They get hit and you get 1-1,5k and very poor midscreen oki (no wind for extended combo, no heat for super, no frog possible, no wind for pumpkin oki). Risk: They block, and you're in the corner with no summons and no wind (this is what happened and it's like the worst situation you can be in, besides getting hit :P) 1:58 What was the point of that? You didn't have any wind, the pumpkin is completely useless. You only set yourself up for a counterhit. You were lucky you didn't get punished for that directly. 2:10 I would've bursted at some point here. You had full heat and only 10 secs were left on the clock. It would've been fairly easy to stall for time with 2x TD and regular zoning with the wind you get back here. Also 2 bursts aren't that great against Ragna because he's fairly good at taking primers away. But then again that's just me. 2:35 that lucky bastard :E 3:00 onwards you played well. You got him to block 1 lobelia and sword iris, and managed to get a lot of wind and pumpkin out. Ragna can't really do a lot at this point and you could have done a lot more setups (especially getting frog out). Then you just got impatient and rushed in with pumpkin only, when Ragna was in the air (if you're trying to go in with pumpkin, always try to time it so that they get hit while being grounded, so they have to put up with your high/low BS). Keep cool and wait for the right moment. 3:15 you panicked there, didn't you? Good burst though, that would've been a painful combo. 3.38 don't know why you used wind to get closer here. Overall I think you mainly need to work on wind management and lobelia spacing. I guess tourney nerves got to you, try to keep cool and you'll do good.

2C is amazing vs online tager bullshit like 5C > 5D > B sledge (2C between 5D and sledge for larl 6k damage). I don't know if people are still doing this string though

I've seen 6A beat chain approaches pretty much everytime even without IBing them in CSEX. However I also heard that chain approaches got stronger because they have less hitstop, so he can cancel into attacks earlier. Really not sure about it.

Air B cannon works well but I wouldn't abuse it. And you can't zone Hazama really or get a safe summon out in neutral because of the chains. Sword Iris is good (as in any matchup) but to get poles out you have to use lobelias, and using them in neutral is a pretty bad idea because of his drive attacks. He's basically like Lambda in the sense that he can punish any whiffed special on reaction from (almost) fullscreen - but he's worse because he can cancel his projectiles on whiff. You have to be really careful about which attack you do at which time. Air B cannon is probably the safest one to throw out from my experience. I don't get this, you only use BBL for combos anyway and TD isn't used for combos at all. TD in neutral is a bad idea most of the time against him. He can avoid it entirely by pulling himself up with chains, and if he's got meter he can punish it with portal super. Don't use TD when he's on the ground. It's good for yomi'ing a random aerial chain approach though.

Yep, Team Fortress Classic. It's the predecessor of TF2, although they don't have a lot in common anymore. TFC is more like Quake. -
Don't think that's much of a drawback really, that was only a few points of damage anyway. Sometimes 6B jc was nice because of the range though, I'll miss the random pickups.

Fixed that for you. Do you know about TFC? That game was cool, every character had some kind of magical third arm that could prime grenades while you were still able to shoot people with your regular firearms -
j.2C pumpkin oki costs wind, landing without a summon regenerates it. I guess he chooses in favor of wind because you just can't use it as freely anymore as in CT.

If you plan to do j.2C fatal after BBL, then it's also a good idea to use 2d j.C BBL instead of 2D j.2C BBL to avoid repeat proration.

No, that's pretty much true. TK iris is also very + on block so the startup of 4B gets covered almost completely. Also, note meaty 6C against Tager's wakeup during frog oki. Avoids and punishes reversal 720/360 and punishes backdash at the same time. On block you can set a rod with j.236C and keep the pressure going, on hit you get a rod and finish the combo as usual. Good stuff.

I thought 2C can't clash anymore? And even if it did, you can't cancel a clashed 2C like most other clashed moves, so i don't get how that 2C clash into immediate 2nd 2C should work.

That's really the only thing I miss about her. I remember the first ranbat I entered, I was playing some casuals with someone. Then a few BB players entered the room, saw me playing, and I could hear them saying "Wow, a Rachel player." I was a bit proud. -

Link to that tier list? Ragna and Valkenhayn are top at the moment because they were the least changed from CS2, hence everyone already knew all their tricks. Other chars need to be figured out (again). Characters like Carl and Litchi naturally climb the tier lists as time passes, the way they're designed just doesn't let them be garbage. Ragna usually drops a lot from his original position, he is just too basic in a game full of gimmicks. But I think it won't be that bad this time around. Valkenhayn will probably stay where he is, his movement options and mixups are way too fucking good. Tager A can't be true really, he still suffers from all his old weaknesses. But I believe it's safe to assume he's not rockbottom anymore. He still does ass damage on average but he can at least confirm real combos from jumpins and A starters as long as the opponent is magnetized (and builds tons of meter). 3C special cancel is really an essential buff to him. Also, Relius is S Tier imo. He does everything that Carl does - but he's better at everything (better normals, higher damage, faster puppet, doll meter recharges faster, has more life, etc etc). -
