Overheat is definitely the better player. Playing him is the best thing and fortunately, we're gonna stream some more matches on Sunday. Still hyped as hell <3 He makes me want to actually spend time with this game again. Edit: Regarding Sunday: we're probably gonna stream different players. Streaming AC is hype, but I assume he could learn different matchups by watching me play vs characters he doesn't usually play and whatnot. (I'm looking at you, Tager matchup)

I forgot to mention this, but there's probably will have a meetup on Sunday evening as well. It should begin at around the same time and have as much hype as Thursday (might end later as well). This one will either have a tournament in it or only casuals, still unsure of that. I can't wait. Hype x N

Everyone, get hyped for thursday! I'm not sure when exactly the stream will begin, but be ready at 6 PM (GMT -5:00) to tune in at www.twitch.tv/bibiquadium for some Overheat vs the world action (will have salt cam :D). FTx will be held between him and I, as well as other MTL players, and there will most probably be a tournament afterwards. Depending on the time we'll have left, it's gonna be either Single or Double elimination, with a possibility for a team tournament rather than single. I'll post here when the stream actually begins.

I think it should be a better idea to ask her his opinion on the matter. I know he didn't plan on playing non-stop until 1 AM, but he was down for AC & X vs MTL. OMG the hype is surging through my body <3

Thanks to everyone who came to my place today. I'm very sorry for my lack of energy and hype, though I promise I'll make up for it in the coming weeks. At least it seems the food was enjoyed.

Thanks to Overheat always trying to keep me on top of my game (at least on the theory of stuff), I found this little baby. Corner, Guard crushed opponent: 214D-C - 236C - dashing 5C [1] - 6C - 236D - 214D-C - 214D - 4B [#2] - 2DD - TK - 6DD - 2DD - 6C - 2DD - air ender 6.4k with 70 heat gain It's really pretty easy and doesn't require Gravity, which make it very useful to have in your combo arsenal. I wonder if there's anything better, non-gravity and heatless-wise

I would say 3C is a good option for spacing and countering 236B. I know I've had success on many Tagers with it, at least.

On monday after otakuthon, we should schedule a casual meetup at someone's place. It's gonna be the last day Overheat can fully spend in MTL and with the MTL guys, so I thought we could hang out all together somewhere at some point in some fashion. I'll probably spend the morning/afternoon with him in the city, if anyone wants to join. Manifestez votre intérêt!

Is anyone still up for Saturday at my place? I'd like to plan things out a tiny bit, so I can position stuff in my basement (and probably clean my SNES controllers for Bibi. And maybe buy a barrel of heineken or some shiz.).

For those interested, the combo Overheat listed can be done by using all 8 of 5Cs. You lose roughly .1k of damage but gain 3 more heat out of it (5.9k + 67 heat IIRC, as opposed to 6k + 64 heat)

I feel kind of bad about my showing yesterday, haha. My netplaying skills have gone down due to offline session, so it seems impossible for me to block those darned TKs. Being 0-X vs Toan makes me sad also : (

I'd like to point out first that whenever you do 6C, you're better off letting all hits connect. The proration only applies once, so you can only get more damage by letting more hits connect. Second, you should RC your air throws for big big damage. You missed that a few times in the video. Third, I think you don't vary your mixups enough. You always go for 5C - 4B/3C mixups. What you could do is X - 2C - 3C/TK/TK feint mixups, or TRM setups, like 2A - 2A - 2B - dash grab, or stuff like that. Vs ragna: whenever he does a blockstring that ends with X - dead spike, you can simply jump over it. The start-up is long enough for you to do 9 - falling j.C and either hit him or force him to block. Aside from that, use more Spike Chaser. It's really the best tool to limit his options and zone him the way you want. Whenever he has 50 heat, I would suggest that, midscreen, you end combos with 236B and don't do the charged 214D, just to be sure he doesn't carnage scissors through it (it's impossible for him to get through the "standard" version). Something else I'd note is regarding corner shenanigans. I would advise you (and mostly everyone, to be honest) to go for set-ups, rather than long, complete combos. This way you can control him and keep him in your mixup game (and incidentally, more damage). That should be all from me. I'm sure the others can cover other things that I might've missed.
