I'm not dead. Happy NA release of BBTAG everyone. I actually did this a few weeks ago, but now would be the most appropriate time to share, I figure. Well, I think Aksys shouldn't have passively agreed with others who let their decision slide just to justify not doing an English dub. And if they were really responsive, I think they would've given a final yes or no answer to the petition instead of saying they needed a "push", then falling silent on the matter completely. If ArcSys wants to get recognized overseas, then at least with BlazBlue they should've continued with the dub to make it more accessible to the western audience. Maybe they'll do the right thing if Central Fiction gets a Nintendo Switch port.

Merry Christmas, Dustloop. Don't mind this festive edit I made yesterday for today~ I guess you could call this a Noël-themed Noel? I know you didn't ask me (and it's also been a while), but... Maybe later I'll go back and see if there's any recolors I can do, now that I have some free time.

I still wonder if Aksys really cared about listening to us about the English dub. I feel like they just played us for fools because they would've still made money on a dubless Central Fiction anyways, and they did. They kept mentioning that devs needed a "little extra push", but they must have just been leading us on. The petition has as many signatures as it could get, but that still isn't enough, isn't it?

I would much rather read a proper English translation instead of some awkwardly worded literal translation. (which fans of Fire Emblem Fates really loved doing before the game was officially localized and released...) On the topic of Jin and Tsubaki, I rather dislike how she calls him "Jin-nii-sama" in Japanese because of how out of character it is for her. It's better she doesn't, to be honest. That's one thing I wouldn't have kept in the localization.

Of course those localizations weren't perfect, but at least they didn't have so many clear errors in the translation. The only one I can remember from CT was "Tamagahara". In Ragna and Nu's CP arcade modes, Nu is supposed to be the Sword of Izanami, but the script consistently said "Sword of Izanagi". In the story mode, when Homura was introduced, both "Amanohokosaka" and "Amano Hokozaka" appeared in literally the same sentence. "Rebillion" in the Gallery Mode. And in CSE, the script has Bang mention ice cars, even though it doesn't match with his voiced line. In CF, Raquel is spelt in three different ways, Naoto calls Es a guy in her arcade mode, and some win quotes are incorrect. (i.e. Terumi and Kokonoe's quotes are swapped with each other) The translation quality somehow didn't improve at all since CSE with Strangely Compelling behind it.

We've hit 5K signatures on the petition. But what now? As hopeful as I am for this dub, perhaps stupidly so, does Aksys even feel like listening to anyone anymore? On a side note, I want to say that I'm disappointed to find out that the translation quality for CF is apparently even worse than CP. Although that's just Strangely Compelling's fault again, that tells me this localization is nothing but rushed.

Ooh, Mai recolors are gonna be fun. But recoloring in general is fun to me~ But anyways, I finally got the Naoto and Ragna recolors done. Sorry for the wait @Tsuki Garyuu, hope you like them. Somehow I got things mixed up like an idiot and did Naoto with the Iori palette first... So I had to redo that. And now, extra bonus stuff I made.

I liked this idea, so I made it. I'm curious too. I'll try to do this soon.

Oh, I had a feeling that you already did, but I only realized that after I posted it, lol. Although your template must be better, cause mine still has mistakes no matter how many times I go back and clean things up... Or maybe I'm just really nitpicky. orz

Thank you~ To celebrate the release of CF in Japan, have something I've been working on all week and all day today. As an added bonus, have a look at some of the other stuff I've made.

Before I get around to sharing what I've made, does anyone have a .psd of Celica's CPEX art? :o And maybe some templates of the story mode art too.

So the amount of supporters for the petition has slowed down recently. As of now we're pretty much at 3,900, which is great, but I hope the support keeps going strong so we can reach 5,000. We'd have to have some level of significance at that point, which would be even greater if we had double the supporters, but it'd be a miracle if we could even get to 10,000. I just want this English dub more than anything.

Out of curiosity, exactly how many signatures do we absolutely need?

It's great seeing all the support for the dub in this thread, in the comments of Mr. Seitz's carnaaageFacebook post, and in the responses to the PlayStation blog reporter. It makes me happy, honestly. Most others have simply brushed this off and assured Aksys of their decision, but if only Aksys would pay attention to us instead and reconsider their decision.
