  1. the vids i found started with the 16->8 and so on, from the beginning of the dvd. write me a PM and i'll hook you up with a link to the search for tougeki footage on a chinese site, should have the other games as well.
  2. in case nobody has found out yet, there are certain chinese streaming sites that have the tougeki dvds. unfortunately, this seems like the only way for gaijin to watch this.

  4. Seems like reply is bugged for me. anyway, in the combo you posted, 41236K, delay D is the delayed forcebreak, not a delayed j.D. for relaunch combos after j.D, check out this one: vs. Sol, corner: (combo into..)2D, 1f-delay 236S, d.5P, j.D,236P, FRC, wait, j.D while falling, \/, S,HS, iad.j.P,D,alpha. samitto actually does this in matches. it's really hard.
  5. ebten doesn't ship to other countries, just asked them :/ Thank you very much for your inquiry about our product. Unfortunately, we do not sell the product you have requested to consumers living outside Japan. Thank you for your interest.
  6. ordered mine from play asia a couple of days ago, it's already on its way, but it's probably gonna take another 10 days or so for it to arrive. edit: scratch that i ordered the arcadia issue for february, haha. nevermind.
  7. no venom who knows what he's doing would use that move as abare, you could use that time for ball setups and other stuff. it's almost exclusively used for combos (knockdown) and here and there for some really exotic slashback baits and such.
  8. against venom: do: teleport or teleport frc when you see him getting reckless (=too many ball summons fullscreen etc.) don't: don't use air teleport when he can simply close S (anti air in this situation which beats both the HS and D teleports) or simply air throw you because you're getting predictable do: 5HS when he abuses mad struggle (j.236S/hs) don't: don't try using 6P against mad struggle or j:HS when he is above you do: slashback dubious curve (the move where he slams a ball down on your head with a lot of startup) don't: ...don't attack after the slashback if he tends to frc dubi a lot (unlikely). do: FD-block his 2D, punish if the 2nd hit whiffs (if he doesn't cancel it after the first hit anyway) do: use your best combos for bigger hitboxes, such as [combo into 2D,236S,HS...] and [corner combo into 2HS,41236K, delay D,\/,relaunch..] uppercut? Oô - are you talking about his 6P? if so, yes, you should definitely avoid getting hit by that one - gigantic hitbox, and leads into knockdown + ball setups.

  10. dear zappa players, FYI, mikado is upping gg vids almost every other day, and almost all of them feature mitsurugi zappa. so all you need to do is search for "ggxx" on nicovideo.jp once a day, kick up your feet, have tea and watch the rape unfold.
  11. this might be common knowledge for years, but i only realized it yesterday, since i used to play chipp: if you use a j.D, then double jump and continue the combo without another j.D, the landing recovery of the first j.D will not apply when you land. with slayer, this is especially useful in combos such as this: juggle HS, sj.HS,D,2K,K, [dj.S(2),K,\/] or [dj.HS,K,\/]. if you use this extension, the next link into HS will be a lot easier.

  13. by the way, this is only sort-of-related, but if you ever happen to do a way to high j.HS or j.D by accident, and you think you still have time to react before they can throw you, backdash when you land. i see this a lot in japanese vids against sols IBing both hs hits, for obvious reasons (VV). if there's no more time to backdash, alpha FRC. will hit a lot of people who try to attack or throw. i'd call it a legit setup nowadays, although i don't really use it yet.
  14. yeah, j.HS(2) against baiken is really risky, i usually go for a very late j.2K(1),\/,2K or simply empty jump in, 2K/ throw mixup against her to mix it up from time to time. edit: or jump over, airdash back j.D stuff and so on. everything BUT the obvious jump in ^^ as for j.HS getting instant blocked, yes, your d.S can get a little less safe if that happens, but the gap shouldn't be big enough to allow for a mashed normal if you pull it off right - keep in mind that you can be thrown, though, if you are too close. i've seen a couple of vids where chipps j.HS(2), d.S against pot and run right into a potbuster -_-
  15. you should be able to hit confirm the j:HS if both hits hit, then you can decide whether you want to dash or not. dashing is recommended against everyone if you want to go for longer combos - if you just need knockdown, S,2D should be OK, but the damage is relatively low, and the more combos you need, the more chances you give em to guess right and kill you in 2 combos ^^ not that i don't use this knockdown, i use it quite frequently, actually - you just gotta be aware of the downsides. it's good against, say, johnny (since hes so big), for superjump j.K (whiff), then mixup FDC and FD, j.HS or j.S for a cross or fake cross.
  16. about hitting j.S asap: that's not always the best option, sometimes you do have to in fact delay the j.S(2) slightly when they are too low over the ground. besides, if you delay it slightly, you will have more time to link j.K, link \/, 5HS, since the j.S now happens later during the jump, thus effectively decreasing the time until you land. sounds overly complicated, i know, what im saying is: play around with the timing until you get a feel for it, i usually adjust on the fly.
  17. just double-checked the combo, and it seems like its only possible against other lightweights, since the 2nd j.K will whiff against baiken. try this: [midscreen fdc j.HS(2),\/, d.]S©,2D,236S, d.j.P,K(1),K(2),K(2),S, dj.P,P,K(2),[K(2),]D,[236P]. "[]" brackets are optional. those combos worked for me. all of them ~ 162 damage. this one is from the combo thread, but you gotta be extremely close (probably useless after a jumpin): midscreen, 0%, 15 hits, 164 dam, knockdown (hard) d.s©,6p,s©,2d,236s,236k,p,j.p,j.p,j.k[2],delay j.k[2],j.D,236p http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yijTJoEV_PQ
  18. for some reason my message didnt get posted: there's no magic to it. d.s©,6P(1),2D,236S, dash jump j.P.... you do the dash jump with 669, obviously.
  19. against baiken, try dash jump j.P,P,K[2],K[2],D,alpha combos after 2d,236S. quite hard, but very useful.
  20. Ogawa 小川(ED) VS En エン(SL) ガチ did anybody save this youtube vid? it was a recent ogawa vs en gachi battle, filmed off of a cab. the youtube acc got taken down because of multiple copyright infringements, and it seems like this video only existed there. can somebody reup ist please? i actually saved it as .mp3 instead of .flv or .mp4 -_-
  21. the red butterfly is overhead and can be used for unblockables (in accent core), the blue one isn't. always helps to use 2k, beats a lot of his guard points, but anji has 1 or 2 that even guard against low hits (HS i think?) as i said, it's been a while. i have been playing some slayer vs. anji lately, but i usually focus on generally outpoking anji, as opposed to trying to beat specific guard points, since slayer's normals are so good in that matchup.
  22. it's been years since i played the chipp vs anji matchup, so i can't say anything with certainty. it helps to take a look at anji in practice though , and see how to beat each of his guard point moves. also, getting accustomed to his butterfly okizeme (when to instant block and backdash etc.) should help.

  24. it's nice how some people expect everyone to live in the USA.
  25. if their idea of ballancing valkenhayn is to take away all his combo ability, then i'm simply not interested in the character anymore (not that i was playing him lately or anything). the problem is, if they just nerf his damage, he would need the wolf j.B,B relaunches and the other harder combos even more, which would make the character quite hard to play, which is of course not in the interest of arcsys and doesn't fit BB's style. so i guess i should have seen this coming. anyway, back to GG.
