  1. So we don't get Kokonoe on the NA version till next week. I'm assuming that includes the announcer voice dlc? Also I'm guessing any dlc bought for the JP version doesn't cross over to the NA version? Please slap me if I'm wrong on any of these points.

  3. Those three are the staple characters of the series and are quick to learn so that's not surprising. They are basically made for beginners.
  4. But wouldn't that be sort of useful for the threads dedicated to online play like the match finder thread? So you can better tell who to challenge and who's around your skill level.
  5. I'm actually curious as to why this has never been a thing here on Dustloop. Why hasn't there ever been a section of profile creation that lets forum members enter in their rank/win rate or at least total games played so they can display it if they choose to? I feel it would give people a better idea of others skill level or experience so you can tell you are arguing with someone who at least has some experience with the topic at hand or just sate people's curiosity. It would be perfect with BBCP's experience system since you could just display a colored block. Just wondering why this has never been a thing I've seen here on a fighting game forum. Also for those curious I'm green in CP and rusty as hell, PSR of 626 back in my Extend prime.

  9. If you are using Kurushii's translation it should be fairly self-explanatory. But the option for tech rolling is the option that is 3rd from the bottom on the 4th page in training mode. Also make sure the dummy is actually set to training dummy which is the default setting of the first option of the 3rd page. If it isn't then many of the options(including the one for tech rolling) will be crossed out and can't be changed.

  11. If you are a noob looking to crush other noobs your top picks are going to be hakumen, tager, or kagura. No combo knowledge needed to do well with these three at a low level.
  12. *See signature below I've basically mained tager and arakune since BBCT. Just loved how different and weird arakune was and how brutal/frightening tager could be. When I started to get more proficient at the game I picked up Ragna as a sub around the time of CS. Since I liked his super aggressive rushdown style and the dark effects of his attacks. Basically for choosing a main I would recommend just picking a character you like the look of and see if their style meshes with what you like or think you can do. Watch pros play the character, practice with the character yourself, and look into their lore to see if it motivates you to try harder to learn the character.
  13. Agreed, his pressure can be overwhelming once he has meter and momentum but without it he is vulnerable. Most of his normals are short range and he has basically no highs to speak of on the ground so you'll have to get creative with your 50/50 mix up. He also has no means of escape without meter if you're on the defensive.
  14. For rushdowns I personally enjoy playing ragna or terumi. But if you are looking for someone simple with more tools to offer like projectiles, DP's, and gap-closers. I'd probably recommend Jin. He is a well balanced character that has something for damn near any situation...as mush as I hate him for it. =/
  15. By that logic you would think it changes when you beat people of the same square color or a higher ranked color.
  16. I think Kurushii's notation makes sense. Though it's not much of a stretch to just write it as a percent for more clarity. Like you could write OD30% instead of OD3 so the character would have to have no more than 30% hp remaining to perform the combo.

  18. Anyone know the maximum lifesteal you can get from a single combo? In and outside of OD?
  19. Is her hp really that low? I don't feel that her playstyle really warrants health thats lower than Tao and Carl's. I mean for Tao and Carl it makes sense since their pressure game is so good that you'll probably never hit them most of the match. But 9k for Bullet just doesn't seem right to me.
