  1. So for midscreen oki ive been going for 3C > 5D and its been working out really great. Heres the setups ive been doing afterwards: - instant j.C > j.236D |> 5B > 2C > 5D, 2B > 5C > 236A, 3C > 236B*/236C/5D - 2B hit confirm into 236D, stuff > 3C > 5D - dash jump crossup j.236D |> 5B > stuff > 3C > 5D *If you hit this near the corner you can extend the combo. And of course, off the 2B setup you can gattling into something jump cancelable and go into instant j.C.
  2. Alright, found out some cool tech. After a hit confirm into 3C, you can lay down a 5D. At this point you have a deadly instant overhead that you can combo off of meterless: instant j.C, j.236D, land, 5B, 2C, 6C, JC, j.B(2), j.C, j.6D, fireball oki or 2B, stuff, 3C, 5D into the same setup. They can late tech to the side to get out, but its still a but hard to get away because of the gravity. You can also punish them pretty hard for late teching by doing 2B, 6A into an air combo that can lead to fireball oki or a 236B setup.
  3. I learned that hitting D before the 5B, 6A makes it a bit easier. So the input would be 5DB, 6A. Seems like you end up closer. Also, how the heck do you get people to sit down? Hold up just seems extremely good in this game. I gotta learn meaty timings I guess.

  5. Mazo-Hime is Matsu right? Because Ive been seeing a Makoto player by the name of Matsu, not sure if its the same person or not. I really hope not.
  6. I was kinda hoping she would get a new DD and Bang wouldnt...oh well lol. OD is good enough.
  7. Was it on Hakumen around 4:15ish? The SMP message popped up, I think the Hakumen player just teched late. On a side note, the Azrael matchup might be annoying. His DP absorbs projectiles, which means frog, pumpkin, lotus, 5B and 2B. It seems like he gets a fireball per hit, so our frog gives him 6 fireballs...lol.
  8. You have enough time to get a 3C after a 4B bounce midscreen. Ive seen it a couple times. I think we will just have to save 3C for the end of our combos now. I think we could probably do 6A, 236A, 6A, 4B, 3C into pumpkin/frog + lotus oki.

  10. So I was watching a Rachel player in sparring mode on the game-carnival stream and now I think lotus is going to allow for a lot more combos. Doing grab, 7D floated Tager almost to the top of the screen. The Rachel player didnt have the best execution, but I saw this stuff: stuff, 3C, 9D, 5CC (first hit whiff) stuff, 3C, 9D, 5B, JC, j.B, j.C, JC, j.B, j.C, 2D, lvl2 j.2C grab, 7D, B lobelia(whiff), 3C grab, 7D, 5B, JC, j.B, j.C, JC, j.B, j.C, 2D, lvl2 j.2C There wasnt much after that, the guy kept trying stuff that didnt work afterwards like B lobelia into j.C after a lvl2 j.2C. These were all on Tager too...so hopefully they arent specific to him. It looked like j.B, j.C, JC, j.B, j.C, 2D, lvl2 j.2C was a really easy way to hit the lvl2 j.2C though.
  11. Yeah, a lot of Rachel's changes seem like they were meant to help her zoning more than her rushdown. Lotus does sound interesting, but I wish there was more footage of it so we could theory it better. I want to see if the horizontal wind would be strong enough to make ambiguous crossups. Also, I think it would be cool if she could use Lotus on herself...lol.
  12. What does this mean? The 5B followed by 5600 and 6700 kinda have me excited.
  13. A corner setup: xx 5C, 2C, 214B, 2C, 236AB, mind charge, 5A, ghastly wail. The idea behind this is that it takes 3 frames for someone to jump and after the SB Zio wall splat into 5A, if they tech they have to land then jump allowing you to time ghastly wail to grab within those 3 frames. I havnt tested it that much, so not sure if its actually possible to time ghastly wail to hit in those 3 frames, but its just an idea I had. This kills every character except Kanji because you get that nice 6.3K ghastly wail. Edit: I set the AI to jump and tried it out. I was able to time ghastly wail after the 5A to grab within the 3 frame pretty easily. If you set the AI to jump they will jump as soon as they get the chance to right? I dont really have someone to help me test things lol. Edit2: Nvm, I forgot they get paralyzed lol. I have no idea what the frames are for hopping so I dont even know if this is a legit setup anymore.
  14. Fuzzy guard set up: 5D, late j.A, j.5DD, land, instant j.A, j.A, j.A, j.B, 5A, 5B, 2C Timing is super strict, and you get like, 800 damage. Yeah this is bad setup. lol.
  15. 2B against his 214A is nice to know. Will it work on the B version? Those two moves give me the most problem because they pretty much allow him to ignore traps. Also, the B version is plus on block while the A version is barely negative.
  16. Im having a pretty tough time with this matchup, probably the hardest one for me so far next to Yu. Right now, it seems like theres nothing Naoto can do againt j.B. If shes in range, I feel like the best option is to just block. Takes out every trap that is covering Naoto and she can combo from it even if she hits you from the top of her jump. Naoto's anti air is pretty much her worst move imo, so there goes that. The only thing I can think of to beat it is better trap placement.
