  1. How do his command dashes work? I can only seem to do his 8wr air dashes some of the time. Is there a certain frame where he is only able to airdash? Edit: Never mind I found it.
  2. A midscreen combo. (10+ runs, 50 heat,) 5A > 5AA > 5C > 236B > OMC > 5B(Clean Hit) > J.B(Clean Hit) > 5B(Clean Hit) > 5C > J.B(Clean Hit) > J.B(Clean Hit) > 236B(Clean Hit) Only tested on Yu. +22 heat, 3040 damage. There are other options during the combo but I felt like this is probably the easiest route for netplay. You can also replace the second 5C with another 5B and loop that three times for 3055 damage and places them closer to the corner: 5A > 5AA > 5C > 236B > OMC > 5B(Clean Hit) > J.B(Clean Hit) > 5B(Clean Hit) > J.B(Clean Hit) > 5B(Clean Hit) > J.B(Clean Hit) > Delayed 236A
  3. Maybe it's just me but it feels like Aki doesn't belong in this game. I feel like corkscrew is counter intuitive to his design as a rushdown character since it puts the opponent on the other side of the screen effectively putting both characters back to neutral. And the range of his moves is so small that the rest of the cast can just pressure him at maximum distance until he tries to furious action or do anything to punish them. I feel like characters like Chie fulfill the rushdown role better than he does because her combos usually end with the opponent being right in front of her allowing her to reset pressure for free. Teach me to be a better Aki please. What can I do to stop these things from happening? Is Corkscrew even that good? And what should I be using to punish lazy blockstrings?

  6. Noob combo: filler > 5b >2b >6c > j.22a > j.c > 6c > j.d > C nail > 5d > 66 > 623b > 6b > air combo ender. It's whatever, idk. You all probably knew this. This game is dead anyway.
  7. Messing around with 6C. I just discovered you can actually recover several frames early by timing D nails just right so that your feet touch the ground before you throw the nails. You can also follow up with 6D using this method on hit. Dunno if anyone else found this but it's new to me so I'm posting it anyway.
  8. Is this a viable combo route off grab? I've only tried it midscreen and it's probably not worth the nail usage but I thought the bounce after 6B might lead to some interesting setups. I haven't checked either but I'm guessing there is an optimal combo for this route already so my apologies in advance. B+C>236D>666B>5B>2B>jB>jC>JC>jB>jC>623B.(3162) Also gives +22 meter. EDIT: Apparently it doesn't work in the corner because the bottom nail forces the dummy to the ground and has terrible stun potential on it. Although you can swap out 6B for 5C close to the corner and follow up with the usual 6D to 623B (minus the counter usually needed)

  10. The mainstream FGC will pretend like they cared more than everyone else when the game comes out. Until then it's completely irrelevant to them except for news on SRK.
  11. Why does j.2c only hit grounded opponents after j.b when bang dashes? Is it a timing thing in order to pull off a non dashing version or is it not possible?
