I actually did the 15th combo after my last post and I noticed that the enemy apparently needs to be fairly high up during the double hell's fang> follow-up part for Devoured by Darkness can hit and in both cases it seems that the hell's fang/Devoured by darkness needs to be executed right around the time ragna puts his arm back to its rest position, and I mean right before it goes back. Can someone confirm/deny this? I have had a really hard time trying to understand the timing for this. I assume the first hell's fang needs to be done on an airborne opponent near a corner from about Ragna's head hight, am I correct?
  2. Hey I have nearly completed Ragna's new challenge mode, but the timing for both the second hell's fang and mostly the devoured by darkness are really hard. I have been trying to time both for right as Ragna puts his hand away but the D by D either activates too late or not at all. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Thank you, and I do try the C-version because is prorates less. I am getting the hang of it but I want to see if I am missing anything obvious for consistency. I have found that doing the uppercut after an ID tends to make the enemy wall bounce closer to the floor giving them less untech time. Is there any character this does not work on? Also can anyone tell me how this technique might be done in Extended yet?
  4. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to time Ragna's Cross-under 3C after a corner inferno divider->uppercut->straight punch? I figured that I either need to delay the initial inferno divider so that the enemy has less air-time and I have seen people wait to do the dash immedietly after the opponent wall-bounces but I can't tell if I am doing it too late, too soon or if the proration is too high, I there any reference frame you guys use or some trick because I really like this combo ender but I can rarely do it well.
  5. I know this sounds really noobish but I have a very hard time doing the 22C dash 5A, I can sometimes get it but I am shooting in the dark. Any advice/help please?
  6. Does anyone know what changes (if any) there will be to Rachel's combos in Extended? I don't have access to that game yet but I was just curious if any info has presented itself since it should be coming out early next year with the PS Vita.

  11. Hey, just for clarification, the combos ending with 623D>J.C.>j.6D~D>2C. How do you know when to do the jump? Hazama either just does 2D or it doesn't Red combo. Is it possible off 6D>4D>623D? or do you need to add a j.6D before Hungry Coils? If it doesn't matter then I just don't get the timing but I want to know if certain combos CAN do it before I stress on timing. I know some people here helped me earlier but I just need to know what combo pathways can do it since for some reason I can do most of it from a normal 236236B but I have a harder time from a fatal counter which sounds wacky.

  13. I get what you're saying, I just liked that I could go into George with less wind that the j.2C lv 3 combo. I guess it is nice if you have less wind but you are right, if you have the wind for it the other way may be better if it does more damgae since George prorates a lot, it makes more sense if he comes out near the end of a combo instead of the middle. Thank you for the input.
  14. It seems to do good damage if you can get used to it. I thought Rachel's challenge #9 was ridiculous but I am getting to where I can do it online. I just like to see how strong Rachel can be with variety but I can definitley understand avoiding crazy precise combos when you would rarely do them online anyway.
  15. *facepalm* I totally forgot I could do that, thank you. I have actually neglected to learn the timing for that trick and that improves the damage output considerably, I believe it adds almost 1k to the damage. It is nice to have some midscreen combos that do good damage.
  16. I got it now, the trick was to hold it longer than I thought was necessary, you can do all for without a CH too, this is awsome! Now if I could only do it online... Anyway, thank you very much for your help.
  17. There is a little midscreen combo I like but there seems to be a bit of a trick for using it on people other than Jin and Kakumen (funny huh). The combo is 5B->5CD->3C(the number of hits varies per character)->632146B->214A, and on the last hit George hits. For Jin the combo works as is, I also like to pull a 214B while George does the rest on his own which is fun to watch (I even put it in my Rachel combo video), Kaku requires the 2nd hit of 3C while someone like Hazama requires I add a 7D while 3C is hitting then a dash 5B after I summon George and, as with other characters I need to cancel that dashed 5B into into a 236A to "hold" them for George, this is the same technique I used on the 6A->5B->JC->j.C->immediate 2D->9->*pause*2C level 2->214A -> then the 5B->236 A leading to George hitting. I am not sure how useful this is but against most characters it is a decent midscreen DD combo that does okay damage and does not require a CH or a crazy starter, I even got this to work on Carl. I am sorry if this combo was already discussed at some point but I found this out while messing with combos and thought it could help the forum.   18. Okay, I get it now, I have seen it a lot but couldn't find an explanation for what exactly happened, I saw a slight umbrella float but was unsure about how long to hold, I will keep practicing since it does more damage than the longer combo from challenge mode. thank you both
  19. Hey I have (hopefully) a quick question about the "umbrella" combo, the 6A->5B->J.C->j.C->J.C->j.C->236A. Is there some trick to linking the j.Cs? I keep trying and I can only do about 3, the damage is better than the challenge mode version but I haven't analyzed it for meter gain, I think you have to hold C after the first J.C input but I am not sure and would really like some input please.

That is reassuring I think I got the hang of Rachel pretty well but I would have had a really hard time learning the J.2C into George combo if it wasn't for everyone at Dustloop, I tried for a month and nearly gave up on my own. I am glad that people stopped she-dogging online about me using Rachel, she is still awsome but not OP.

  22. Alright, I have been trying the airborne one but wasn't sure how to change the timing but it seems to be more practical to learn that one than the grounded one. Thank you for that reference frame of the position in the air being where they tech.

Thank you both so much, and no I am not forgetting Rach, I just get frustrated people give me a hard time over it, but a few people have complemented me on how well I can use each of my characters. Rachel is still my best by far and the things I learn on this site help me tremendously, I even made a couple vids I thought might help using all of my cahracters. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8ilxOlYO-4 I just really love this game and I have more fun with a variety of characters but Rachel is my main through and through.
  24. I have a question about that lovely combo following her JC->2D->9->j.2C-> George->5B->236A. I can finally do it in training sometimes but I can NEVER do it online. I starting thinking of why that is and aside from the pressure and the obvious, ominous lag threat I noticed that the targets height is crucial so does anyone know how useful the CH 6A starter is for an oppponent that actually jumps at you? Normally Bang or Valkenhyne beat my anti-air but the CH on a ground opponent happens so rarely to me it seems silly to try it like in Challenge mode 9. I am having trouble testing it but can a CH 6A on a jumping opponent still combo into George or do we need to rely on the 236 B like in challenge mode? If not is there any advice on using her 6A more defensively? The timing is really awkward and usually when I try I get severly punished for it and it makes me scared to try it online. My main problem is that I cannot do my favorite Rachel combo against anyone even though it is challenge mode and it makes me feel like a total scrub when people pull her no.9 on me when I can't seem to get it.

Seriously, I was so pissed when I turned on my system after the update and 5CC shot Bang to the corner, my immediate thought was "great, now I have to relearn Rachel AGAIN since CT upped her combos and mobility while hella nerfing her damage now they up damage while removing her mid-screen shenanigans." I hardly notice it now but I shudder to think what Aksys will do for the Relius update or for BB3. What do you think Polka?
