  1. So I actually downloaded this thing, after a brief white screen with some sound I'm greeted by an "insert coin" screen. Problem is no button on my stick nor key on my keyboard except for esc to quit actually does anything, so i guess that's it.
  2. Now I'm excited. I liked the look of Yukiko's gameplay but I don't like the character, hopefully Naoto will be an interesting zoning focused character as well. Teddie is also just awesome.
  3. About the linking thing, I'm pretty sure I remember LMHH, MH>special working, I think it's only LMH>special that needs to be linked. Throw range is abysmal, you need to be like right on top of them. Except for command throws, Zangief has his SF4 range.
  4. This game is looking better and better. Viola looks like an interesting character, Nightmare looks like Nightmare and Ezio is probably the coolest gust fighting game character of any series yet, so fitting. The only thing I can see bringing this game down now, after I've played it and seen the improvements since, is the absence of Cervantes, but I doubt that will happen.
  5. Oh god not Kilik. I just want Cervantes already, he's the one I mainly care about. Hope he isn't terrible...
  6. Is Phoenix Wright's animation supposed to be that terrible? It his style or just unfinished/lazy animation? Just kind of jarring to look at without knowing anything about the character
  7. I don't think that's correct, in the BAM build you could do the launcher either with LMHH or with HP+HK whenever you want it.
  8. Well I basically just started trying to get into Vampire Saviour, I'm pretty terrible at fighting games really but I try. Messed around with a few characters (a bit difficult without a training mode haha) and I'm quite liking Hsien Ko/Lei Lei at the moment, definitely finding it a little hard to get around the screen smoothly though and the chains are actually quite hard for me to pull off right now, doesn't feel at all like Blazblue/Guilty Gear. Hsien's anvil, spike ball super thingy is also proving difficult to execute cleanly. This game is so chaotic, I'm loving it at the moment.
  9. Tira did seem pretty garbage really. I could agree that some characters foot speed needs to be changed. Maxi probably needs to be sped up and Astaroth slowed down. Some characters like Natsu who seem fine as is though may become too good if sped up.
  10. Kind of agree about the design. If you haven't played yet I can pretty much assure you'll love her gameplay though, she feels pretty great to play.
  11. Patroklos plays like a character halfway between soulcalibur and street fighter. He has a shoryuken and a movement move. I got to play quite a lot at BAM, definitely hype for this game. Seems a lot better than 4, though it is kinda slow, it doesn't seem it will become as turtle-y. Unblockables are brutal at the moment as well, though that will probably go away with experience. Natsu seems to have a little more range than taki did. Overall a little more fluid, a lot of the same moves obviously. Most characters play pretty much like they used to really, though I was never all that familiar with Soulcalibur so I probably missed many things. Z.W.E.I is extremely hard to play though, he is kind of slow and short ranged, you need to be good at traps to use him effectively.
