  3. so i think scaley might x food fight should have a team condiment system. because as we all know, certain condiments go well with both food AND fish. case in point, hot sauce is awesome when paired with either clams OR tacos.
  4. i guess to be fair, the movie was at least somewhat related to tekken. unlike the actual live action tekken movie. or better yet, have you given the live action king of fighters movie a gander yet? it is awesome. sure it features some old kof staples (summoning orochi, rugal is bad), but also contains some new elements (terry bogard is a cia agent? mai shiranui is dating iori? what?). i'll throw in the first line from the plot summary from wikipedia, just to get you excited: "The King of Fighters is a tournament held in an alternate dimension. When contestants are issued challenges, they enter the tournament via a special bluetooth headset." FUCK YES BLUETOOTH

  6. i think you must have watched a different movie. the movie i watched was some kind of fairy tale about a girl and her pink-haired robot along with giant mokujin monsters, devilmans, and high school drama. i kept waiting for electric wind god fists but the only thing that kept cropping up was friendship is magic. is it at least trashy but in a good way, like melty blood?
  7. after watching the tekken: advent children movie, i'm convinced that namco should hand over their intellectual property to square and make it a 3d fighting game like dissidia only with an arbitrary leveling-up system where you must grind to unlock basic moves. also with infinites.

  14. dude, all i'm thinking now is scaley might x food fight: crossover of the millennium wheels of fat. it'll be a fighting game where pieces of sushi debate japanese etiquette while fighting, but the secret character (wasabi) will be secretly broken.
  15. i dunno if i like where this is going pearl jam a living giant clam, used to be a humble clam until the angelscale granted him the scale power "squirtle". now wants to become 'the perfect clam being' and thus joined scaley might in the hopes of stripping others of their angelscales. the "squirtle" style means that pearl jam mostly turtles while squirting stuff around the screen to play keepaway. he is mostly immobile, focusing mostly on defense (has the toughest defense in the game with his clam shells) and grappling his enemies by clamping his shells down. signature moves marine vortex pearl jam sucks in a massive amount of water. draws the opponent closer. after the water has been drawn in, holds a "charge" of all the water until he releases it as... marine vortex - jetstream when performing jetstream, pearl jam releases the held water as a high-speed stream that counts as a projectile. while performing this move, pearl jam boosts himself in the opposite direction with incredible speed. can be used for both mobility and keepaway. all the flavors of the rainbow pearl jam shoots a pearl through his shell. projectile. yadda yadda
  16. okay i have actually been too busy to write out a design document but here's what i have so far: SCALEY MIGHT a fish-based 2d fighting game that incorporates underwater free-range movement and marine animal combox, like the my-otome ps2 game, only not so depressingly terrible. story years ago, poseidon accidentally dropped the seven angelscales into the oceans. as a result, many marine animals came across these scale balls and had their hidden scale powers awakened. now the ocean has become a battleground for dominance. mankind tried to keep peace, but couldn't keep up due to the fact that they didn't have any scale powers. worrying that the world will fall into chaos, poseidon organized the first scaley might tournament, hoping that when the dust settles, he will have the seven angelscale holders so he can then take them back. however, many factions appeared that not even he could fathom: the scale reapers from the ancient scale society, the scalespiral ninja clans, the scale god fist practioners from the northern and southern pacific oceans were all rumored to attend. even poseidon and his own scaley might couldn't save him from what came next... buttons p t k j x bitches love them 5-button fighters yo. also, these letters are far better letters than abcd, so that's why they're used. subsystems flying/swimming attacking blocking taunting big screen 3 meters (gotta have more meters): offensive meter, defensive meter, scaley meter offensive meter a meter that builds whenever you perform offensive maneuvers such as running, taunting, and attacking. this meter is used for the following subsystems only: scale cancel a technique where you can cancel a move at any time and returns you to your neutral state. you may activate this cancel during any move's startup, active, or recovery frames, regardless of whether or not it connects with the opponent. press k+j+x during any move. uses half of your offensive meter. isotropic scaling (aka scale factor) system a unique feature of scaley might is that while doing combos, you can spend meter to apply a damage multiplier - because as all combos go, the more bar you spend the better. this is known as the isotropic scaling system. press k+x while performing any non-super move to activate. uses half of your offensive meter. when you do, your character flashes purple for a brief second. you will lose 1/2 of your offense meter and the rest of your combo will now do x2 damage. the activation will have no additional hitstop, and will only last as long as the move is active. however, if the active move has successfully connected with the opponent, then the multiplier lasts as long as the rest of the combo - if the combo is stopped or isn't considered legal, the multiplier disappears immediately. pressing k+x twice in a combo, even if you have full offensive meter, does not stack the multiplier effect. or maybe it does. i dunno. scale explosion super attack. most requires half meter (some requires alllllll). defensive meter a meter that builds whenever you perform defensive maneuvers such as backdashing, blocking, and taking damage. this meter is used for the following subsystems only: scale armour scale counter scale crash etc etc someone else add to this

  20. i have just started writing an e-book about eczema, and i'm supposed to keep the tone conversational and humorous while discussing one of the most widespread, random, and maddening skin conditions for which there is no cure. i'm also supposed to spend at least 1/3 of the book discussing how hypnosis is an awesome alternative cure. for the love of pepsi clear someone get me a better job. why aren't you fuckers ambitious like mike z and start your own terrible fighting game and that way i can be a game writer and rake in all the mad loot and fat, smelly fangirls. i mean come on, we're in austin, dubbed the second silicon valley. surely someone out there is willing to dole out some cash on some inexperienced developers to make a hopeless mess of a game. we just have to sell it to zynga/bioware/ion storm before they catch on.

Well, I have only one thing to say about that: WHO CARES?!! I never use that move anyways because it's weak and it sucks. I win as Dizzy because I've mastered all of her moves, all of her combos, and I have beaten the best. I don't need to cheat by standing in the back throwing fish over and over again. That's just sad. Anyways, cheaters never win. Champions do. That's that, 'nuff said.
