I hate netplay, but it says you're from Michigan? Gonna be at Youmacon?
-
That works in the corner, yes.

Spent some time in training mode today. I think a couple of these might already be in videos, but whatever. Starters: S1 = 5B/5C CH or (CO) (5B>)5C. DMG/HG listed is for (CO) 5B>5C. S2 = w[(j.B/j.C>5B>)5C>6D>j.A] or (AH) w[5B>(IAD>)j.B>3D>j.A]. DMG/HG listed is for w[5B>5C>6D>j.A]. I tested w[5C CH>6D>5D], 3C CH, and Himmel RC. For the most part, doing it off 5C CH and Himmel are the same: Sometimes you need to delay 6B, sometimes it just works. Just works for: Mu Relius Hazama Hakumen Bullet Tager Terumi Tsubaki Platinum Nu Works with a delayed 6B for: Tao Kagura Ragna Litchi Azrael Noel Izayoi Amane Valkenhayn Bang Does not work for: Arakune Rachel Exceptions: Makoto - Just works off w5C CH, does not work off Himmel RC. Jin - Only works off w5C CH with delay. Carl - Only works off Himmel RC. (Somehow it creates the perfect spacing that I couldn't replicate. XD) It works on every character (including Arakune & Rachel) from 3C CH, but it's dependent on spacing.

Are you maybe talking about the new transform? If you just do a normal transform with 4D, he will immediately backdash as he transforms. It's not invulnurable, though. (and in CH state)
-
Oh! You said 6C. haha... I don't remember how much I was doing off that, then. Probably somewhere around 4k max.
-
To somewhat go against what I said earlier... I think if you are trying to do the wolf overhead after another move, like w[5A>j.A], it actually seems easier to me to do 6D>4CA, because the window for 4C is so much longer. However, this way still isn't as good in terms of speed. (Still pretty damn fast, though.) I'm pretty sure I remember getting more off 6B... I'm at work atm, though, so I'll check when I get home.
-
Well, if you want to do the loop several times, you need to use 3D or you'll end up too far out. I think it's easiest to do it with 1D, so it might be best to do it that way for mixups if you can't do it with 3D reliably. (Likewise, I think the wolf overhead is easiest by just inputting 1DCA) For the 236B~236B thing, I don't really think it matters. I've done it with all 3 D's, and the three directions for brake are exactly the same, although usually one is easier for execution.
-
Just did it. It took me a couple tries to get the final j.C to connect. That combo is really pushing the timer, I guess. EDIT: Actually I was just doing the jump cancel way too slow. XD I really like this combo and the w[...j.C>j.236B>1D>5D]>2C>6B... one. They're fun. It's not 6D. You have to do it with 1D/2D/3D. You're able to cancel the downward dashes slightly faster. EDIT: Oh and it if wasn't clear. That's ...236B~236B>2D>w[4C>j.A...
-
Pretty sure you have to get rid of landing recovery on 1D/2D/3D by using the brake. For example: w[5C>1DC>5C] Not 100% positive though caus I haven't tried to learn it yet. EDIT: Yeah, I was able to get it to work that way. Just read the other thread. Get both with one input? Sounds awesome. Gotta try. :D
-
No I meant C. The dashes are on D, but the brake is still on C. If you hit 1D,4D, or 7D during a dash you'll just get another dash.
-
It's not character specific (although it's a bit easier on some.). I found it helped with timing to enter the konig input right after the opponent lands from sturm. But it's really just one of those things to grind out... If you're having trouble with 2362369C, try 2369236C. If you're having trouble with 2369236C, try 2362369C. :P

I know the game comes out in like 12 days, so it doesn't really matter. But figure I'd clear up my previous error with wolf brake. Hima said it's 1C, 4C, or 7C. I think I was probably hitting 1C and thinking it was 2C. I do 1C for 2C a lot, anyway.
-
Oh! My bad. For some reason the arcrevo channel reposted it today. Edit: Oh, I see. The one before is from someone who captured the stream. Well, at least this one is better quality! =P
-
I think you missed: Zekuso (VK) vs Abarenja (MU) ^^
-
Hahah NP. I was just giving you a hard time. ^^
-
OMG Kiba. Page 8, 3rd post down. You responded to me! =P
-
It's just as Kiba said. You can't cancel Nacht Jaeger into Sturm Wulf, but 3C>236A>Sturm will combo. You just need to delay the super enough that you don't wolf cancel Jaeger.
-
Yo the Rachel palette is mine. Claimed that shit in the arcade 8 months ago. :3

I think on the third combo it's j.236A>j.236B. He wrote 2Konig. I know it seems like it'd be hard to get it to work with 2 wolf cannons. But in that combo you get the the cannons a bit faster than the second one. So, it'd make sense. Also it does more damage, so it seems like it has to be. Edit: Well, I didn't notice the second w[j.C] in there before. Maybe it just does more from that and the extra 5B instead of rozen. Although JC2 seems like a weird notation for j.C>dj.C.

I dislike tier discussions. So I won't be here long. But I'd like to say that comparing a character in the new game to its counterpart in the old game can be problematic. Without a firm grasp on the way the new game works, it's difficult to accurately analyze how the changes will effect them. And by "how the new game works" I mean more than just system changes. The changes to the way other characters work matters at least as much. Combine that with the fact that most characters look nerfed from the the perspective of Extend, and I think it's very reasonable that Valkenhayn could hold a higher position relative to the whole cast. Also, for what it's worth, from my time actually playing CP Valkenhayn (and watching videos), I feel like he's at least as strong, if not stronger, than before. (And by strong I mean how well he fares against the rest of the cast. Not some worthless absolute measure of strength.)
-
Oh! That's fine. I actually do the initial jump straight up (There's a bit of homing from the superjump.) and then double jump forward.
-
Just to be clear: The rozen 6D thing is not at all like...a standard part of my play. I never mean for rozen to get blocked ('less it's guard crush! >:D ), and when it happens on accident I usually 7D to escape. I was just saying that once in a blue moon you can go for a 6D. I don't know why it came up so much in the video. Sometimes you just let a bad habit happen a lot one day, know what I mean? heh.... BTW I would recommend trying to do j.C in the 9 direction. I totally understand what you mean about some hitboxes being annoying, but you lose a pretty huge amount of the strength of that ender jumping away like that.
-
Oh! Yeah I immediately thought Hotenjin, haha. Oops. Yeah in that case I think I would have gone for 5C>6C if I wasn't being a spaz. I actually do 5C a lot when I could go for something much better.... (Too many failed attempts at 2C when I was starting out spawned that habit for me, I think, haha)
-
Oh, I meant 6B FC. Not 5B>6B.
-
I don't remember what I did. But I imagine it wasn't intentional. Sometimes when I am in a situation where I can get a huge punish I like get excited and spaz out and do stupid things. XD What I would have gone for is 6B. Is there not enough time for that? Yeah, that's something I feel like I need to incorporate into my game. The thing is, I guess I don't really get what the advantage is. (Other than the safe jump setup, himmel, and 6B setup.) If I want to do human stuff, I love the w[j.A>dj.D]>j.C ender. It just seems far superior to anything else with all the OS madness you can do. If I want to do wolf stuff, j.B>j.B>j.C gives me enough time to transform anyway. I guess if there's too much proration for j.B>j.B>j.C then I might go for a wolf ender.... Like I'm pretty sure there's stuff I'm missing here, caus people go for wolf enders even when not doing one of the setups I mentioned. In any case I really like that Himmel OS and should go for it more.
