  1. Erika definitely has S tier potential. She's very good at range, but it does seem that if you manage to get in her face she's toast. At least A tier for sure. Agito is a great character with a mix of range and traps to make him sort of a Testament type character, which is really strong. I'd say his biggest weakness is fighting against someone with faster normals than he has, but I can definitely see him being S tier.
  2. Even though Burai and Rouga are probably the most nerfed characters in the game, they're STILL devastating. Both have great rush down, good mixups, good pressure, pretty beastly damage, and both are doing fine in the health department. While I agree that characters like Sanzou, Mecha Heita, Hanny, etc. should be buffed, a nerf does not instantly make a character bad. Even with all of the nerfs I would still put Burai and Rouga around top tier.

  4. Well I've sent them a couple e-mails and they did respond to me, but you can tell they really struggle with trying to communicate with English speaking players. Since no one in Aja can read English they have to basically use Google Translate, which as we all know doesn't always end up as being a good solution. I honestly think that if they had a better way of communicating with foreigners they would listen to what they say.
  5. With how rebalancing has been pretty constant they might not ever finish, but if they just complete everything that needs to be added in and stop rebalancing it, they could very well be done by December.
  6. He still can't even chain A>B>C, although he's got a meterless 6k corner combo, which is absolutely ridiculous and if they do make him playable I certainly hope he gets nerfed hard. His alternate colors are cool though.
  7. They're both pretty bad, but my opinion is completely opposite of yours. I think Hanny is pretty worthless and Manbou has good space control. The weapon switch thing for Hanny has potential, but it's pretty ass since you can't really follow anything up with a weapon switch cancel. Manbou though has pretty good normals and with the water drops and jet streams can create a hefty obstacle course. As for combos, you're going to have to stick to pretty basic stuff, neither is capable of anything extensive.
  8. I can think of a couple ways to fix him right now. Make his missiles faster and not knock away, let him cancel Heita Collider into air DP, and shorten the recovery on his arm cannon so he can follow it up with something. That alone should make him usable even if he isn't the best.
  9. Midscreen I got nothing. I've been trying to work on this jump loop he has, but the best I can see it doing is maybe 2.4k and I haven't even been able to land the full thing yet because it's so god damn hard to do. Mecha Heita is pretty ass, none of his specials are any good for anything besides his DP. Heita Collider is halfway decent in the corner, but midscreen it's almost useless. In the corner if you do 236C at point blank range you can get a full charge 6A and get a slide, but it's character specific and the timing is strict, so it's pretty useless. Basically, the only way you're getting damage with Mecha Heita from what I can tell is by chaining supers in the corner.

  13. Just Tiger Knee it. You have to do it a bit late when the 214A hits, otherwise you just jump and look silly. EDIT: Oh wow, Frontier Aja must be subscribed to my youtube channel or something, because every update they keep nerfing Rouga's damage.
  14. Oh cool, now in online you can see the ping of your connection. Fabulous. Also, does anyone have really flashy long combos for characters that aren't Rouga, Burai, Daigo, Devil Daigo, Mecha Heita, or Ren?
  15. If you watch the "Kumite" videos, a Ren shows up in every one. The ones in the Erika videos are the best, definitely shows off what Ren can do to you once he puts you in the corner.
  16. It's amazing, NONE of the Japanese Rouga players do optimal combos, but they all had a piece to the optimal combo puzzle. It seems every time I watch one of these videos I see something that helps me get even more damage out of Rouga, and his damage was already stupid.
  17. That's because online was patched in literally a few days ago and you need a CD key to play online, which many people don't have because they didn't pay for the game. It's a very underground game that doesn't have any sort of community anywhere, so offline matches are probably not going to happen for some time.
  18. Why can't the Japanese record in quality higher than 240p That Heita combo was nice though, didn't even know that was possible. A lot of the characters you listed are characters who require combos to get damage. Ren has a lot of traps and very dangerous oki pressure that scores him knockdowns into more pressure almost for free if it wasn't for the Alpha Counters and bursts this game has. It's not like Ren doesn't have combos at all, his shoulder tackle jump cancel into j.2C ground bounce can get him quite a bit of damage, he can easily get 4.2k on Rouga in the corner, and Rouga is not lacking in the health department at all. Ren's big game is corner pressure, get someone in the corner and they're in a lot of trouble. Of course in comparison he's going to be severely lacking in mid screen options, but when it comes to corner options he outclasses everyone.

  21. Well never mind then, hah. That Rouga player boosts a lot, it's pretty weird to see someone land a j.214A and then boost. Also, that Ren player was godlike. EDIT: While that Rouga player wasn't doing optimal combos either, he certainly helped me figure out an even better one. Doing 5C after 6A has a kind of tricky timing, but you certainly get quite a bit more damage off of it.
  22. I take it these are your matches? Does the game record replays or do you have to record while playing?
  23. That's not the problem. Of course 214A > 214B > 2C is optimal, my problem is that he ends every combo with 5B > 5C > 6A > 623A, which is NOT optimal. Even just doing 5B > 5C > j.B > j.C is more damage than that. The most optimal damage combo ender with Rouga though is 2C > 6A > j.A > j.B > boost > j.B xx j.214A, but that's new technology and I don't expect the Japanese to know about it yet (funny how this is the first game where the US and other countries seem to be ahead of Japan).
  24. I personally didn't like that Rouga's damage. He did not maximize his damage output at all. He had good pressure, but good pressure with Rouga is like being able to breathe well. He often didn't capitalize on hits and his main BnB was not optimal to begin with. Also, that boost mixup is pretty basic I though. It's good for the ever popular triple overhead setup in case the first overhead is blocked.
  25. Block strings will consist of chains anyways. It sucks that they made links impossible, but I suppose that links would probably lead to more problems. At least we can know which moves are advantageous so that you can make blockstrings safe.
