  3. 22C? obviously j.B+C lol
  4. It's probably just the pressure getting to Fenrichi before tournaments, because he seemed to be playing well up until then.
  5. I used to do this in training mode just to be silly, although i don't really see an application for it unless trolling, since it requires 100 heat :x I'd use it if someone has like a frame of life left so i can do some stupid shit like Ice Arrow > Rapid cancel > 5A > jump cancel gold burst :| It's a shame there wasn't much of Fenrichi in arc revo. Would've liked to see him play more. I'm glad tetsuwo is still around though
  6. The one time I have actually agreed with anything you've said.
  7. Dunno what comparison you are making with Blazblue, but there are no overall weak characters in Blazblue. Most characters have weak aspects to them, but all characters can excel given the right situations and conditions. Wouldn't call it having weak characters though :|
  8. 5B ID tbh. I personally think ragna is ass in CP.
  9. I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic. Regardless, I guess it's a trade between OD or a burst. There is no point hesitating to use OD for 5K though, since the burst recovers over time. I guess the choice in whether you want to save it for a burst or OD depends on the match up. Dunno about anyone else, but if i was playing against an Arakune, i'd wanna finish him off quickly, so won't hesitate to use OD to get 5K. Whereas if it was tager, i'd be a bit more patient, as i'm in no rush.
  10. At least Americans and Japanese can actually block. Dem eurofreans. I do look forward to watching Yutta and some decent combos though, he's one of my favourite (Bare in mind i didn't say the best) ragna players. A lot of people don't seem to know the difference between best and favourite these days.
  11. Kaqn originates from UK? Well that explains a lot..
  12. Some major things i want to touch on: 1. Your pressure needs a lot of work, as previously mentioned. The only thing i kept seeing was 5B > 5C > DS/GH/2D. Not only is your pressure repetitive, you aren't really making use of ragna's fundamentals. Ragna's 2C is + on block, so you oughta be throwing that out more. Also micro dashing and using 5A is good for if you think people will try to jump out. No one was punishing you for that pressure you were using, so i can understand if you think it's pretty legit. Against Better players, they'd be using a lot of DP's in your pressure or reversals...there were too many holes in your pressure. 2. Your Hitconfirm needs a lot of work as well. 3. I think you need to play more with Ragna overall in order to realise his strengths and weakness, and how to utilise him properly. You also need to work on your match ups, but that will come with you playing more. I honestly couldn't tell you how to use your meter. It's something you need to use your own judgement for. It depends on so many things, the match up and how the course of the match is going. For instance, if you are playing against lambda, you'd wanna lock her down, so maybe spending meter on mix-up might be best for THAT MATCH-UP, it hoenstly depends. I guess what i'm trying to say is let your instincts take over, they should tell you what to do in a specific situation. You shouldn't have to think "let me use meter for this", you just do it. Also, you should use meter irrespective of if they have a burst or not, it's better than sitting on 100 heat. Just don't use BK when they have a burst, for obvious reasons.
  13. Stop using 5D on block altogether. It's unsafe whichever way you look at it. For frame traps use 2A > 2C. As previously mentioned, you can't do much off of 5D on block, there is no mixup since they only need to block high. Dash cancelling the first hit is unsafe too. Best to just stop using 5D, unless you are playing against noel and using it on her wake up, or using it against people when you have them in the corner if you think they are going to jump out. 5D > DS is not good on block, try find a less predictable way of going into DS like 2B > DS. Better players will just keep using reversals on you everytime you try doing stuff off 5D
  14. All the more reason to rush her down and not wait. In regards to the other matches you posted against the tager: - Stop letting the tager get away with using super jumps to approach. If the tager uses a super jump, you can do one of MANY things: 1. Jump and throw him 2. Run underneath him to the other side for safety 3. Run underneath him and catch his landing with a 5B. The tager will obviously have to block the other way to block the 5B, most tagers fall for it. - IB a hell of a lot more. There are so many punishes you are missing because you aren't IBing enough. You really don't want to be sitting in tager's blockstrings. - Optimise your combos - Improve your hitconfirm - Stop using 5D on block In regards to the match against Lambda: - Rush her down. You aren't making it really difficult for the lambda to lock you down, you are staying away from her when you should be on her ass.

  18. Good Games to TD, Equalz and anyone else i've played recently.
  19. Ok i'm gonna just get straight to the point on this. Overall i think it's just that ou kinda need to play more and get accustomed to match ups etc. - Patience against Rachel Although patience is good in order to plan and anticipate you opponents moves, you are being way too patience against Rachel, especially in this match up. You are giving Rachel the opportunity to keep you at bay by setting up her shit on the field, which puts you (Being a ragna player) in the worst possible position, as she is pretty good at keeping you out. A better Rachel Player would've probably kept you at bay for the entire duration of the match. Obviously that's not ideal as you'll need to get in in order to actually do something due to Ragna's limited Range. Be more aggressive and rush Rachel down when you get the chance to. You have to be on her ass in this match up. Bare in mind Aggressiveness =/= Recklessness - Grab before george activates If you are pressuring Rachel and George is about to activate, just grab rachel. The point of the grab is not to actually get a confirm, but is to actually make george disappear and avoid getting hit, so it doesn't matter if your opponent techs the throw. It's a Win Win situation for you. You'll either get a nice Throw combo, or Rachel will tech, but obviously george will be gone. -Unpredictable block strings Keep your Blockstring options unpredictable. I don't wanna see 5B > 5C > GH or 5B > 5C > DS (Ok to use these, but not all the time...rarely in fact). :| It'd be better to use tools such as 2A > 2B > reset pressure, throw etc. Keeps the blockstring short and unpredictable. -Optimise your combos Yea
  20. Thanks KayEff, i will take all of that into consideration. I tend to usually doubt myself when it comes to combos when i'm playing..always second guess if something is going to work, which is why my combos aren't perfect. Here is another match that i'd like to be critique'd on if anyone has time. Is there anything else that i can work on, apart from the things stated above? Am i playing this match up right? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pheIbyA06vc
  21. For anyone that can be bothered to watch me, some critique would be greatly appreciated. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLwD7jYAie0&list=UUMsQTnKtiYMnCgOvwtjSngg&index=1
