  1. Nup. And the upload is like 120Mbps or something stupid.
  2. *cough* Algonquin *cough* I should finally start streaming weeklies in about two weeks, hopefully.
  3. Monday until further notice. You guys will know.
  4. I had to reschedule it. As soon as I fix my schedule, we'll be back to Tuesdays. Also, the Algonquin meetups are an "all title" meetup, but I have everything on hand, and will have ample consoles to go around sometime in the near future.
  5. I'm doing Bang FRKZ BnB combos in Extend. End of the combo looks like j.D > Dash.3 > OTG 2B > [Dash.9 > j.4C > Dash.6 > j.4C > Dash.6 > j.4C > Land] x 3 or 4 depending on the combo. I'm wondering if I have to worry about when I hit the 2B, since I read that proration can alter based on when I hit the downed character (They might have a bouncing animation or something) Also, Algonquin College meet is Monday! 6:10PM onwards. Student Commons, Room e206b above the Starbucks.
  6. General execution troubles. A lot of it to do with me just having shitty timing when distracted, plus how proration might differ depending on when you OTG. :S I won't know if it's a problem until I get a chance to play against peeps.
  7. Now if I can only land these sweet combos in a real match... -_-;
  8. I know that there's guys who sell Hitbox-style plexi for TEs. That's your best bet. www.tek-innovations.com/arthobbies/ Custom orders and stuff works too. This guy used to sell Hitbox style layouts specifically, don't know what happened.
  9. Yessss. Finally managed the entire cross-loop Bang Fuurinkazan BnB. j.4C all day err day Time to learn how to convert from airdashed jabs and I can be the new Dora. 8D
  10. Coolbeans. I brought 360 BB and GG I didn't bring extra controllers though. D:
  11. So. A few problems with Tuesdays. Schedule suddenly changed to put a 5 to 9pm class in Tuesday afternoons. Luckily it's one I'll be exempt for soon, since I took an identical class at another college. Until then, I kind of have to go to it. That means late Tuesday gathering tomorrow and shift of the Gonq meets to Mondays at 6pm until I can get my paperwork finalized.
  12. I totes have the video bookmarked of it. It's lulz. Edit: So what IS the deal with FRKZ in CP? Is it's duration not fixed anymore? I'm confused by what I'm seeing. :S
  13. I'm super-ridiculously new to BlazBlue. All I can say about CP is that I'm sad that Fuurinkazan was turned into a 3 second install. What's new with CP Bang, anyways? I'm practicing a whack-ton of BnBs and strings into Bumpers and pretending I know how to play. He seems pretty straight forward. I figure I'll just die to lack of matchup knowledge. Next on my list of things to do is to get some smattering of FRKZ BnB down pat followed by challenging our campus BB players.
  14. No! :D More seriously, schedule is full up until Tuesday's meet. Then it's full up again until Spring. For me, it's pretty much the Tuesday meets or nothing thanks to school, work and getting the huge Gonq event ready (More on that later, but we should be able to run all the ArcSys games now).
  15. BB training mode is so much fun. D:
  16. Sorry. No Gonq meets until school is back. Next week we'll be good to go. However, I picked up CSE on 360, so I now literally have everything. We also have some seriously good things on the horizon for 2013. You guys may not have to play on BenQs anymore.
  17. Algonquin Competitive Gaming Club (Open to Non-Students!) Hours Tuesdays: 5:10PM until Midnight and Beyond Location Algonquin College e206b of the Student Commons ("E" or "Student Association" building), 2nd Floor above the Starbucks. We have three decent BenQ HD displays (No audio, they're DVI-in but HDMI-to-DVI dongles are provided. You'll have to supply your own audio.) and one CRT TV. I'm going to eyeball extra consoles on Boxing Day. The only title I don't have personally is BlazBlue. We end up running a lot of GG and Skullgirls and we have some dedicated BB guys on campus. Skullgirls is going to blow up in GameDev here at Algonquin if it gets a PC release. Either way, we run every Tuesday if people are looking for a place to play. XBL: One Plus Tuque
  18. This episode of Runnin' Sets that popped up is really good. There's lots of solid gold matchup nuggets here, especially related to approach.
  19. I'm usually holding down-back because I don't think you can react to sweep. The timing of AoA from Killrush is about the same, I don't feel like I have the time to react and buffer.
  20. AoA out of Killrush happens a loooot. A lot a lot. Fuck that jazz if I can't make them pay dearly for it. Some of us have to play online.
  21. With the amount of overheads I get from Akihiko, it's been pretty darned important.
  22. There's many spots that you need to take CH 5B as your go-to punish option. A lot of overheads leave Kanji too far to go all grabby-grab, and between +11 and +17 frames. This means you can't 2B/5C/2C, and that means max damage is CH 5B > 2B xx 236.C/C+D or 5B xx 214.C+D
  23. Go try it again. It works on Teddie.
  24. Your answer is jumpback j.C If he tries to 214.C, 214.D or in specific cases, R-Action, you either get counterhit or a punish window. Obviously he has answers for that, but you get so much damage off of a command grab punish in this way that it evens out.
  25. Play the neutral ground game and fish for counter-hit 5C > Dash confirms. Kanji's normals are sloooooooooow. He has no far-reaching normals that have any reasonable startup or recovery. This mean the footsie game is decidedly in Chie's favour as you can punish Kanji's 2B and 5C on reaction with 5C if you space yourself correctly (Or stuff it his pokes out of startup). If you can watch out for his gimmicks and hail-mary's you should be able to get a lot of mileage in this way. I got all this from getting bopped by who I can only assume was MarlinPie on XBL a few afternoons ago. This was pretty much all he needed to do, since his oki was so solid after that one CH 5C > 66 > 2A confirm. Kanji's options versus your oki isn't as good as you'd think, since if he R-Actions your Persona instead of Chie, you get a free punish. Always lead with your Persona on his wakeup, and when you do, keep out of the R-action hitbox during Kanji's initial reversal window. If he mashes B+D, you win. If you don't have enough advantage for it, go back to the neutral game. Also, you can also AoA through his DP, provided you time it right, I think. Not sure if you're left at any kind of frame-advantage. Test it out in training mode. Edit: I hadn't even seen this and it's pretty much identical to what I was saying.
