Nice CMV. You fleshed out a lot of ideas I had absent-mindedly doodled with in training mode during the endless grind to let this character sink in. Though I've been shamelessly drawing on the trinity for power, this helped get me that spark back. For real though, how do you guys netplay with this character? Reactions ain't mean a thing, especially below 2bar. Feels like we're free to get disrespected on with little room for error coz our boy Setto can't make reads underwater. Lag does work in our favor when vortex is go time, but like good luck getting there consistently on mostly prediction

    also, as for a consistent combo off of j.214a>214 confirm i asked about earlier i came up with something tonight j.214a > 214 > j.22 > 66C > 623A > 2C > 214A[C] > j.A > j.C > j.B > j.214a > 214 > j.236b 3.1k in vorpal and no assbackwards delay timing, just do 623A as soon as you see them hit the wall from 66C it's easy

im using A+D+3B as a crouch tech OS against throw/assault when i dont want to fully commit to possibly whiffing A+D+3C, if im feeling out somebody's pressure, or seeing a new pressure situation for the first time. point blank 6D puts them at just about the perfect height for when you want to anti-air with that button anyway

yeah earlier on Nereus found in a rion video that you can take a tiny step forward after 214[C] to get the 6c>j.236b>j.214a filler to land and go into the standard ender :^)

God bless Brett. And yes to both imo As for the Gord MU I've had like 99% success calling out tick command throw setups with 5C. Don't needlessly jump in the air you will get bopped every time, unless you're baiting and want him to whiff, in which case you'd have to be confident you can outplay him (read: feel out the Gord player before you do this shit). Can't do setups in the air behind him either when he's waking up you will just get swatted. 66C works pretty good against him if he's getting repetitive with 5C, BC, or slide timing/spacing. Rinse and repeat until he starts to respect it, which is when you can start the yomi game and maybe start to sneak in some orbs. Unblockable setup works against him so make him hurt when you get meter, especially w/ vorpal for CS. but yeah guard is key in this matchup and just in general for playing Seth, make him earn his win through your defense and if he can't then call em out

Does anybody have a stable ender off of j.214A>214 starter? I can't figure out where to delay 6C>j.236B>j.214A>623B>DashC so that the orb hits consistently

Yo that's godlike, makes the Linne MU way smoother. Just have to tap and hold 6 for a split second before you hit C and voila, 100% consistency

I've been playing this kid a lot. My observations so far: - B is a pretty awful button aside from the occassional run up 2B - 5C is actually a really good button in a lot of circumstances, but be prepared to block or do some stupid gimmicky shit if you 5cc and don't hit, 5c2c is a little safer I think - Why does 3B exist other than to just fuck up your 2B? - j214a/b are really good in neutral, oki, and scrambles, just don't overuse - j236b is not always the answer in neutral - Try to meet people air-to-air sometimes instead of always looking for an anti-air - Invincibility on 623C is a godsend - 236a/b only seem to exist for a few specific setups - It's hard to challenge disrespect until you get good - Can't try too hard to make a setup or idea work, change your approach or setup instead - It's almost always better to stick to BnBs, other shit is just too hard for match until you've done tons of labwork - Seems really important you learn how to use guard to play this character Hardest MU imo is Gordeau with a special mention to Carmine, everything else feels winnable if you play well. Against those two I find movement to be better than pressing buttons. Best way to play the matchup is to use your movement to make a read that will either get you in or put you in a position to make a more favorable read. Guard and good defense against these guys is really important, just remember you get free GRD for good blocks. Make them think you're going to j236b but use j214a/b/c and aerial backdash or quickfall to punish or try and make them whiff . It feels like I win more if I use my meter on j236c or 236c instead of 623c. I've only been playing locally, it might be really hard to play Seth in lag. I'll try out netplay today and see.
