  3. Honestly, seems like the Tao match-up is still retarded. In CS2, you only had to get two, maybe three good hits in and the round was done. The oki was a huge help since Tao can't get out easily without meter. We'll probably have to simply guess right and take a risk in order to get some damage in now. Or decide to block and eat pressure and therefore damage all day. Only really played one Tao more often, but it's valuable experience nonetheless. Without going for something 100% safe, you probably won't be getting far in the match, especially now that Tao outdamages Makoto. Talking about outdamaging...geez, Carl gets some great damage in the corner.
  4. I'll hate the microdashes to get 5CC to work when people are further away. But it's better damage instead of 5B, so off to training mode, I guess. You can practice that with 4B+C > 2B > 5B > 2D (1) > 665CC actually. Shouldn't be any different in CS:E than it is in CS2. Unless I'm talking nonsense, then bash me. :x
  5. Need...to keep myself...from starting...pointless...tier list...discussion. Heck, no matter whether people agree or disagree with this list, it has been shown that Makoto is still a very capable character, so who gives a damn. I already know that I'll be sticking with her. :3
  6. I hear people saying they find Makoto boring to watch, but wasn't it mostly corner carry combo into knockdown and corner carry combo into corner combo into oki before anyways? She seems a lot more fast paced than before, like the change to her drives after CS1 and the change to her general combo length after CS2. Of course that means she's gotten worse, after all, we need a lot more opportunities and openings to kill the opponent off instead of 2 or 3. But, most of the combo enders should allow us to stay close to the opponent and maintain pressure. Heck, even her Counter Assault leaves to opponent right next to her. Yeah, she definitely has been nerfed pretty hard, but she still has plenty of her tools. And Asteroid Vision got adjusted as well. Either way, who knows what will be discovered later on, especially with the console version in December.   7. I remember seeing it used in a match quite a while ago. If I recall correctly, the angle is even steeper now, but I'm not sure whether that was a dash 214C or a regular one.
  8. Does 214C~D or 214C > j.CC cross them up when close range, is it possible when you do j.A > jump to get some ambiguous mix-up out of it. (Also, what are their options to counter/escape? Backdash, dash, anti-air (maybe she'll be too close for that?), etc.) Does 5B CH still go into 2C or is it only 5C CH now? Is 5D still really crappy on block or actually a somewhat decent poke (since 665B won't cover as much ground now)? What's the knockdown after 214B~D like? Are we at least + after recovering? :V Has parry changed so that we can follow-up without RC in any way? (I really doubt that, but might as well ask~) Is the damage after RC at least decent? Can you still combo off an AA-parry with 5A? Other than that, thanks for asking. :3 Have fun and kick some butt, since you're representing Dustloop's Makoto boards now and stuff.

Seems that the recovery was increased, so we'll most likely get nothing out of the overhead without RC or raw CH now. I can't remember the changes in CS:E properly, can you still follow up 214ACCCCC in the corner? Cause if not, we might as well confirm 2A hits on standing opponents with 2A > 5B > 6A > 5B > ~stuff~ now to get some extra damage out of it when midscreen.
  10. Well, it also took a while to find out the different ways to go into double Lightning Arrow and the orb stuff midscreen in CS1, so who knows what's being discovered in the future. Although, I guess the concerns are justified since Makoto has lost options with every new game while getting only a few new ones. But, all the footage from Japan shows stuff some might not have explored yet (I assume I'm not the only one who didn't know about 5D > 214ACC). Sure, it's kind of wishful thinking, but it's also pretty early to abandon ship or call her unimaginative. Just my two cents~
  11. Wasn't that just basically j.DxN though? :V Anyways, all we have to do is find some viable 5k midscreen combos once the console version is released, right? ... We're fucked.
  12. Don't forget that our dash has gotten a tiny bit slower, so especially the short dash-links might not work the way they do/did in CS2. (Also: Hi, Makoto boards~)
