I'm just a Rachel observing strategies from Hakumen's side and noticed you didn't have a thread for this Match up for Extend. I checked plenty times very carefully to be sure. If it was out of place for me to make this then I'm very sorry. Delete it if you like.

I got like 10 more people into Blazblue since I last posted here. One day everyone in the Valley needs to have an offline tournament. Maybe the people in Northern Mexico will join too? Don't know if there is much BB players south of the border.

I started with CS1 and picked up Rachel in December of 2010. Been playing a year and a half and I would consider myself in the top 10% of Blazblue players. However, tournament level is the top 1% imo. Big gap between where I am and the crazy people who go to those tournies. I wanna be one of those crazy people. I expect I will be in two years. And that's just with Rachel, I have an extremely hard time picking up other characters.

We have an arcade over here in Texas. It is a new kind of arcade. You pay entry and get in for a certain amount of hours. They have some old arcade cabinets but most of the space is PS3's 360's and Wii's lined up to play. They have Blazblue but they always wait until the console version comes out to get it on there. -

How should I zone a Bang that uses Raining Shuriken frequently with 50 heat? He gets me in the middle of a summon an even if I try to block My pumpkin goes and he applies pressure. Winding in is really risky because of his timing I usually end up getting hit.

I don't know who said Extend was boring. I still love Extend, but glad they are making a new game. Also about the music. I think every Blazblue track is godlike, even Black Onslaught. It's way better than the Guilty Gear music. (although that was good too) -

I was messing around in training and did a cool 100 heat Valk combo in corner, I was just wondering if it was practical or if I could get more damage. 236B (1hit), RC, 2C, 6B, 2C, 6C, jc, j.B, j.214B, 5D, w.236A, w.236B, w.5C, 5D, j.B, jc, j.B, j.C, 236236C. (6900 damage) for 50 heat you could drop the air distortion for about 5900 damage.

Yup, The rushdowns job is to rush in but at the same time be careful to not eat the zoning. I get really excited when I'm winning and that timers ticking. Makes them reckless. But yeah if I'm on the low side of health I need to do something fast. I try to play some mind games with the opponent and hope he isn't paying attention to the timer and go for a combo near end if hes playing defensive. I find the whole process really interesting and I'm scared CP will kill some of that magic. -

Time outs are not boring. They are just as legitimate and interesting of a win as a normal KO. Nothing funner than a standoff between two foes while a ticking time bomb is on the upper part of the screen. Puts pressure on the guy with lower health. Also I always thought it would be cool if Saya was made around stalling the timer since CS1. I now know many would disagree. -

You don't get negative warning for standing still and blocking (unless I'm wrong, I only see when running away). Its just something that leaves a bad feeling in my mouth. I find matches where you are about to time out very exciting and I prefer the timer the way it is. Plus it ruins the beauty of certain matches like Rachel vs Haz where I find the timer to be very important. -

Anyone else Really mad that all these tweaks are being made with the timer? It is pretty much being biased in favor of the rushdown by not forcing them to act. I for one like having Time outs. It is very exciting and the opponent can't say "Oh you are Zoning? I'm just gonna sit here forever and hold crouch block." -

Actually, I thought Unlimited Rachel was the hardest boss in an ASW game. Only time I ever hated Rachel. -

I think the existing characters need new astrals, Many of the characters from CT have lackluster ones. I think Rachel, Carl, Jin, Noel and Ragna all Need cooler Astrals and Bang needs a better input. And if they change Rachel and Carls I hope they become practical as well -

If the j.2C bounce is higher couldn't we use 236C after and superjump? Just speculation, might not be that simple.

I like the bat attack, sounds like Something Dracula would do in Castlevania. Love to see combos when videos surface as well.

I was going through the Blazblue.com forums and one of the guys at the loketest for CP mentioned a new move where Rachel turns rods into bats. Anyone else know anything about this new attack?

I can't wait for this. I also love how we are getting new palettes, I can not wait to see Rachel's *drool* Also like rachel's overdrive. the wind regen is faster. Would be awesome if it regenerated in air during overdrive too.
