  1. Thanks for reply. What is the loop precisely? Even if it isn't important in Extend, it sounds worth looking.
  2. I'm trying Carl challenge and I have problems trying to combo j.B, j.2C, j.B I don't get j.2C to combo into j.B, it seems I need to press a direction or a button after j.2C to combo anything after it, but it simply doesn't work always. Where's the trick? Thanks Edit: I figured out, you can combo after j.2C only if you are in the ascending part of the jump, please confirm or fix if I'm wrong I don't get the sense of this, I think there are probably "best optimal" combos to learn with every character, am I wrong? Please explain and help me because I'm new to BlazBlue and I'm thinking about playing Carl so a list of things to learn first woul'd be really useful :D
  3. LOL I simply change mind about what char to main every five minutes :D I picked this game twenty days ago, I quit Lambda for Jin, then quit Jin for Lambda again, now I think Jin is not bad at all, but I'd like to use Carl, then I see a video of Kaqn using Ragna and want to use him, then I try Litchi in challenge mode and want to play her... the fact is I like this game TOO MUCH to choose a single char, I can't decide myself. You say to pick a char that makes things you like to do in a match, but I simply like to do all the things chars in this game can do. Also, I'm in the mood of playing Guilty Gear with Anji Mito, but here where I live there is no GG scene, so I'd like to use a BB char that has a similar play style to Anji but I don't think he exist... Probably Litchi is the more similar? Help :D
  4. Sorry but I'm new to BlazBlue and I don't understand the Throw mixup well In normal fighting games, when you expect a throw you do a crouchtech, so if your opponent does a frame trap instead of a throw you pull out an attack and you are counterhit by the frame trap. In some older fighting games there is not crouchtech at all because there isn't a separate command for the throw, so you basically have to input back/forward + strong punch but in short the attacker has always advantage and has ways to exploit this and punish. In BB, if you ABC crouch tech you pull out a barrier block instead of a punch or a kick, so how the throw mixup is supposed to work in this game? Is really worth for the defender to simply try a standing throw instead of a simple ABC crouch tech? Sorry I'm new to BB and don't understand very well this mechanic. Also, I'm a noob in fighting games in general, but from what I read on the web veteran players suggest to not abuse of throws, overheads and gimmicky tactics like ambiguous crossup, they say that strong player can easily read them, they also say throws are risky, so probably the better mixup at high level of play is the strike/strike, and of course controlling space well, is it correct? Is it important for a noob trying to avoid abusing of throws/overheads/gimmicks at first and try to concentrate on zoning, spacing and strike/strike mixups? Thank you a lot
  5. Hello, noob here. This is my first experience with this game, and I'm trying to learn this character. I think the best way to start learning a game/character is to make it simple and master (at first) the simplest and effective things rather than trying the hardest or most complicated stuff in matches you'll have troubles just to move on screen without getting raped by older players. So I ask you BB veterans to suggest me some Jap or international good Lambda players that use a basic and simple (but effective) style of play, easy to understand and apply in matches, so I can learn the basics. Of course, I'm already watching all the vids I've found here and on the internet, but a more aimed suggestion woul'd sure help me a lot. Thank you, awesome thread.
