If the 22B catches the roll, that means you can D DP out of it anyway. That falls under the 2nd setup then. We always have a way to escape, but then again, it's hard to tell which setup she goes for, it's hard to react well enough, and the risk/reward will always be for kokonoe in any case. We'll just have to suck it up and wait for Arcsys to fix this shit.

Most common kokonoe's setup and ways to escape them. Well, i don't see any other way to run away except with AH, which is not a viable solution anyway
-
He tried to roll too late I believe. I did the exact same combo and could roll out. Maybe i messed up the setup, maybe not. Here are all possible ways to do it. You can see the setup in this video and I rolled and escaped. In any case this is just viable ways to do it, i'm not saying it's easy/kokonoe's setup is flawed or anything.

This setup is the worst for kokonoe. First, you can roll over kokonoe and she's free. Second, you can escape by doing D DP > follow up. Thing to notice, you can't delay your tech here, as 22B will reset you into the black hole and you'll die. It's not a good idea. I'll make a video later to show all possible kokonoe's setup and all the possible way to escape it. The 5C > Black hole setup is still the best option for kokonoe I believe. Most people won't know how to escape it, and a few character don't have the tools to do it (thinking of Rachel, Nu-13...)
-
Nope it works because Black hole doesn't OTG, so you just have to let yourself on the ground and roll
-
Posting it here as well

Here we go This is the best setup Kokonoe has. If she does the 22B setup you can neutral tech > 623 D > j.236D > j.214D and escape easily. If she delays a little bit the Black hole, it's even easier to roll + DD out of it You can buffer the DD during the roll, but you need to press D at the exact good frame. It's super hard to do tbh, probably a 1 or 2f tech, but if you manage to do it, she's free as fuck. You can OD + Install + KILL HER For those who wonder, it's the only way to get out of this setup, except AH (which doesn't need a roll, neutral tech works fine). You can't roll + DP or anything else, you will get sucked in. The only reason the DD setup works is that she isn't affected by the vaccum effect during the animation of the distortion drive. Banana DD doesn't work, neither OD + anything

Don't worry folks, i'm bringing the plan to take this setup down, beware :teasing:

This setup is retarded. We are one of the few character that can't do anything against it. I heard Astral can get us out of it but i've never tested it, and it's still retarded nonetheless.

I found 2C > 6C often whiffs. So I worked around and found this : works at any distance 2C > 5D > 5B > 6A > 5B > 6A > 5C > 236D > 6B > 22A > 6[A] > 6B > 236C : 4362 dmg and FC 2C > 5D > 6C > combo The good thing here is that 2C > 5D is safe on guard except if the opponent is very close and IB it. But it's a great tool for zoning and it's easier to hit confirm

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nkjdWaUVzw DD reversal combo, 3.2k damage, not too hard and match practical. Can also end with 236B instead of 236C for better oki http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxaIRJ8FVaQ Cross up setup without ressource and midscreen. Didn't try to find the most optimal combo out of this, that's just food for thoughts
-
Yep 5C doesn't pick up certains characters (bullet is one of those, don't know about the rest, the answer is in another thread i believe)
-
Connecting 5B is easy. Connecting 5C is easy as well, but 2C after is hard
-
Thanks for the video, very useful. I didn't know the backthrow > mugen > 6C tip, that's pretty cool. I tried and you can even backthrow > ODc > Mugen > 6C, it works ^_^
-
You are forcing your opponent to block and you can mix him up freely, and he can't escape this. That's huge.
-
Awesome man, thanks <3 @TheGreatReptar : Thanks for the tip on the dash, much easier like this <3
-
yeah edited sorry. To make this combo works you have to delay the DP, it's not so hard to do and it's pretty cool
-
Fancy combo time (works on any character where we can connect 214D > 2CC) 214D > 2C > 623C > j.214A(w) > 5C > 2C > 214B > 2CC > IAD jCC> 5C > 2C > air ender credits : duatra4ever

Someone has found the setup to make the banana DD hits crossover? I've seen it in a video but can't remember the setup to do it
-
You can do 5CC > 22D > CT > 6C, works on everyone, the combo deals a little bit less damage than 6C > CT but you won't have to go through the 5C pickup route. Exemple : 5CC > 22D > CT > 6C > j.D > j.C > 5C> 2CC > air combo = 4175 dmg Question : what's your best combo on forward throw midscreen and ressourceless?

Do you guys still enjoy Tsubaki?
-
Ragna = Denpa Tager = Shugetsu PT = Aru rest = no idea
-
Yeah charge cancel is probably the best, can't do much more since we don't have a tool that goes farther and faster than 236B. You could still 22D if you have a charge to knock opponent away, or 22B RC to keep the pressure. But there is no good way around that thing anymore. [rant] Don't get me wrong, I love the changes in CP, I love how Tsubaki is now, but man... I don't know if they nerfed our hitbox, or if the pushback/pushblock is more important, or if the barrier is more effective, but there is just TOO MANY WHIFFS. I've never felt so annoyed by this than in CP. If the opponent put the barrier just for a few second, our pressure dies out immediatly. If he's just a bit far, our gatling will whiff and we'll get punished for it. I've come to the feeling that only Tsubaki is suffering so much of these change. Arcsys did a good job in CP overall, but man they obviously went wrong somewhere in the path of our winged one. But i still love her. [/rant]

Ok i messed around in the training mode and found that our 3C beats Jin's 5C at anytime, it never trades. Can be very useful.
