Forgive me as I'm a bit out of touch with things atm, but has a unanimous decision been made on how to label Nine's elements for Notation purposes or is it every man for himself? Thinking about it some more I also prefer [W/A/F]. I feel it's the most straightforward and simplest method to use. (I also want to point out as a Rachel main/player, I would prefer if Nine's element was labelled as "Air" and that become the norm for her. It may sound weird/odd/annoying (whatever you chose) me saying this but thinking ahead when people discuss the MU in the future. There could be a possibility where someone is saying/describing something along the lines of "use wind to counter their wind" or "You can wind/wind-x here to avoid their wind move/movements". Just a thought I'd put that out there if my examples make sense? Hope my stray thoughts don't cause controversy or something lol, I could make a note or something in the MU thread when the time comes or something. Just an additional thought) I dunno if this has been brought up elsewhere already but as I've said, I'm out of touch and I'm not sure where to put my thoughts. Either way I'm curious about Nine and what people will discover with her in the next couple of week, I would like to try subbing this character someday

Just watched the stream and Ueda Kana played Rachel. Here are a few things from what I saw. - George shock time is less I'm sure. - Ivy stayed out on screen when Hibiki hit with his DD? Not sure if it stays out on hit but doubt it. It can help you get your bearings on how to perform the combo. Inspiring point you've made! If there isn't a combo video on hand to link to certain combos, we could use the video thread and use real match examples to link (video quality would be considered for visual study of the combo in question) Does that sound something like you have in mind?

CPEX in the arcade is coming to an end so I feel it's time to gauge feedback for what you guys would like to see in CF regarding a fresh thread in the works and/or how you would like the thread to be run. I already have a thread for CF prepared and willing to make changes if needed Please feel free to explain your thoughts, views, opinions. Anything you feel could improve threads like these. I have some suggestions I would like to share with you that you may or may not like. Here is what I am thinking going into the CF Thread: - The Thread itself is going to be renamed " Rachel Video and Analysis" Here not only do we post JP Match Videos as usual but we want everyone to take part in Analysing and discussing videos more. Break it down and explain what you felt the Rachel player did well or not so well at, what options you feel or notice could of been available to them at such a time and basically break it down even to how they conserve wind or use heat for particular things. Anyone can do it and people can then discuss more around various videos. The idea is mind is to learn through discussion how we watch and break down information we gain from these videos and how to we can then use that information to strengthen our own Rachel game - When I add all the links people have contributed or found wherever it may be. Well when you do 5B or even 6B, you got to then jump forward (so jump cancel 9 ) then you move the stick down forward (so 3) while pressing D and B in the air ( altogether = j.3DB ) and then Rachel's movement will take you in at that angle. I made some videos a while back but never got round to sorting them out or finishing the project I had in mind. I have quickly uploaded one that has a 2A route (can also be started with 5A). Hope the visual is more helpful than my words trying to describe it but I would practice 5B or 6B > j.3DB > J.C or even just Jump Forward j.3DB until you get the feel of it. https://youtu.be/fjwMe3c0pS0 I find a lot of Rachel is looking at something (I find from watching videos, looking through combo listings or discussion) and then going into the lab to try and figure out how it works and how it feels. Eventually learning how things are done through feeling and eventually it just sticks or something like Muscle Memory people call it I guess?

Sorry I've been out of touch recently with CPEX so I'm shaky with dealing out advise. That is I'm not confident without playing in a while. 5A/2A starters (If you are close enough) 5A/2A > 5BD > 6A > 4B > (3C 1 hit) > Oki [You can do 3C 1 hit summon George or just do 4B summon. I've seen Rachel's use George in JP videos most of the time] If you are not close enough you may be able to do: 5A/2A > 5B > 6B > 3C > Oki/Summon George (Sure this will vary depending on characters you get hits with) What I like to do myself when I tag a 5A/2A hit in and I'm a little further away is go into > 5B > 6B > j.3DB > J.C (land) > 5B > 5CC > Summon. (can vary iirc when characters you hit are stood up or crouching) The above can also be done with 2B/5B starters onwards. Ideally you want to try and get them in the corner but if you can't get them there you want to set up your Oki so you can go for mix up, set up poles, get another summon out or even bait DPs if you feel one is on its way. 4B is good ender for Oki and 3C[x1 hit] can also be useful. Again I'll mention I tend to see most Rachel players in videos summon George mid-screen. Another 5B starters that don't use 6DC in it to take people to the corner is routes like: (2B) > 5BD > 6A > 4B > Dash > 5B > 6A > 236A > Dash > 3C 1 hit > 214C > (Dash) > 5CC Sorry, I'm terrible at explaining things but I do recommend checking out the Wiki for further Mid Screen Information http://www.dustloop.com/wiki/index.php?title=BBCPE/Rachel_Alucard/Combos Players to keep an eye on when you watch Videos are N-O, Rin-Hime and Zero.
