  1. not having any problems so far facing Bang in EX. -always manage to lure him to do air dash and punish with 2C and vivace to CON. -bang 5D can be punish after a certain 5A 5A to 3C or 6B. -2D can be punish with 3C or just bait it from air with bounce 2C to CON. -Bang 3C can be punish by IAD 2C allecan to 5C, or just do 5C upon impact or 2B upon impact. Bang got universal hitbox, and its very generous for hit confirming, perfect timing and frame studying will be important for punishing his move. just stay away from your back to the wall as much as possible. that is all.

  3. looks like Arakune vs carl match up is REALLY debate able. Me myself getting quite problem with ara player. no matter how you debate it, ARA Vs carl can be 50-50 if we fought him on the ground, but if Ara has the upper ground and do air dash here and there, using j6a j6b or j6c, its almost impossible to hit them except you got after the active frame. anyway, Being the best is not about winning, its about showing how you manage to be at the top with skill, I still prefer DIO as the best carl in the world ^_^
  4. I just got ultimate slaughtering from a litchi player last night, those 2C counter almost all my air dash and air bait. Vivace got handled by 3C. Rushing in plain sight got Tsubame and oki with the stick when I recover right away. Having my mind blank from last nigh and diving fiercely in the training mode for trying other gimmicks >.<
  5. Vs Jin, do micro 2B and at the same time being caution of his DP (my friends always baiting for counter fubuki if I come to help nesan). IAD j.B could be useful too but its still a factor of luck. And cantabile. Vs Bang, people tends to do combo on Nirvana and suddenly do 2D when I got close so I usually do cantabile or micro 2B and IAD j.B 4]D[. or even do vivace in the right timing with 2]D[. Vs Blob, never seen any attack on Nirvana. Vs Noel, Watch out for sudden 6A when she hit Nirvana. when u sure he/she wont use 6A or cant, just play safe and counter. Vs Litchi, always get hits by tsubame when I come close to help Ada by air dash or jumping. or 3C when I'm trying to do micro 2B. vs Valk, 5C are annoying as hell, its literally pierce through nirvana and hit me -.-. so I cant think of way. well thats my match experience.....anyone wanna add? I need some help as well on this sucker punch
  6. I agreed. He's Resilient and hard to use, but that's why we love him <3. It leaves a certain satisfaction every time I manage to do a simple loop or even win a match.
  7. so its technically 3 unblockable setup + one full fledge combo of 4k or 5k and win the match like a baws XD Hopefully I manage to do this, need to dive on the setup tutorial 1st :P
  8. 0.0 I see, that what I miss......, I usually do reset and rushing more than thinking about setup than making an unblockable setup. that video just justified my biggest weakness on rushing. I guess its back to square one for me then, thanks for the input.
  9. @JG thanks for the full explanation @_@ and the correction, maybe I'm not enough as a carl at that time (getting my *ss handed to me soooo many times when using carl). and um anyway whats the "one hit" did u refer to? I'm confuse @_@
  10. if you compare carl to the other cast in BBCS2, he's almost an unwinable character. well thats my opinion though, after playing carl in BBCS2 and watching Dio and Zong play too, BBCS2 carl was the darkest era of Carl.
  11. Need help >.<. So I've been experimenting on C.O.N 4D starter combo like this 5B > 623C > sj.B> j.2C 4]D[ > j.C. 4D hits and enemy goes wall bounce. So my idea was to once again move and make the enemy still trapped in the C.O.N situation, BUT I ALWAYS mess up the timing of the dash, I've try vivase A and B but it didnt work, I try IAD and I mistime it. So can anyone please tell me the correct timing to dash so I can input 5C just before the enemy landed after the 4D wall bounce hit? coz from what I see, the 4D got lots more choice and chance to do much more damaging combo for carl setup.
  12. ah I see, well, its a factor of the players though, before I main carl, I'm using Drive in the O button (i'm playing ps3). but when I decide to drop all my char and put my love to carl, I change my configuration and make the R1 button as the Drive and it really help a lot. Like doing those aerial combos and moving Ada at the same time <3. Then again I've tried playing with stick and I sucks real bad T_T. well its just matter of preference.

  14. yea I'm having the same problems too. I usually do I.A.D B, or micro 5.C > I.A.D B to get them stop hitting Ada. Well its a mindset on how to make them remember how you gonna counter them when they hit Ada. If you're facing those DP character (ex ragna, jin etc), micro 5C and follow up 4D is enough to get them away and get some free 3-4k CH combo.

  16. So I got new combo to be share, I dont know if any you guys have tried this but let me break it down. C.O.N situation 5B > 5C > input 6]D[ > 5B > 623C > 5C > sj.B > j.2C > input 2]D[ > backdash > 5C > input 421]D[ > j.B > j.C > 5C > sj.B > j.2B > input 4]D[ > dash > 632146.C. It gain 50% heat and dealt 4.8k damage. how you guys think? please tell me if you find me inserting wrong command or input.

I agree, I dont really think about PSR, coz I'm not really an online player, but seeing carl changes and all, I think carl has gone up the tier list, from C tier in BBCS 2 to A+ BBCSEX, but he cant gain much higher because lots of aspect to think. like high priority hits, his low health and some more. I still having quite tough time against Pro arakune player. but I agree on this opinion. PS : BBCS 2 carl stinks -.-.

  19. thanks mate, honestly, This is the only carl setup that I cant manage to pull off, and oh, I used to botch the aerial 2C - allegretto. and 2C Volante, I often over mash it to fermatta Xd. but yea, thanks to this thread, my carl midscreen damage goes up from 1.2-2,4k to 3.6 - 4.8k xD
  20. many jin player uses rehyo to break C.ON situation, bait it with 5b or 5c and some late 6d for CH. jin j.b are unimaginable lame, those above, below, back and front hit was totally utter BS. dont fight back in the air, just do 6a but with exact timing. in a block string in the corner, if some jin player try to do j.b to your back (trust me, I did get hit from the back even though I was in the corner), quickly do vivase A before he finish the j.b animation and counter it with 5b or 2b. thats all (for now)
  21. well its bandwagon alright, carl having quite buff in his moves, and ada got pretty strong, many used to be carl player comes back playing shota , and its fun to see other carl player, we all can share our opinion about many match up XD.

  23. I'm using 5c jb j2c 4]d[ jc on C-O-N, after doing the 2d loop, so its better to do it that way.

  25. I was doing pressure with ADA meter about 30-35%. and suddenly BOOM! shippu, and there goes Ada...., and I end up running my ass away while Ada recovering. Died coz of guren CH while I'm airborne *sigh*
