  1. Okay, so apparently someone ripped the songs outta the PSN PS3 version of the game.... and that Leo song is the legit deal. Which makes me wonder what the fuck's going on. I mean, if that shit's fake, someone put a good amount of effort on what amounts to a legit sounding fake.
  2. Good thing I went in with skepticism. Sad to be let down, but it sounds good nonetheless (even if it is a fake from some cheap-ass dweebus looking to cash in on views).
  3. Not 100% sure if this is fake or not (the instrumentation SOUNDS legit) but someone *apparently* uploaded Leo's theme. I dunno how they did it, but they *seem* to have done so. Note the emphasis on skepticism. It's on Youtube if anyone wants to confirm.
  4. PCB did this?! Interesting. Do you have a screenshot of their logo in the credits, by any chance?
  5. Um... is that sarcasm, or is the netcode actually that nice?
  6. Hey, look on the bright side: at least she's devoid of her self-destruct sequence CA. That would've given her a nice fat room in the banlist condos.
  7. Honestly? Play whoever you want. This game has me going and checking out the animes of the characters that I don't know (almost finished with Black Bullet, and probably gonna start on Sakurasou soon). I mean, I like to think of him as a slimmer Waldstein. A shorter, slimmer Waldstein capable of throwing almost everything but the kitchen sink at you. Same way I see Shana as a fire-aspected, cape-wearing tsundere version of Hyde. Kirito is Seth with swords instead of knives (but has one of em hidden almost all the time). Asuna is Orie without the Persona, Yukina's basically Koro-less Ken, Rentaro is a fusion of Akatsuki and Eltnum, and Miyuki seems to be a less ghastly form of Hilda. I could go on, but I'm not sure if it'd be worth the time to rant about the similarities I see in each of the characters compared to others. I mean, hell, Akira doesn't even play anywhere near close to his style in VF5. Btw, in case anyone's wondering: the crystallized school building stage is a 7th Dragon 2020 stage, while the pink crystal Tron-esque stage is a Virtual On stage. And the gloomy castle that looks like it's on fire or set for some ritual? That's a replica of the final boss room in the PS2 version of Shinobi (I've seen that room more than I'd like to admit).
  8. I see. So basically, you wanna be on the ground when you anticipate it coming. Is the range on it enough to where I could plausibly, say, counterattack with Enju's divekick after block? Or are they both safe on block?
  9. Does anyone know if Taiga's Trump Card has a weakness? Because it SEEMS like it's really powerful when used as a reversal (taking out what seems to be 1/3rd of a bar, from the matches I saw it used in), and that would really make fighting any Aisakas a pain in the oshiri.
  10. I see. Any info on the following assists: Tatsuya Shiba and Sadao Mao? Though tbh, I don't know why I'm so eager to help out with this. It's just going to get discarded for Xrd soon anyways. Just like almost every other animu fighter (especially this one - it's got too many things that Pro-FGC, anti-anime peeps hate the living fuck out of).
  11. I think you guys should try them all out. I'm noticing way too few peeps experimenting and sticking to basic assists (Leafa/Kino/Enju/Touma). Granted, I also see Koko assists used (not to mention Koujou who seems to be really powerful from a glance, but not enough info to tell), but really - the more we know about everything, the better our choices will be. Particularly, I'd like to see some research done on Erio/Shiina/Tatsuya and the other not-so-used assists. Because all we've had to go on is observational assumptions, without any real work done on everything else (not to mention the amount of people who haven't heard of like, 90% of the roster, only coming in because Akira (*snark*) and Selvaria).
  12. I've seen quite a few Enju pairs as well. Perhaps its her moe factor or something like that. ... Actually I think it's her divekick-esque stuff. It covers the top screen quite well if you know how to use it. TBH, I feel like there's more to this game than we realize, but people are just dismissing it because it lacks a fancy kind of mechanic akin to UNIEL or GGXrd. If you ask me, though, I think people are extremely biased towards the old styles - which is why they love those games in particular (some peeps are just too scared to try new things). Maybe when I get the game, I'll experiment with different pairs.
  13. Picked Kirito partly because of the playstyle, partly because he's a dude (I tend to scout out shonen-types early on, or find the toughest woman in the cast if there is no male fitting that category), and partly because his Color 6 is a shout out to Elsword (which is why I felt like picking Leafa Color 3 or 10 - which could also reference Rena and Elesis respectively). My alternative choice (assuming Kirito was hard to play) was going to be Yukina, but I guess Kirito got the goods. 'Course I still have to get the game - $60 is SO not my budget right now. Oh well, least gives me time to study Kirito tech.
  14. From your avatar alone (Rentaro main, I assume?) I totally expected that response. With that said, I do indeed agree with your sentiments - Enju assist is totally BA when paired with Tomoka.
  15. Sounds good. Btw, what's the learning curve look like on, say, Kirito? Is he as hard to play as I've heard UNIEL's Seth being (a friend on PSN who was stoked for UNIEL told me he was pretty hard to play with)? And in terms of assists, who would you say has good synergy with him?
