Okay, I'm going fucking nuts over here. I swear my left thumb has gotten arthritis (okay, overstatement, but you get it) trying this combo over and over and over for hours at a time 4B+C > 214D~D > j.6D~C > 2C > tk j.214B > dash 5C > j.C x 5 > 2C > tk j.214B > (dash) 5C > 2C > 214D~B* And I STILL CAN NOT land the dash 5C after the first tk j.214B, and I only land the 5C after the second tk j.214B rarely while I spam C as fast as I possibly can (I turned teching off). What am I missing? Perhaps someone knows of a combo video that includes this combo?

[CSE] Hazama Combo Guide and Combo Discussion Thread

Heh, I'm going to practice the easier combos. I probably practiced this combo: 4B+C > 214D~D > j.6D~C > 2C > tk j.214B > dash 5C > j.C x 5 > 2C > tk j.214B > (dash) 5C > 2C > 214D~B* for nearly two straight hours, and never was able to connect the dash 5C after the first tk j.214B. Well, except for when I had teching disabled in training mode. But blue combos don't count xD -
[CSE] Hazama Combo Guide and Combo Discussion Thread

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I was practicing this combo and I noticed something 4B+C > 214D~D > j.6D~C > 5C > 2C > 4D~D > j.214B# Damage: 2913, Heat Gain: 36 It does 2913 damage and 36 heat if you only hit once with your 5C. If you hit twice, it gives 2992 damage and 37 heat. I'm not sure if landing the second 5C is character specific or not, but I was able to do it against Bang and Platinum (only two I've tried it on so far) -
Does proration affect how long you can hold a combo, as well as damage?
Yatta! replied to Yatta!'s topic in Beginner Mode
I see, I see. Thanks much! -
Or perhaps there's another term for it? The thread title may not have explained what I'm asking well, so below I'll have two combos to explain what I mean (these are Hazama combos) Hazama Combo#1 (this one works) 5C(2) > 236236B > dash (s)214D~C > 6C > dash 5C(2) > jump cancel > j.Cx5 > 2C > 4D~D > j.5B > j.5Cx2 > double jump cancel > j.5Cx5 > 214B Hazama Combo#2 (this one doesn't work). This one is almost the same as the previous, the only difference is the beginning 5D~D > j.B > 236236B > dash (s)214D~C > 6C > dash 5C(2) > jump cancel > j.Cx5 > 2C > 4D~D > j.5B > j.5Cx2 > double jump cancel > j.5Cx5 (breaks here) > 214B As marked above in bold where the combo breaks (at the end of the combo), after two or three j.5C attacks, the opponent can airtech freely. Why is that? I would have asked this in the Hazama boards, but I figure this is something that affects every character in the game, so it should be in a more broad board.

I'm just doing the training against Bang since he's who is used in challenge mode. I'll start practicing it by using 9 for my jump, but I must say, the delay after the stance cancel is driving me NUTS. Okay, I'm starting to get it more often now. I input 214D~D as fast as I can right when Hazama kicks Bang, then hold 9 and roll my thumb to 6 as soon as I see Hazama jump and hit D. Still unsuccessful more often than successful, but improving.

I'm having a hard time with this string: 4A+B > 214D~D > j.6D~C 49.95% of the time I land the j.6D after they tech, so the original combo was lost (in training mode with the AI set to tech asap). 49.95% of the time I wiff the j.6D completely. And 0.1% of the time I land it properly. Is there a trick to this, or does it just have a really tight timing?

What does it mean when someone "respects your pressure"?
Yatta! replied to Yatta!'s topic in Beginner Mode
Gotcha, gotcha. That makes sense. Thanks much. -
I was looking through Hazama's wiki and the description of Ressenga (214D~A) confused me. To quote it: "A relatively fast overhead move. This is the other midscreen combo ender you will see often. During pressure, it's safest to do this move after 5C as opposed to 3C. Opponents mashing 5A can beat it, however, so make sure they respect your pressure before immediately resorting to this." What does it mean to respect someone's pressure?

Are you sure? j/k I just have a large amount of social anxiety. Not really going to go into an further detail on that, but the likelihood of myself going somewhere (for the first time, at least) without one of my few friends nearby for moral support is very poor. My balls recede back into my body (figuratively speaking) when it comes to social interaction. Should my confidence receive a growth spurt in the near future, I will consider it. Be careful for what you wish for! :p

There's something about consoles that I don't like anymore. Probably the fact that if I have to sit down in one spot to play a game, I'd rather just be on my PC. The Vita is perfect, because if I feel like roaming around, no problem! And I never really liked using joysticks. I understand that I'm disadvantaged by using a pad, but it's more comfortable as I'm much more familiar with it. The Vita also has a real nice pad. I'll eventually get it, regardless. But it'll be awhile, as I'm still rather unfamiliar with the basic concepts of fighting games, as I never did anything other than button mashing in fighters before BB. Props to Xie and his Beginner Mode! Stuffs really helpful for a fighting game illiterate! Anyways, I'm getting a little off topic here, so I'll just end this with a "Thanks for the help!" and be on my merry way. You will likely have more questions from me in the near future, depending on how long it takes me to beat Gravity Rush, if Sony would hurry the hell up and update PSN so I can buy it. Is it so much to ask for Sony to take my money?

If you look up "introvert" in the dictionary, you'll see my picture. It's very unlikely I'll go anywhere in person unless a friend gets interested (about as unlikely as me going by myself) and wants to go. I do appreciate the offer, though! I'll get to practicing all that. Though I have a question about: [Y]ou can swap the 4D~D and after for 4D~A > 623D > dash 3C > 632146C if you have the meter. I remember seeing the 4D~A ender in a youtube video so I tried mimicking it and the dash 3C was making me want to throw my Vita across the room. How much benefit is there in doing the Dash 3C > 632146C over just doing the 632146C after the 623D? As for U. Ragna, I ended up just using Stylish mode. I felt dirty. On the plus side, I was going to have to win a fight with Stylish for the trophy eventually, anyways.

Well, if it wasn't for the completionist in me, I'd say I've wasted over a week. But it is required of me that I, at least, finish the challenges for my main, so not all is lost!
