The jin lept over particle flare on reaction, something he wouldnt have been able to do against corrona upper. I thought maybe it was a panic move, but DPs are usually the go to under that, so in my opinion he just didnt GOF what happened, and went for it. -

Anyone else thought the producers had no idea what to do with makotos balance up till now? I think shes gone through the most dramatic changes of any character throughout all installments of BB. Shes sorta that oddball characters whos difficult to twink with, without making either totally awful, or totally broken..... How balanced she is now, its hard to tell what buffs they could make without putting her over the edge. -

The start up of her 2A is 6 frames, and its -1 on block, while some characters 2As are at the fastest 7/8Fs, depending on how fast her dash is increasing her 2A to +2 on block may actually allow her to jab&dash alot of characters for free. -

lol no, combined with her jabs initial start up+dash speed, she could probably jab&dash repeat any character without a DP for free. -

Grabbing makoto during her parry doesn't count as a throw counter does it? Pretty sure I could still tech grabs if they grabbed me during it in CS1, but that changed in CS2, which made me a sad panda :/ -

Micro dashing period is what killed me, that, and timing the 2C for certain characters I couldn't do it consistently at all no matter how hard I tried. -

At least she doesn't have to worry about character hit boxes anymore, it was broken that moves like 5CC couldnt touch characters like valk, or jin after J.D, and oh load Noels hit box was straight up wtf broken. I never could nail the micro dash after 2D into 2C, so matter how many endless hours, days, weeks, even mouths in training mode I wasted against certain characters. Which is why I prefer characters lenient on execution...I dont have the talent to use harder characters like tao, litchi, or carl. -

Also, but beer with me because this may only be a rumor.....but I heard makoto is getting a new outfit for console release.....to cover the underboobs...... -

Also for OD combos as well after a jump cancel, some opponents sitting somewhat comfortably at about 30-35% HP think your end with j.5D into oki, only to hit OD instead, and corunna upper into a nice combo ending with particle flare, for the win. -

It wasn't reliable in EX due to its very poor start up, but now using it after such moves as 5D in the corner limits their options on wake up greatly. To either blocking the orb, depending on their hitbox, then your incoming mix up, DP(which can be baited by simply delaying your assault slightly), super(same thing, and generally not a good idea ever), or jumping which you can easily react to. Outside burning 50 heat for RC after a DP, I haven't noticed anything that consistently works against it very well, at least nothing that makoto doesn't have an ansew for.....though maybe I missed something. -

At this point it seems everyone's found her best combos, and though she has more room for variation nothing beats the best...but since this applys to all characters, and fighters in general, this cant be called an issue....can it? -

Because winning is fun, and we see her not only used significantly more but winning as well, which is the main reason why in our eyes sees so much better. God I cant wait to use her.....and win. -

^yea.....The corner combo I saw required only a mid OD meter with haku at a little under 40% HP, and neglected to mention the starter move was his freaking insanely fast overhead tsubaki of all things O_o Its true she may be able to get around their somehow, but I hope by viable means :/ -

Is her OD as good as most say it is, cus I've seen a hakuman recently deal a viable 9k combo with his in a match......and so far I havent seen her numbers reach anywhere near that yet. -

Im glad hers is good though hakuman, and platinums, are on a whole other lv from the cast when combined with their power up supers, I've seen hakumans make quite a few comebacks with his, and platinum depending on which items she has is essentially a rushdown/zoning/keep-away killer. Though for combo purposes makoto may very well be the best. -

Latest combo vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0o8NM8PoOE&feature=g-all Her damage output overall....is decent compared to noel at least....maybe, using her 2/5Bs for corner carry, and 5B for her 3.3/3,8 damage combos midscreen, will be her game though breaking 4k outside moves like 5b wont be happening often. Also it seems her supers wont be adding much damage outside OD, so saving them more for mix up, and crush trigger, was perhaps the developers intent. Also is it me or has their been far fewer makoto's recently? It started happening when more players started using noel, and figuring out that shes even MORE braindead then her CS2 pre patch, but even better........ -

Speaking of her crush trigger is makoto's one of the better ones? I dont see most others used very often, if at all, even for combos, with the exception of hakumens, though I haven't memorized them all yet so I may just not have noticed. -

^Its useful.....except that its easily telegraphed, and for the times they DONT fall for it your get blocked, and promptly punished....unless you've got godly reaction, but the wall stick allows makoto to convert combos from more then 1/4 the screen into corner from just a jab. Something I think we're all find to be much more useful. Also their are safer ways of punishing DPs anyhow.
