As a new Makoto player I've been eating her challenges for breakfast, until 29. That F tk'd aerial Corona is driving me crazy. It's even worse than tk'd aerial Blood Scythe. -

Having only one tier is the goal of patching and rebalancing. Of course in a game like BlazBlue there will always be tough or unfair match ups but through patching the developers are trying make these differences too small to justify different tiers. Or that's what we hope they're doing. Since CT is fresh on Steam it's morally ok to talk about it once in a while *wink*

To my experience you're better off in the air in this match-up. Standing still will earn you a ton of Steins around you and grounded approach is awkward due to Mu's 5C, 236A etc. I find it's more effective and stressful to Mu players when you keep jumping over them fishing to land crossup j.2Ds, making their Steins net useless plus she doesn't have really great AAs. 6A is faster but not good vertically and 2C can net her a damaging combo but it's slow both in its' startup (14f) and recovery (27f), meaning whiffing one will cost a Burst. ^It's relieving when other than Azrael players come to bash their own character's normals in their respective MU threads :D

Double-post bump, Arcadia says Azrael is S tier along with Koko and Litchi and the rest of the cast is A (except Makoto...) Thoughts? I don't think by not getting nerfed fixes all his bad MUs. Like yeah Hazama can't do j.C loops so easily anymore but he still has the chain, right? -
Valkenhayn NOT S tier? I don't even I don't particularly care for tier lists but this just baffles me.

That is more a trait of Azrael himself, being link-based and all that. We all like to boast about his damage but on the other hand you have to make good use of moves like 5A and j.A against tougher opponents. Good players know how to block and when to use reversal moves unlike computer AI which randomly tries to retaliate with 15f+ startup moves between 5B and 2C. Plus there are many Azrael players online so people know how to play against him. Try out stuff like 5A > 2A , 5D or 66 > jc. j.A , (crossup) j.B > 2B > TCL, play with his forward dash jump canceling, if people block your Gustaf or Valiant > RC 6D. -

I did it guys, I beat Unlimited Mars (course C) with Az. 2 words: Frame. Traps. And 3C. -
Stay to the ground + use 5B and you'll be fine.

I guess it's possible only either very early in a combo or with CH, otherwise opponent can tech after 5A/j.A. Or then I'm doing something wrong. -

Thank you Zeth for your hard work! As the patch is getting closer and closer, should you Rath as our new Az mod update the Overview/FAQ thread? It still has the old Sentinel motion plus (as it was pointed by RentalBlackout out in the Tager MU thread) 5D has aerial frames which I think is worth writing down. I don't mean right away, just a heads up. -
I'm doing a review of CP on a Finnish magazine and I'd like to know for sure ('cause I'm not 100% sure), was it Yuhki alone who did the arrangements of the old tracks or was there someone another too?

^5D beats grabs: I tried it out with 360A, you get CH even if Tager holds A. Still on wakeups it's tricky 'cause if Tager decides to backdash before grabbing you're in trouble.

^5D beats grabs: That's pretty interesting but I find 3C is better as it's easier to time right. Def beats all grabs (maybe A sledge too) plus if it's blocked you can RC > j.A it for what, 7 frame overhead after a low.

I'm guessing no physical copies 'cause every BB fan already imported the JP or US version. Either way for those who really want a physical copy, it probably is just as cheap to import the NA copy as it would have been to buy a physical EU copy. When it comes to store prices the $/€ conversion rate is BS.

I used to play Tsubaki CS2-Ex era and the only really hard thing in transition to Azrael was learning not to mash inputs. I guess watching Azrael match videos for about 9 months before actually getting to play him must have had some input. -

I need to learn to TK aerial Blood Scythe, right now my midscreen combos feel to fall short and end with DID prematurely. I hate it 'cause it's so inconsistent, I can do it cold 90% of the time but in the middle of combos I always end up getting the slow version :| -

@Spectre I suggest after resetting with Gustaf try out stuff like 5C > 6C, 5C link 3D or 5B > 3C. 5C should catch any attempts to jump out, FC bounce let's you get a weakpoint. Try throwing out a Sentinel here and there as well.
