  1. The first setup you listed should work. The second one I usually add in a SJ.K before the SJ.D. You really just have to get a feeling for when the loops are possible and when they are not, it's dependent on height and how 'deep' you are. Try this one in the corner: Counterhit J.S, 5HS FRC, J.K, JC, DJ.K, Level 2 Missile x 4. Be really quick with both jumping kicks. I'll be updating the first post and/or adding a guide so be on the lookout for those soon.
  2. The Robot player is Slashbacking the Det. Mode/Overclock explosion infinitely, preventing it from ever actually happening. He was fighting against EX Robo-Ky, probably for the sole purpose of using the Missile Strike super and illustrating how even it would not hit Robo-Ky.
  3. Hellmonkey found this video on some Japanese site. I present the new Top Tier strat, DET. MODE SLASHBACK RUNAWAY: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yeD-TN5GtfA I'm going to win EVO West with this shit, haha.
  4. Yeah I was doing a similar setup for awhile. I think the damage is less than if you aircombo though. However, say you IAD with J.S, J.HS. If the J.S connects as a counterhit and you've already started doing J.HS, in earlier games you kind of sabotaged your own combo. Now after the J.HS, you can Force Break into J.K, JC, J.P/J.K, J.D or a combo similar to the one in the previous post.
  5. Dogura just won an A-Cho ranbat. Some of the players he took out: Doubt (SL), R.F. (who beat Woshige), Kazu (JA), Attsun (IN) (who beat P.C.), Take (Buri), Kazun (PO), Shichiya (TE). I'll mess around with Dust combo tonight, thanks for the input.
  6. Cool new AC Robo video from Japan: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIf0tMTh2Gw "Guilty Gear XX Accent Core - Armored Core" Some neat 80% heat mode stuff, cross up with Level 3 horsie in corner, and new setups for missile loops. The Force-Break segment made me smile as well.
  7. Unable to check right now as I'm at work, but the Japanese were saying on their blogs: 5D, J.D, JC, J.K, J.D Also when you're in 80% heat mode: 5D, J.D, JC, J.D, Force Break, J.D, Missile (if possible). Dogura busts out a non-legit Dust combo at the end of Round 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xbE3Oe_3Lk If somebody wants to see if it's possible that'd be cool. I'm without access to AC till Sunday.
  8. Great game. Too bad Phobos/Huitzil isn't in the arcade version of Vampire Savior. Crimson: Did you ever get Bulleta's quasi-infinite down? There's a really good Japanese player named Sako who could get any hit to lead into it. Wish I still had some of his vids on my comp. I've always enjoyed Aulbath's bubble trap as well. The Vampire Savior thread at SRK and Wiki have some good stuff: http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=54122
  9. For now yeah. Once we get enough info I'll move all the posts to a new thread, but we might as well keep all talk of AC Robo to this thread for the time being, minus his matchups.
  10. Decided to make a vid showing the potential for Robo's Force Break: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsu1H7J3HHI There's some other stuff that didn't make it in the vid, but it will be lumped in together with the next one. Whenever that is...
  11. Yes. Frames 1-26 of the taunt animation are invincible. Even in the older games it was present. If you hit Dizzy out of her flamewave super, the flamewaves will still pass through Robot as he's jiggling there getting meter, good stuff.
  12. A most definite 'NO'. Robot's damage, speed on normals, lack of any proration on command grab, invincibilty on his SRK, free delayed getup, and jumping Hard Slash all make him far superior to his Accent Core counterpart. There's even more that's better about #Robot, but these are the ones that come to mind off the top of my head. Now if you're asking which version is more FUN to play, that's a different story. Random stuff from 28 hours straight of playing AC with SoCal: As they are waking up, 2369D (Force Break), let the stick go to neutral for a second, J.S, 2K, 2S, 2D. While in Det Mode/Gen-Ky @ Level 3 with 6 blocks of tension, throw out a Level 3 horsie, if it hits they'll float, activate 236236S super and mash Slash till you detonate. You can end aircombos with a Force Break and fly toward them for an air throw. More to come later.
  13. Check out the vid linked in the first post. Besides that, try something simple like this: Instant Air Dash toward them, jumping slash, jumping hard slash, Force Break, jumping slash or land and go low.
  14. So uh, how about that Accent Core eh? TK Force Break into J.S as an overhead is amazing. It's easier if you hold up after you activate so you can get all the frames of it out. Conversely you can empty jump TK Force Break into 2S for knockdown. There's also the riskier option of quickly flying toward them and going into command grab. As far as combos go: 5HS FRC, 2HS FRC, SJ.K, SJ.D. There's going to be some good damage potential with the earlier 2HS FRC. I'll edit the first post w/ strats and pressure once I get a larger list.
  15. Happy to see some of the Japanese Robo players using Det. Mode, even if they died in the process. I'm also hoping to see some more successful setups with his Force Break. But for now I'm just glad to have some new vids w/ him.
  16. It's kinda confusing, and I worded it wrong, sorry. It's not TECHNICALLY a fourth jump. You can do jumping slash, double jump slash, forcebreak CANCELED into a jumping slash, triple jump slash. So you are correct rtl42.
  17. Edit: It's jumping slash, double jump slash, forcebreak XX j.s, triple jump slash. However you cannot cancel the Force Break itself into a jump. You CAN cancel the Force Break into a jumping move using momentum, this can be deceiving as it looks like another jump. Check out the last combo in the Tougeki Damashii DVD video.
  18. Find a playstyle with him that you enjoy, even if it's just spamming Level 3 missiles. Everything else should fall into place. Once you activate his Force Break with aerial 236D, Robo goes into a state where you control him with the joystick. This lasts for 67 frames. You can cancel the move into anything that's not movement based and it resets your jump options.
  19. Finally got some free time, so I got this up and working today. DrStrmLk or Stormlocke | SoCal: Laguna Beach | Delay 4

  21. Ranbats on the new cabinet, go go go!
  22. I was mistaken, the one I listed was the 109 hit.
  23. Was it det. super into headbutt super, explosion, mat, 5S, 5S, headbutt super again? Because that combo is hella hard to time. Props to him for being able to land it, usually it's not worth the effort.
  24. Friday is Arcade Infinity and crazy Japanese/Chinese food. Arcade Infinity 1380 South Fullerton Road, #206 (inside Diamond Plaza) Rowland Heights, CA 91748 In addition to Guilty Gear Slash they have: Hokuto No Ken, Rumble Fish 2, Melty Blood Act Cadenza and Senko no Ronde. Just pray the sticks work, and if they don't hope that the manager is there to fix them.
