  1. Yes, the standard metered (25%) combo off 6K (or It's Late) in corner is: 6K/It's Late 5K 6P FRC 6HS 5HS Undertow SJ j.HS j.D j.2K j.D If you hit 6K pretty far, 6P might not connect, so going 6K 5K FB Dandy Crosswise 5HS Undertow SJ j.HS j.D j.2K j.D
  2. Hige Corner 6k Meterless Combos Taken from En's blog here: http://blog.livedoor.jp/en712/archives/51879302.html Original: 6K 5K 6P 5K j.S(2) j.K 5HS Undertow 5HS 214P-P 6K 5K 6P 5K j.K j.2K j.K 5HS Undertow 5HS 214P-P Use on JA, ED, VE Variation 1: 6K 5K 6P 5K j.S(2) j.2K j.K 5HS Undertow 5HS 214P-P Use on AN, JO, KY Variation 2 (not as much tension gain): 6K 5K 6P 5K j.K j.2K j.K 5HS Undertow [2S] j.K j.2K j.D Use on MI, AX, ZA, SO, OS, MA, BA, BR, FA, JU, DI 6K 5K 6P 5K j.S(2) j.2K j.K 5HS Undertow j.K j.2K j.D Use on AB 6K 5K 6P 5K j.S(1) j.2K j.K 5HS Undertow j.K j.2K j.D Use on KL, IN Variation CH: 6K 5K 6P 5K j.K j.2K j.K 5HS 214P-P Variation TE: 6K 5K 6P 2P 5P j.S(1) j.2K j.K 5HS Undertow 5HS 214P-P Variation PO: 6K 5K 6P 2P 5P j.S(2) j.2K j.K 5HS Undertow j.K j.2K j.D Notes: SL and KL will get hit by j.S 3 times if used during first jump. JO and KY are a little heavy, so you can use 6K 5K 6P into 2P 5P or 5K 5K to guarantee that they don't fall too low. May be needed for Ky CH's combo can probably be optimized, but I was having trouble finding stable combos and the one listed above is 200+ on CH already Stuff can probably get more optimized but this is what I've got so far based off the original combo.

  4. Bump. As a reminder we are scheduled for this Saturday. Come on out and let's have some fun!
  5. Thanks to everyone who showed up, played, spectated, helped setup/takedown and brought the hype in general to make the EXVS event a huge success! Special thanks to Shingin, PhaethonH, BBV and Jinbu for being integral parts of setup/takedown! It was a great experience being able to meet everyone and to see so many new faces - it was pretty overwhelming. 720p footage of the entire event should be posted some time after this Saturday when I get my desktop back. See you all next year!
  6. It will likely be on twitch.tv/thebrett and we will get the stream online as soon as we can.
  7. Friday or Saturday before the tournament starts should be fine. If you are running late or what not tweet @kazmadan @dakanya or @theloafingone Edit: Entry looks like it will be $5 per person = $10 per team. Edit 2: Also, if anyone would like a square avatar shown next to their names on the stream layout (see the box here: http://puu.sh/3zhCr.jpg), please e-mail it along with the entry name to theloafingone@gmail.com Thanks!
  8. Friday is signups/casuals/equipment test and Saturday will be the tournament. If the 4g connection seems stable we'll run the whole thing in the BYOC but if it tends to drop matches like last year then we'll be running top 4/8 in Gamecenter's anime suite.
  9. We will be taking individual signups at Evo for people who would like to be placed with other players who are looking for partners.
  10. Thanks to everyone who came out and made this past Norcal Dogfight quite a fun one! Apologies for not having as many games as we usually have. 15. Norcal Dogfight is happening today and the stream will be at the usual place: http://twitch.tv/norcaldogfight As VSAV has recently come out on PSN, we will probably have at least 3 setups and a full tournament on stream. Please look forward to it! (Sorry, no stream layout for VSAV this month =X)
  16. Bump. Stream will be coming online at the usual place: http://twitch.tv/norcaldogfight
  17. Won't be able to make it, but will tune into the stream.
  18. From what I understand from reading that thread: PS2: 4F (CRT) XBox: 4F (CRT) 5-6(LCD) (In our case, 5F because we use LCDs with sub-1F display lag). PS3: 3F (CRT) 4-5 (LCD) (In our case 4F because we use LCDs with sub-1F display lag). So it would make more sense to me to run PS3 GG specifically because we (usually) have at least a couple of PS2 setups running on CRT AND the fact that the majority of players are used to 4F (due to PS2s). Furthermore, if we wanted to play GG through Xbox through a CRT (4F), we would have to output at 480i. Running 480i GG on Xbox would be exactly the same thing as running off of PS2s since both would require a CRT to be at 4F. That would defeat the entire purpose of playing on an HD system other than being compatible with Xbox controllers. So, unless I'm understanding something wrong here, that thread is pointing us clearly in the direction of using PS3/PS2 exclusively as Xbox360 would be either 480i interlaced or 720p w/an extra frame of lag - neither of which is very desirable. And yes, I am aware that there exist CRTs that support 720p, but that opens up an entirely new can of worms and to make a long story short: no, we're not going that route either.
  19. Bump. Dogfight is today. If you aren't being destroyed by finals, come join us!
  20. This may be quite the feat. That being said, Dogfight is today. If you aren't being destroyed by finals, come join us!
  21. Fixed your typo. TJ;DR: Come to GC next Saturday if you want to get bodied in GG. It may coincide with NCI but whatever.
  22. "Sorry. The pleasure has gotten worse. To the point where I can no longer move. I was looking forward to pleasure, but please schedule it for another day. A day where I am no longer feeling pleasure, please. This means, tomorrow's pleasure session has been canceled."
  23. Don't worry bro, I got this. "Sorry. The pleasure has gotten worse. To the point where I can no longer move. I was looking forward to pleasure, but please schedule it for another day. A day where I am no longer feeling pleasure, please. This means, tomorrow's pleasure session has been canceled."
  24. Videos from the 11/17 Dogfight are online in playlist form here. Guilty Gear Round Robin Pools Guilty Gear Singles Tournament Aquapazza 2v2 Tournament Persona 4 Arena 6v6 Exhibition Match NFL Blitz 2000 - Denver Broncos vs. Dallas Cowboys NFL Blitz 2000 - Denver Broncos vs. Minnesota Vikings Mario Tennis - Doubles - BATTLE OF THE GODS It was a fun gathering albeit we started late which put some pressure on timing and getting through most things but in the end it all worked out with some extra time to spare. (Thanks Myung for staying open later than normal!) Next time I'd like to play more Gundam as that game is awesome and doesn't get nearly as much love Thanks again for everyone who came out and especially to those who participated in the events! As always, if you have any questions, comments or complaints please feel free to post them!
