After you understand the basics/techniques, watch videos/streams of JP players and compare how they play back/front to how you play back/front.

[FB] To the Gundam VS community, I want to have a simple discussion
magz replied to RoboP's topic in Gundam Extreme Versus
Considering the fact that we had to use a JP proxy to even watch the most recent Premium Dogfight, I have a sinking feeling that Bamco doesn't like the prospect of spreading their EXVS series outside of Japan/Asia. Add to that the number of EXVS videos I've had taken down from YouTube makes me doubt that they would ever entertain the idea of bringing the game to the states. That being said, I also think they are making the wrong decision for not bringing the game to a market which basically has no alternative right now (does Armored Core count?). Either way, I believe there to be enough Gundam fans in the states to make a decent sized profit unless they have already done the math and decided that it is just not feasible budget-wise. Stripping the music would probably be a bad idea as that would leave the option to have people go out of their way to get the import versions as I believe the music to be an important aspect of the game as a whole and it would be a big draw for players who get it specifically for the single player aspect. -
[FB] Gundam Throne Drei General Discussion: BAD HARO
magz replied to BlitzWhat's topic in 2000 Cost Suits
Don't know why this hasn't been mentioned yet, but you can do AB and AC during BC and BC will not be cancelled. AC (and probably AB as well) has Forbidden's Raider-class absorption and will generally keep you safe from everything outside of melee or low/high angle shots. 2BC also negates the rise that 5BC would normally do so you can do low-altitude GN fields as well without the setup described above. Another noteworthy tidbit about AB is that it preserves a fair amount of momentum on use and can be cancelled from BR. Can't quite remember if AC has the same cancel but I would not be surprised if it did. Edit: The proper way to cancel out of the GN field when overheated is your main BR which will cancel the field and cause you to drop. Edit 2: I like the idea of doing it for as long as the opponents don't want to invest in targeting you. Assessing the current situation and risk factor will play an important part when deciding between assist coverage versus aborting completely. I have been thinking that the ideal partners for this suit would be something along the lines of Master or any high firepower suit which opponents can't afford to ignore. -
Bump. As a reminder this is going down this Saturday!

Just so I don't keep searching if this is the right one - is this the right thread to watch for the BBCP system sprite/art rips or is it specifically only gallery stuff?

Interesting bit of information that becomes relevant very soon is that this was changed in FB to only limit the number of funnels back to the standard amount rather than setting to 0 upon psycho frame ending.
-
I don't think there is a specific hard limit on ground bounces - rather just the normal combo limitations.
-
If I'm reading the frame data right, it's 1f unless you can somehow get it to hit with the 2nd or 3rd active frame.

Videos are now up at the usual place. Didn't have the LGP this time so the quality is not going to be amazing but they are up. Will work on getting August, September, October and November Dogfight footage online in due time. Please keep in mind that you can always watch the archives on the Norcal Dogfight Twitch page here: http://www.twitch.tv/norcaldogfight/profile/pastBroadcasts

It probably had to do with doing the j.D as early as possible during the airdash which would give you time to execute the j.2K. It's the same as the old IAD j.k j.k combos where you had to input the first j.k as early as possible in order to get the second one in on time.

Pretty cool combo video released today by 蓮根 (Hasune?): http://nico.ms/sm22401967 Haven't had a chance to watch it in full but from what little I saw it looks interesting.

It was really fun, but it also took quite a while. I think we could get by with this team format if it was just best of 1 set all the way through with 2/3 GF only. Edit: Pictures from the event are now uploaded here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/u2v9en27xkpdfvd/A719iSrX5s

Thanks to everyone who came out and also to those that showed up on the stream! Here are the pictures I took from the event. Sorry if I missed anyone who wanted to be photographed. If anyone wants their photos removed please don't hesitate to let me know. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/10umagkug7txtsu/ZysdOPfqtU Videos will be going up later. There's like 20+ hours >_>

Since specifics have not yet been added to this thread, I'll post them (albeit a bit late): This Saturday will be the last day that Gamecenter of San Mateo will be opening its doors and in order to go out in a bang we will be hosting a 24 hour event. The usual Dogfight game lineup (GG, VSav, AP, CVS2) will be hosted along with P4U and Blazblue - so I would really appreciate it if everybody who is able to came out and made this an event to remember. After these events we will be having some kind of a Gundam EXVS event followed by various side-games and side-events for the rest of the night. Doors open at 3PM Saturday and close at 3PM Sunday. Tentative side tournaments include: Melty Divekick (blkmage) Mario Tennis Samurai Kirby Bustamove GG Teams (3on3 / Team Mode) GG Large Team Exhib GG Losers Tourney BEAN BOOZLED Katamari Tentative side games include: Mario Party DK64 VS N64 everything. JOYSOUND DIVE Of course please feel free to post up about/bring any games you think would be fun especially for the later hours. If you would like to run a side-tournament, please do not hesitate to post up here as well!

Bump. Dogfight is tomorrow. Get ready for +R!

I'll concede Dizzy belonging in the j.K j.2K list, but Kliff was actually really tough for me to get even now when I'm trying it and the difference in damage between j.K j.2K and j.S(1) j.2K which is 3 dmg vs. how difficult it is (at least on Kliff) does not seem like a wise trade.
