So I wasn't the only one! This was pretty vexing for me when I still couldn't match her moves to their names, although it started actually sounding like flint shooter once I learned what it was and watched more videos.

For sure, lvl 2 combos are damn rewarding and not all that hard to get to, I just feel like trying out something different since pretty much all the Japanese players I see mainly use lvl 2 combos.

The time it takes for Afterburner to get you to lvl 2 from 0 is pretty damn long; unless you're doing it after throwing them with midair snaphance fist at a decent height, you're probably going to get counter-hit while you're charging. Most players usually use it to gain 1 level after bursting or doing something to get the opponent to the other side. You don't really need meter for pressure unless you want to do fancy stuff with rapid cancels (50 meter) or crush triggers (25 meter)

Either one, although I think most people consider the levels to go 0, 1, 2, with 0 being no heat-up and 2 being the highest. If you have heat-up lvl 1 or 2, you can do a followup, but lvl 2 followups do way more damage.

How do you guys think you'll use heat-up? Spend it as you get it on lvl 1 combos, or try and go for the kill in 2-3 lvl 2 combos? I think I'm gonna start out just using it as I get it on lvl 1 combos, although that could change depending on how it feels/works out.

Do you think that using this "drive cancel" in blockstrings would work? Something like stuff > D (cancel) > throw?

I think how it works is that if you haven't locked on to anyone, you just cancel it by letting go of D, but if you do have someone targeted, you have to go for the attack or land, in the case of j.D. Maybe you can cancel it while targeting someone, but that's a question for the people who've actually played the game :P

So it's pretty much like any other DP(i.e. all sorts of punishable on block), except its animation is a throw.

So I guess Bullet's only "real" command grab is Serpentine Assault, which is kind of a shame :C Unless Snaphance Fist is unblockable too, although I haven't seen any footage to suggest it is (or isn't)

Shingo is looking like the best Bullet player atm(or at least my favorite :P); uses crush trigger, uses different mixups/blockstrings, uses D moves during neutral in a smarter way, and doesn't hold on to H2 forever (like other players I've seen). Also 2A pickups after 5D/j.D late tech look like a fun way to keep opponents on their toes. Something I noticed while watching Shingo play; Lock-On does target dolls (Ignis, Nirvana) and does make Bullet attack them instead of Relius/Carl, as seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTcmLj3xxwM&t=3m55s Not sure if there's a priority between the two, though. (maybe it's whoever gets targeted first?) Drives that hit dolls count as whiffs and make her lose a level of Heat-Up, so I guess that'll be a fun thing to be wary of when fighting Relius and Carl.

Looks like it does, guess you gotta be careful about when you burst during Bullet combos. Also Flint Shooter travels farther depending on whether you have Heat-Up or not; without it, the projectile travels a little less than half-screen, but with H2 I saw it go full-screen, and I think the same applies for H1.

Do we know how long it takes for OD/Burst to recharge? Using at the start of the match just sounds weird to me, but if the cooldown isn't too long, it could work out. Also I can't help but hear "Greed Sever" whenever Bullet uses Flint Shooter, is it just me?

Without shame and without restraint, we shall grapple and ignite our foes. I got real confused when I saw that Afterburner had guard point, but I ain't complaining :P

Maybe it's cuz I haven't really been looking for em, but what kind of weaknesses does Bullet have? She's got pretty great damage, what look to be solid mixups, a projectile, albeit one that might not be that great for zoning, but a projectile nonetheless, and good normals. I guess her mobility without Heat-Up is sub-par? Idk, what do you guys think?

It looks like that 4.6k corner combo started with 5B(if we're thinking of the same one), although she also had lvl. 2 Heat Up, which I think makes certain moves (drives/followups?) do more damage. Also, it looks like drive attacks might not be as minus on block as I thought; in the Bullet vs. Litchi video, Bullet counter-hit with a 2A after a blocked 5D, just thought that was interesting.

She does, but it looks like you can combo into it, so it's a little different from other characters' command grabs. -

Just when I thought I couldn't get more hype for Bullet... Her Heat Up system is reminding me a little bit of Order-Sol's charge gauge, where you can make the choice of using Heat Up to do more damage or to hold on to it to move faster and be able to apply better pressure. -
