  1. Yeah, SL vs. PO is a troublesome matchup. If you had any AC SL vs. PO matches you could post up on youtube.com, that'd be helpful. Thanks.
  2. 15x15 is big enough. That'd be tight if there was some way to implement Henaki's idea... I think it'd benefit the newbs and even some vets (quick visual glance at arrows and buttons = quicker recognition).
  3. Yeah, I just started playing Guilty Gear, so I'm sure my spatial judgement will improve with experience. It's just that versus the CPU (set at maximum difficulty), sometimes I forget about/midjudge a trap, the opponent gets caught in it, I'm surprised for a half second, then by the time I get over to my trapped opponent, he's already teched out. But by then, I've already commited to my movement/combo starter/etc... Meh, I guess I'll learn what to do by experience and playing real people.
  4. Any advice about traps? Like, if my opponent falls into a mid-high net, but by the time I reach him and jump up there to combo, he's already teched out of it, should I still pursue pressure or just air-dash backward and regroup?
  5. Truth. I'm new to GG, but have been picking Testament at a decent pace. However, FRC EXE Beast is still not even close to a weapon in my arsenal (pun intended), because I still need work on BASIC stuff; setting traps, spacing, pokes, basic/universal combos (like, super easy ones), anti-airs, air-to-airs, etc... It's like if you've never played 3rd Strike before, and you started to learn Urien's charge partitioning before his pokes and ranges. Great, you can dash EX headbutt once in a while, but you're using his horrible c.MP as a poke instead of his godly c.MK? EDIT: BTW, are EX colors tourney legal? If so, how do I access them when selecting my character? Testament's EX (P) and EX (K) colors are sooooooo much better than his "normal" options...
  6. Kayin, that'll be helpful (using arrows instead of numerical notation) for those of us (newbs) who do not want to use numerical notation. Arrows > Numbers when making the transition from Capcom fighters to GG.
  7. How relevant is Dead Angle? I know it's difficult to use effectively if your opponent has you in a block string (using quick attacks), and it costs a ton of tension... but in almost every other fighting game that has had a similar defensive attack, it's been pretty useful (CvS2) to almost mandatory (Alpha 2). Advice for a GG newb?
  8. Digital Watches - Good post. Interesting to hear how, in theory, it could alter the game; similar to 3S (my main game) and how parries effect people's strings and pokes.
  9. How relevant is Slash Back? I understand how to do it, and what it does, but if you mistime it, you're defenseless for 30 frames? That's a big risk. I don't see it too often in match vids. Is it because of the risk or simply because there are better options (like blocking, instant blocking)?
