  1. I have a question. When OMCing from a 236C how do you get the dash in time to 2B? His dash is so slow by the time I get the dash they fall out of the combo. I know you don't do it fully and only for a tiny bit of movement forward but doing the dash then waiting for the long 2B to come out and also go into another 236C is pretty tough for me for some reason.
  2. After seeing Fab's Kanji in that first to 10 I've decided to learn how to play Kanji. I haven't been feeling learning anything new about Teddie or Yu so I'm soul searching. Kanji was my original choice prior to the game being released but once I got my hands on him and felt how sluggish his movement was I went to Teddie instead. I figured Kanji was just knockdown into dp/command throw, pressure into tick grab or hit confirm into aa combo. But that first to 10 made him look a lot deeper than just that.
  3. If you catch someone bursting in the corner and they only hit your persona and you can catch them with a 5b as they're falling what are some ideal combos? I've just been winging it and doing 5b 5c 2c into b bufu then whatever I have meter for. I'm curious if there's some really good damage I could be getting off these situations because they're pretty common. If anyone knows of a meterless, 25 meter, 50 meter, etc versions of what to do in this situation I'd really appreciate it.

  5. Yeah, I figured it wasn't a true block string since I was getting DPed out of it a lot, mostly by Yu players. - I guess I'll ask another question. I feel like I asked this elsewhere but whatever. When you are ending a combo with SB Agi is it best to go into J.C or would 2C into SB Zio be better or is there something else that you can do to provide for a good situation when you end with SB Agi? I know the SB Zio is matchup and situation based but I figured I'd ask.
  6. Whenever I end a combo with j.C I do this along with D or 5C pressure. It seems pretty solid and catches people who roll, mash and hold up I think so it's pretty solid. Once they respect it command grabs are a beautiful thing. Still having trouble comboing off a full screen command grab, they seem to fly over my head even from full screen so I do the jump back j.a 5a 5C combo since I don't know how else to get good damage off of it. My only problem with 2C as a wakeup meaty is that it sometimes sends the opponent flying across the screen to the other side, which can be a problem if you're close to them. Otherwise you could probably followup with something. I think this happens when they roll, I'd have to test it.

  8. After a blocked SB. Agi what is a guaranteed string, I've been doing 2aa 5b into C 2C/D most the time. But I'm noticing people can DP out of it sometimes. Is there a guaranteed block string or are they all unsafe to DPs and need to be adjusted according to match ups?
  9. I'll try that. @UmaiCakes I never do persona grabs from up close so I can't do the 5b sweep combo most of the time, occasionally I throw it out raw but I typically go for 2c c mixups into omc c's and an occasional d.
  10. Is there a video somewhere of the D thanatos grab non ch combo? IABD into j.A stand A seems very strict, curious what it looks like so I can get an idea how to time the combo. Right now there's not much to gain from going for persona grabs since I can only combo if it's a counter hit.
  11. I see there are 2 B.Bufu's in combos. How does this work? They're separate specials right, not the 2 hits of B. Bufu? When I try to do it again right after it hits my persona returns to me instead of staying wherever I'm doing the combo. EDIT: Nvm, found the answer on the first page. "Q: How do I combo B.Bufu into B.Bufu? Thanatos appears right next to Elizabeth! A: This contrasts with the above answer. If this is happening it is because you are inputting the attack too slow, and you need to do it immediately after the ice catches the opponent."
  12. Seems like the OMC into raging lion is based off when you OMC the slide. Cancel it to late and it won't work, cancel it too early and the opponent won't be airborne. Pretty tight timing, although with some practice I suppose it could be practical.
  13. I'm not supposed to use 5DD as I'm jumping in with B? I always figured that was the best option for if you got a hit and wanted to continue into sweep oki again. I guess I could learn how to incorporate it into the pressure it just seemed like the easier route to do it early so I could focus on the A and B parts of my pressure. - How do you do the Raging Lion (B) part of this combo? It seems so slow, I can do the swift strike into OMC in my sleep but getting the Raging Lion to connect seems impossible. 5B > 5C > 214D Swift Strike > OMC [A+B+C] > 214B (Raging Lion) > 5C > 2C > 214B (Raging Lion) > j.2A [50 Heat Req.]: 3444/14
  14. I have 3 questions. When getting the sweep into D oki midscreen how do you time your jump b so that the D followup doesn't push them far away? It's my biggest problem midscreen, I've just been IAD late to make up for the pushback. I can get it to work with just a normal jump b but sometimes the persona pushes the guy back to far. Second question, How do you set up the empty jump oki off sweep into D? Do you just empty jump followup D and then do a 2A at some point? Do you do the followup D as fast as possible so it makes it harder to see that you're jumping in without doing anything? Third question, When you get a throw in the corner or a throw midscreen that's not counterhit what is your best followup? I was just making up my own in the corner doing 2A, 5B, j.BB, j.B j.C, 214A after the throw in the corner and OMC the throw midscreen and doing it if I could finish the round with that small amounts of extra damage. I see CH throw combos in the combo thread but how bout non CH throw combos? Corner and midscreen, would be some nice additions. Appreciate any help I can get.
