Was there melty at TexasShowdown?
-
Saw this and thought of you cookie... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21aonUHi16k Almost thought you have gone into the video making bijinesu.

Denthorn needs a name change to reflect his new status. I dub thee: Denporn staring Kokonoe. Get fucked in the huge, never ending, black hole, and other assorted places on the screen. Eat some balls, and occasionally, suppa balls. What a tier whore... P.S. Don't get a chip out on your barrier shoulder, Pat.

Oh yeah. I forgot which forum was more melted. Thx.

If there is not a room at the venue, would it be possible for a local to host me? I mostly just want to play melty with ppl.

[9/14-15] The Fall Classic (Raliegh, NC) I'm looking for a room at the venue, or a otherwise a place to stay for this. I have a melty set-up, and will be going to play melty(def...), and maybe other random stuff. I hope to meet some of you guys there, as it looks like This month is going to be fully booked for me at the j.o.b. -NC Texas Tim-

Are you the same person that asked me this on my youtube netplay tutorial?
-
I really can't believe that people picked up E's Laf and I'm not there to play it...
-
Do you want the mustache on or off?
-
Are you calling sloppy seconds?

I made it safe and sound to Jacksonville, NC. I'll miss you guys. I'll try to stop by any meet-ups that happen while I'm in town in the future. It's too bad I could not be there when you where there either FoxStep. P.S. Don't let Texas Melty die fools. Game's too good.

Later big sis. You didn't have to move to the opposite side of the country just because I sat too close for your comfort, you know.

Thx for the info. I guess that I can assume that if there is a local FG scene near me, it's mostly SF4/MvC3 then. Does no one play P4A? What about things like majors in the state? Texas has things like Texas Bar Fights that happen several times a year. Anything like these in NC? Where do they happen at?

And here's another Serena Type-A vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=We_WFWXkK_4 Shows some cool fast fall combos, Pressure, Counter Hit, and Fatal Counter stuff. I may be mistaken, but this char's pressure looks broken. Air tight mix-up after mix-up if ever a 2C is blocked... -TexasTim-

I'll just post these here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77un4niWJyg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDgeRsLskhE Found this game a few days ago. Looks pretty fun. This is Serena Type-A stuff I found while in training mode. Fast fall looks really good. -TexasTim-

Hello there. I'm about to move to North Carolina for a job from Texas. I have no idea what the scene is like there. I read some of the last few pages, and the 1st page, but didn't get much info. I'll be moving to the Camp Lejeune/Jacksonville area, on the coast, which looks to be about 3 hours or so south and east of Raleigh. Are there any local meet-ups in that area? What about other areas of the state? Majors or smaller tourneys in the state? I mostly play Melty Blood, but I'm gonna pick up BBCP when it drops. I'll prolly pick up a new game just to play people though, cuz I know that not many people play Melty. Thanks for the help. -Tim-

I'm going to be out of town this weekend attending another funeral. So someone please bring Melty to the next meet-up so pfhor is forced to play more Melty cuz it's there.
-
I'm thinking about bringing Melty Saturday.
-
Silly, crazy, insane, crazy pfhisty... I was half a joking. I though we were friends man... won't even watch your buddy's back... Edit: Why assume that we don't wana go play fgs? I don't check it regularly for the same reason I don't live on IRC, check e-mail, or use twitter.

Lol. 'People' includes me, I don't use forums anymore. My social media is my old ass phone. Cookie or Pfhor do usually tell us, but we have to explicitly ask about dust loop meet-ups, otherwise we get no info. Or maybe it's just me. I get no info. Or maybe my memory is terrible... We usually carpool when we do come. It's not about a ride. I have something I need to do that's family related on Saturday, and Pat is also busy doing something.

Hey guys. I know that some of you guys are at least interested in Melty when Pat or I bring it to meet-ups. Unfortunately, both Pat and I can't make it Saturday (if there is a meet up this Saturday. I never know. I don't have social media... People don't use forums anymore...) But, if anyone is willing and able to travel up to Denton this Sunday, we are hosting at our apartment. Primarily for Melty, but we will likely play p4a too. We almost always do... Anyways, if anyone wants to come and need more info, post here or pm me, or text me here: 817-800-7155. Again, we will be hosting in Denton, at our apt., at about 3pm until people decide to leave. Thanks, -TexasTim- Edit: Also, I think ima try out BB again when I can get my dirty dirty hands on CP.

Sorry if this has already been posted, 24 pages is a lot to read through. Just something interesting. With the opponent in the corner, Chie's j.236A/B/AB, if done above them, can pull them out of the corner. On whiff, you will see the opponent turn around, then turn back. If the 1st or last hit is blocked or hits, they are facing the wrong way and you can land in the corner. However, as far as I can tell, this is useless in a match. I'm only posting it to see if anyone else can come up with some use for this. I found ways to cross up with One More Cancel, but if the opponent is human, and continues holding back to block, they will just walk back into the corner. I did find some full block strings that would end with the opponent pulled slightly out of the corner, or completely pop them out of the corner; namely j.C > j.236A(1 meaning last hit only) with slight spacing differences on j.C. But I think that you would have to One More Cancel when you hit the ground and do anything with it; like j(7).AC > 66 j.B. But this just seems too slow to be useful to me... Edit: The only thing I can find as being remotely useful is: Corner Knockdown > 2D > j(9).C > j.236A(1) > j.ABC > 5B. 2D Oki is DP bait, it will whiff. j.C them high in the jump and the last hit of j.236A will be blocked. On block of the last hit, one of 2 things should happen: either they get pulled slightly out of the corner, and you land on the correct side, or they get popped out of the corner and you land in the corner. One More Cancel the j.236A immediately, land, and 5B. It seems like the opponent cannot be in block stun during part of the j.236A, or they will not turn and face the wrong direction. So it just seems real bad to use when DP can just rape it. Edit 2: Typos...

Just in case people don't know, a couple of times during this video Chie does 2DD oki into j(9).B into the 2nd 236A/B rekka for a double overhead into low for 25 meter. You can see this at the end of the video (black and white portion) on the 3rd mix-up. Since I don't see the input for doing this anywhere, I'll just list it here. j(9).B > j.236AB > A/B This works by doing a deep j.B and doing the input for j.236AB. If you are low enough, you will burn the meter, see the blue flashing on Chie, and landing recovery will eat the attack. But the 236 motion is still buffered and the game thinks you did 236AB. So hitting A or B again when you land will produce the 2nd part the the rekka. It took me a while to figure this out, as I thought this was a move that was just not listed on her moveset. I think the A version comes out faster, but does less damage, but I'm not sure on that. Regardless, it's very hard to block. This will also work with: j(7) > 66 > j.BB > j.236AB > A/B Edit: So looking again it was listed, I just had no idea what he was saying. I read it and thought, 236AB whiffs means some of the kicks don't hit, not that the input does not come out at all. So I had no idea that this quote was the same thing I was trying to find out about.
