It's fine. I've actually got local Tager and Arakune players (who really enjoyed watching), so the experience helped overall. Getting chain King of Tager'd hurt a bit inside, but that's the extent of it.

This just in: 50/50 mixups and cross-ups are harmful to competitive play! How is this any different from other characters with teleport cross-ups, or something like SF2 claws?

I'll admit I never thought about it being plainclothes. I just thought every department had its own dress code. Intel not having to wear uniforms outside of events like parades makes sense though. What I was really getting at was the "wearing different clothes" aspect. And my own opinion that given how convoluted the story already is, and how nuts powerful Terumi is, that having TWO of him running around would be extremely silly. Just having him be Terumi in the Six Heroes storyline and as a "power-up" in the present makes a lot more sense to me.

The NOL clothing under the hoodie implies to me that Terumi is at least going to show up in the present when he gets pushed too far to keep up the Hazama personality at all. However, given his importance in the Darkwar, and that they've already shown they're too lazy to make art for young Jubei/Mitsuyoshi, I wouldn't doubt that Terumi's past and likely present appearances will have the same art (using Terumi's hoodie coat over the intelligence department uniform).

This. Liz and Kanji shenanigans in P4 are so fun to pull on people holding to tech. It's the kind of thing I wouldn't even try with my friends in GG right now, since they rarely tech immediately, even when it would be optimal (like when I fool up and drop a combo) given our low level. I also find that games with hold to tech teach me to sharpen my execution better than games without it, since I can't count on my opponent failing to tech.

I used to think that too, but if you look at the far upper left of the aura, the image sort of resembles a pair of jaws. Then again Jin generates a giant ice wolf head, so even if it is supposed to look like something, it may not mean anything about the source of the power. If you're having trouble with seeing it, look at the area above and a little left of Kagura's head. The aura cuts out and then comes back in that region, with jagged edges jutting into the empty area. This makes it look like some sort of head with sharp teeth.

Because block breaking mechanics worked so well for Blazblue... I think the guard gauge is far better than any guard break mechanic. Offense is rewarded, but if the defender blocks right they never actually get hit. There's no punishment for proper blocking with the guard gauge. Block breaking mechanics like BB's guard primers/libra punish proper blocking MORE, because they force the defender into a situation where proper blocking will eventually lead to them getting hit. Of course, GG already has plenty of situations where blocking puts you in a bad situation, but, outside of defending against a few characters, excellent defending skills will buy you time to find another way to escape pressure/opposing momentum.

Anyone know where I can get one of the original PS3's, the ones that can play PS2 games? If I can play PS2 games, it might make the price worth it.

Probably won't, considering the reason they did it with P4A was the NA release being 2 weeks after the JP one. There's much less fear of reverse importation when the NA release is going to be 3+ months away.

[No X-Box Release] Welp, looks like microsoft missed their last chance to get some money out of me before I dump them. Sucks though, it's so late in the PS3's lifespan, and I heard that PS4 isn't backwards compatible? I also don't like the PS controller for fighters. Maybe it's time to get a stick...

Really enjoyed this one. Shadow Labrys really got a bad draw on Shin Megami Tensei characters; she got like, the party from what might be the brightest game in the series.

This, for all we know the events of this game could be a turning point in the story. The villains have had the upper hand up to now.

IIRC Bridget actually identifies as male. He took the whole bounty hunter job to prove he was a man (which is kinda funny seeing as there's probably plenty of female hunters in the world ex. Jam). He just likes his women's clothing is all.

Well given that the area he's experimenting with kind of twists time around, then so long as there is a possibility in any timeline that a Black Beast exists, then there's a possibility that one pops out of the cauldron he was working with. So it might not even matter in the end. Chicken and egg type stuff. Though it seems quite possible to simply create a Beast. Didn't Relius get Kononoe to make one in the EX Sector 7 extra chapter? (And all the Nox's were supposed to be made in a similar manner.)

^ Experiments into the Boundary probably. Doesn't Terumi state at one point in the CS stories that the Beast was "mankind's punishment?" He at least seems to imply at several points that people were trying all sorts of ways to get at the Boundry/the Azure/Amaterasu considering that as far as I remember the discovery of those things predates the Dark War.
