  1. It wasn't Nygamer, but some other streaming lobby during the first week after the Japanese launch. But alright, then I do genuinely apologize for calling you out when that's apparently not what was going on, but I will emphasize, to my point, that this is certainly not the first time it's happened to me with you, which is why I bothered complaining in the first place. If we face each other again, I'll look forward to a longer set.
  2. I genuinely apologize if I'm wrong, but then why has that occurred in two separate other sets I've had with you, where I won several times and once you won, you just left? Actually, I think I even recall it happening on a separate occasion outside of lobbies, in one of those player streaming rooms (like Nygamer). From how many matches I've played, it's obvious people have done this to me before, but there's a reason I'm typing this now because your name particularly stands out.
  3. I try not to for that very reason, which is why I avoid calling someone out, but this is the third time he's done that to me, specifically. Plus, I had a high win streak in the lobby which he had just stopped when he won, which I feel was his actual objective when playing me instead of having some good matches. There's no excuse.
  4. I don't often say this—or have the willingness to—but BGs to the player by the name of "MikhailLuca." I think I played 3 matches against him; I won the first two and he won the last one. After winning the last match, he just vanished from the lobby before I returned to it, I presume pleased with that single victory and fleeing without a word. And while I'm at it, BGs a few days ago to a player going by "USAdikov", who actually rage quit on me right as I won the match in Ranked because he was too scared to lose his SSS+ rank. Pathetic habits, both of these.
  5. Getting harder to find matches on Ranked, never mind finding matches that count towards promotions/demotions. Barely anyone in the Master rank range when I search, and the only people I find who are Master ranks have been either OmniSScythe or Japanese players. Guess I might have to stick to lobbies soon enough.
  6. Oh, can't one get promoted to Grand Master from Master by facing SSS players and above? At least, I know that Master vs. SSS+ initiates a Ranked Battle, but I guess a promotion from it could just be for the SSS+ player.
  7. Haha, why do I have to be Master ranked? GGs, but screw Minazuki, though. Literally the character I hate going against the most next to Yosuke. I facepalmed so much because of how I just felt gypped during so many rounds. Defense is ridiculously important against that character since the smallest of confirms snowballs into absolute chaos.
  8. GGs, those were some intense back and forth matches we had there.
  9. That's nifty. Thanks.
  10. Are one's online records between the JPN and NA versions of the game distinct or are they the same?
  11. Only when he's flashing/glowing, so the projectile invul. frames aren't nearly enough to make something like that viable.
  12. I'm seeing the new DLC up such as Margaret's lobby avatar and the new BGM, but can't see Margaret herself yet on the main page. Edit: Ah, I see. I had to access the main store page.
  13. Seems like they removed a character's W/L display in Lobby mode with the latest patch. That's pretty funny.
  14. Oh yeah, this is something else that is a big issue for me; thanks for pointing it out. I actually get really confused when it comes to this and I end up becoming very predictable. Gunshots as usual enders sounds good, and mixing up SB gunshots as well for the frame advantage sounds good, too. I've been using that typical 5C > 2AB > 236BB > Heat Riser > 2C combo all the time, but I guess I should commit to forsaking that for the apparently more effective 2C > short hop > 5C > 5B > 2B > 2C variation. Yeah, the fear that leads to me jumping a lot makes me also j.2D a bunch. 2D, in general, is kind of a scary move for me because I'm never quite sure when to throw it out. I'm getting a bit more adjusted to trying to punish an opponent attempting to break the Persona with a gunshot, but I really need to learn when to use that move instead of throwing it out randomly and getting punished for it.
  15. Thanks for the feedback; it helps a lot. Ha, well I just learned that Heat Rise gives Adachi a 10% defense boost in addition to the attack boost; that makes it more vital than I thought it was. Also, it's none of those reasons, probably. If I should think back to why I didn't do that combo, I guess it'd be something like conserving meter? Again, I tend to go wild when I play with little rationale behind my decisions, so I can't really say I avoided doing it for anything specific. It's something I'll have to change, I guess. B Mandala is invulnerable, huh. Good to know; I really got to look more into Adachi's properties. I think something was said about Adachi's D command grab being throw invul. as well, which I guess could have helped me in this MU? Using Ziodyne more sounds good, though I'm getting wary of doing it much because it gives the opponent a ton of free meter, and I suck at trying to attempt to get a hit in with Adachi while the Ziodyne's going on. Also, for those 2Cs, it probably was something like trying to cancel it into Mandala; I really don't have the timing down on that one. When it comes to execution, I don't think nerves had much to do with any of it. It's possible to punish the Persona of an opponent Adachi's 2D/j.2D with 2C? Sounds risky, but I'll try it out. But yeah, thanks for the advice. Jumping a lot is definitely an impulse that I need to control; it's really hard not to do that as I don't feel safe just straight up blocking the opponent on the ground and having to deal with high-low mix-ups. Definitely gotta work on that.
  16. UBW Tourney (Adachi vs. Kanji) UBW Tourney (Adachi vs. Minazuki) UBW Tourney GFs (Adachi vs. Adachi) Hey, I'd appreciate it if anyone would take a look at any of those videos where I'm playing and give me some advice. Some aspects about how I fight that I've been thinking about: - It's been said that I don't really have a plan on defense, which is true since I've never actually had any kind of plan in a fight. All I'm ever thinking is "Hit the opponent under any circumstances and asap", which I guess lends to my peculiar playstyle that seems to frustrate other people. Not really sure of how to go about having a "plan" going into a match, either. - I tend to jump a lot when I'm afraid of the opponent instead of staying grounded. I'm doing a better job at just blocking mix-ups than I did in the past, but all that goes out the window when I feel that I'm going to be outplayed, so I impulsively jump and DP way more than in regular matches.
  17. Any tips on instant blocking? I can do it consistently when it comes to the easy moments like Yu's Ziodyne or Akihiko's Maziodyne, but I'm not sure what to do when it comes to an opponent's normal blockstrings. I'm afraid of backdashing when I don't mean to or focusing too much on instant blocking that I get hit by high-low mix-ups. It looks nuts when I see JP footage of players constantly doing it.
  18. Just decided to actually train with Shadow Labrys again and I'm surprised to find out one of her presumably most basic BnBs is this complicated? Geez, what happened to her... At least now we know she'll be even more rewarding to stick with. Well, I got the hang of it faster than I thought, but things will get dicey once one has to always be aware of Asterius' position for it. Seems like that will be way more important in this game than in P4A, which is why I have to actually think of incorporating D in combos.
  19. That weather order can't be right. It isn't the first time this has happened, but after finishing the first round with rain just now, the subsequent round was sunny. Another match and it went from rainy > snow... Actually, rain > snow has happened every other time after I typed this. Dammit, I can't be crazy; I could have sworn it went from rainy > sunny, and it hadn't been the first time. Nope, definitely went from cloudy > snowy just now. There might be some element of randomness going on here or something else.
  20. I've gotten two weird disconnects so far, myself.
  21. If it works like BlazBlue, I think the warmer the color is, the more "dangerous" the player is supposed to be.
  22. I feel that this MU is going to be particularly crazy. It seems Adachi is the most powerful when his opponent lacks mobility and/or when their movement can become predictable, but Yosuke is none of that. Adachi's 2C, 5D and 2D are rendered very ineffective here because of how fast Yosuke is and because of his j.2A/B which shuts that down quick. 2D/j.2D can be pretty good for punishing a Yosuke for activating a Sukukaja away from Adachi, or just generally make them afraid of activating it like that. The only semi-reliable reversal in this MU is the Guard Cancel Attack. The command grab super can be good, as always, if the opponent is right up in Adachi's face, but Yosuke's tend to be in the air for their mix-ups so it can be a dangerous option to go for. The DP is very unreliable here and practically requires a hard read for Yosuke's approach to land. Most of the match will be spent blocking Yosuke's stuff, and trying to roll out or air dash out of the pressure when you see an opening. Baiting Yosuke's DPs is pretty important to get some good damage done without having to go back on the defense all the time. I feel that attaining the Magatsu Mandala buff in this MU is more important than most others I've come across thus far.
