  1. I suspect DLC gold and monochrome to make an appearance.
  2. I wish taito station would allow for direct capture of video content...but they're incredibly anal and very Japanese about it so no...never. They're afraid of people selling the footage when all I would do is upload it to youtube. Anyway, tomorrow's the day and outside of hitting the gym tomorrow and Wednesday, I don't have work after today until next Monday...heh...heh...heh. Not sure how many videos I get since most of the time I'll be losing money to the machine, playing.
  3. Currently moving the videos to Vimeo since I keep getting asked about them. https://vimeo.com/channels/427023
  4. I guess I could try Vimeo.
  5. Arc System Works didn't like 3 of my loketest videos from the 11th, so I just decided to make the rest private until next Wednesday.
  6. Freedom Justice is the greatest attack name ever...give this woman a Guile color STAT!
  7. That would be awesome because next Friday is a holiday and chances are I won't have to go work on Wednesday and Thursday meaning I can be at Taito bright n' early and ALL DAY.
  8. I can say that Bullet's 5B will be crucial to her game play as a poke. It's pretty awesome and reaches quite far.
  9. There were no Hakumens or Taokakas on my end either. I do have Hazama Updated my original post with todays (final day) footage http://kyushufgc.wordpress.com/2012/11/12/2nd-blazblue-chrono-phantasma-location-test-fukuoka-taito-station/
  10. I didn't realize there was an actual location test this past week because I haven't been to the arcade in over a month but I got a few videos and I hope to get a few more tomorrow (can't go today). The Bullet player is Shingo, 3rd place finisher Akihiko player at SBO http://kyushufgc.wordpress.com/2012/11/12/2nd-blazblue-chrono-phantasma-location-test-fukuoka-taito-station/?preview=true&preview_id=36&preview_nonce=3545f0353d
  11. So the patch is only going to fix Chain Shift and as a result it will affect GRD as well. How? I don't know. This just according to their twitter.
  12. LOVE WHEN TOP PLAYERS DO THAT Well I can understand the mindset. I personally wouldn't give a shit because I'm of the train of thought that if I'm good enough it doesn't matter if you know my combo...you can't stop me anyway. At first he was like, "Well I don't really want people bothering me to teach them how." and my American brain obviously saw holes in that stance so I was like, "Well I don't put the names of who is playing (except for myself). And it's mainly just foreign people who don't have the game who are seeing it." And then he explained about his combo protection. The guys who typically play anime games in Japan are younger (early 20s compared to Street Fighter players who are typically late 20s and older) and a bit socially (and by a bit I mean very) awkward so they essentially live for the game scene and most likely don't have much else going on so these combos are their babies. I plan on doing a multi-part write up on the Japanese FGC which will go into this a bit because I haven't seen a single source that really explains why the Japanese scene is the way it is.
  13. Apparently Carmine is shit tier. And I was talking to a view players yesterday and they were like "The game is interesting but it's kuso ge because certain characters are just way too strong, etc, etc" Also the footage that I take is going to slow down out because I was chatting with them and telling them about how many people abroad would like to see footage of the game because they don't have it but if they don't want me to upload their footage (to protect their combos) then I won't. The dominating Seth player asked me not to so I won't upload anymore with him (sad because he's strong) but I figured I might as well ask everyone now. One of the Orie players doesn't mind though.
  14. As far as Orie and Hyde go I was just quoting what @hc0519 said. I don't know the specific examples. I haven't gone up against either one yet (non A.I.). Waldstien was mentioned also and THAT I do have experience with. His biggest advantage is how easy it is for him to mash throw out of everything and the fact that he does A LOT of damage. He threw me (Gordeau) and that was 1/3 of my life gone. But I do agree that the biggest problem is Chain Shift. It's sooooooooooooooooooo broken. It's an FADC with no consequence...oh you lose GRD, who the hell cares? You gain super meter for it AND it cancels your attacks AND you can do it in the air and any time you want provided you're in GRD Vorpal. I would say make it so that you lose GRD and gain no meter, and maybe even take out the ability to do it in the air.
  15. As of right now the only reversal that I use is Grim Reaper. I haven't seen anything to indicate any meterless invincible moves. I have been hit out of the start up of Grim Reaper as well, if there are invincibility frames they don't start until later. It has long reach so I try to only use it if I'm not close close to the opponent because it's so punishable on block and of course, if they're in the air then let 'er rip. So apparently according to @hc0519's twitter there is going to be a patch at some point. Mainly because certain characters are too strong like Hyde, Orie and Waldstein. I can't speak for Hyde and Orie but Waldstein...man last night was not fun. Dude grabs you out of EVERYTHING, does massive damage and has retarded reach, personally even more than Yuzu all you gotta do is mash one of his various throws. And of course while I do enjoy chain shift, it's broken as fuck in its current state. I mean not only does it give you your meter back but you can build up the GRD enough to do it again and you can do it in the air. I mean you guys saw that Linne combo. Oh and course the combos are just insanely long in the game.
  16. Updated the Gordeau move list translation. Everything except the tips but I'm hungry...so dinner.
  17. Here is the translated list of Gordeau's normals and command normals: (I translated this quickly as I am at work right now. I'm not used to fighting game jargon in Japanese so keep that in mind) A Attacks 5A 5A: Low Kick. 2A: Crouching Punch. JA: A somewhat down directional punch (odd English I know I’ll try to refine it latter) B Attacks: 5B 5B: A short reach uppercut. 6B: A forward advancing attack. Hits Overhead. 2B: Sweep. Hits low. Can be used as an anti-air and in combos 3C 3C: Long reaching sliding kick and it’s not cancelable on block. Unsafe. Charge JC: Stronger version. Causes a floor bounce on hit allowing for follow attacks. 66C (Dash C): Tackle. Causes a wall bounce on hit allowing for follow up attacks.#12290; 2B: Long horizontal kick. Extends his scythe sideways and hooks the opponent. When not using the additional attack the opponent will fall backwards, during the EX version he moves around wildly like a rock star (WHAT?!). While in the air he kicks tightly (?). During the mid-air version he spins the scythe halfway. 236+AorB Shade Harvest: During Mortal Slide (On the ground) 236+A or B When Mortal Slide hits, Gordeau will pull the opponent in using Shade Harvest. Unsafe on block. 236+AorB Itadakida (Assimilation): During Shade Harvest 236+A or B Gordeau grabs the opponent after pulling them. Causes a hard knockdown, the grab steals some of the opponents GRD グリムリーパー 623+AorBorEX Grim Reaper: 623+A/B/EX 頭の高さで鎌を大きく振り回す。 Gordeau swings his scythe around his entire body covering nearly the entire screen. Cannot be blocked in the air and if the A or B version hits it will cause a wall bounce for follow up attacks. (NOTE: EXTREMELY UNSAFE ON BLOCK…trust me I know) Itadakida (Assimilation): 214+ A/B/EX Command Grab If successful he will take one point of GRD from the opponent. Can be combed into and can also catch floating opponents. (Not sure if that means characters that are in an untechable state of just all characters in mid-air). A ground attack using the scythe, the B and EX versions follow up with an aerial helicopter move that comes crashing down to the ground. (the last part of the attack may be an overhead) Gordeau chaotically swings his scythe. This ain’t rock. (WTF?) A+B+C Soul Vanish A+B+C After doing an enhanced version of itadakida (Assimilation) Gordeau beats the shit out of the opponent and then finishes the opponent in one pale flash!
  18. If I have time at work today I'll also see if I can get around to translating some of the wiki info...but I'm gonna focus on Gordeau first since that's who I play.
  19. Well French Bread has no money which may be why each arcade only got one setup. Also Guilty Gear got one setup as well. I took more footage tonight. One featuring Hilda (Boss battle) and the other matches actually show what I'd consider BnBs for Seth, Gordeau, Orie and Yuzu EDIT: http://tinyurl.com/cdf4rxu Hilda...the bitch teleports it looks like. EDIT2: Orie vs Seth http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xj1ooVTGHGc&feature=youtu.be Seth's mixup options are pretty insane. Gordeau vs Seth I http://youtu.be/MtiFVVZMVeo Gordeau vs Seth II http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiYyzNVjuEc&feature=youtu.be
  20. Seems like all the arcades only got one setup. I wonder if that's temporary?
  21. I only had a chance to play a few matches and because of the queue (they only have one head to head setup) I couldn't stay on long. But from what I can tell so far you can tech command throws in general, and I think in and out of guard stun. His command throw steals Grind and it looks like you can combo into it. Because when I used Mortal Slide (236A/B/C) and I did the pull in move I could grab them right from that. It comes out pretty quickly after a series of attacks so the blocking opponent is going to always need to be aware of it and will have to expect to tech. But since this game has a MB style I'd imagine staggering your attacks into the command throw will be pretty big for him. His scythe attacks at close range feel very unsafe. They have decent startup so I'm getting the feeling that he is best at mid-range because his movement kinda sucks. This is all preliminary stuff though. Once I get the chance to play the game more (preferable against the AI so I can just try things) I'll have a better idea.
  22. Day 1 gifts... http://tinyurl.com/9gd2nhl TURN DOWN THE SOUND! FOR THE LOVE OF YOUR EARS! Anyway, Gordeau plays like I expected, crap movement, long ass reach with the scythe and an AWESOME command grab. Also so far his A normal is kinda suck ass but I haven't really had a lot of time to test it out.
  23. While I've dabbled in the game I'm by no means a Blazblue player but since I love fighting games and this new BB is looking pretty cool and I decided to go to the location test at Fukuoka Taito Station on the 25th. I immediately chose Bullet because she's the character I'm the most interested in. I'll probably start playing CP once it hits the arcades here. I wanted to get more footage but we weren't allowed to film or take pictures and the only reason I got this footage was because my friend was careful when he recorded me. There was a massive line so getting on again quickly wasn't pheasible. I went back the next day but since I was by myself I didn't get any good footage So here's me testing out Bullet (EXTREMELY POORLY)... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmjm3TWJ8nQ&feature=youtu.be
