I had a lot of fun at Akicon. Too bad I couldn't have enjoyed it as much as I could have. One big problem for me was that, Hellsap can be such a jerk. My respect for him is a lot lower now. It was fun in cali. Even though I haven't been playing much mbaa, I was excited to meet a lot of melty players in person. I was really surprised because I didn't realize Ehrik was still around the mb scene, and it was really cool to finally meet Psylocke and Bellreisa in person. GG to the people I played in guilty gear, I was the super rusty Zappa player from PNW xD. Before this cali trip, I have never played against Johnny, it was pretty crazy how many Johnny players there are in california. I didn't get a chance to get the name of every player I played against though.

hakumen 5A will stop noel mid drives, as long as you predict that she won't do spring raid

No need for stars after RC, in most cases countering burst will lead to match winner, if the person doesn't die from the counter it's pretty much an early burst and in hakumen's favor anyways. Noel's 214a is useless against good hakumen.

I'm the hakumen that he fights against, and the problem isn't as much that the burst is predictable. If I have the meter I just RC counter on reaction to the burst. There are certain areas in hakumen's combos that he's more vulnerable to bursts, but you can't be too picky when you're about to die. Bursting early does work especially since hakumen is less likely to even have meter to do anything about it, but in many cases early burst is a win situation for hakumen because he can potentially win in the next combo.

senix, that's not what I'm talking about. It's when dizzy sends out laser fish and uses her fire tension, and the fish moves at full speed during the super flash where you can't move. the problem is if dizzy zones zappa with raoh in, she puts you into a really long pressure string and drains away raoh time. Of course, if you try to uppercut your way out of gaps you end up killing the fish instead.

O.O so you're saying to let dizzy zone zappa in when the fish is out? XD and I'm talking about raoh here, 4 frame uppercut with extremely large hitbox : V
