Chicken blocking with barrier or super jumping also seem to be decent ways of taking advantage of gaps in some pressure strings. The goal for Amane seems to be to escape pressure, not poke out of it.

Do you mean if he throws it out as a poke or when he does it in his pressure? Where is he teching out for you? If you j5C too early, he'll tech before the j2C. After the j2C, you need to use j236B, not j236A, because the 3rd hit of the first j5B will whiff after j236A.

Something neat I just discovered: If Tager goes for gadget finger oki and follows up with a command grab, 6A, 2B, or 5B, Amane's 6B will win. In the case of Tager's command grabs and 6A, the 6B will fatal counter, and the magnetism will pull Amane in close enough for a followup combo that wouldn't be possibly otherwise. (after what was just described) > 5B > 5C > 6C > 214B > j5B > 5B > 5C > 6C > 236A > j5C > j6C > j2C > j214B > j5B > j236C [DMG: 4405/HG: 31] Of course, Tager can still beat it with his other normals and atomic collider, but it should still be recognized as an option Amane has for that situation.

A couple of people down here are actually practicing GG for MBB. I played a good 3 hour set with one of them last night. Sadly enough, the same person managed to get me hype for Xrd. I might end up playing it now :L

From my experience, there are much better confirms off of 5A, such as the triple megido combo, double mode change combo, or something more simple like 5AA 22B jC(1) j236CD 214A jB jB jC j236D. These do more damage, use less meter, and put you in a prime spot for oki. Challenge 27 is still ridiculously strict, so I would write it off as impractical. As far as I know, Aigis doesn't get much from the AoA C ender if she is not in Orgia mode anyway.

I wouldn't mind learning more about this game. With my new stick, combos aren't impossible anymore, so learning how to actually play comes next. Is there actually an MTNG skype group now? If so, mind if I get in on this?

Well as it turns out, I won't be making it to MWC. The dates for the tourney coincide with the International Trombone Festival, which I've been signed up to be part of since around March. If any of it is recorded, I'd like to watch later. (especially Milln vs. the world in Suguri)

AH3 netplay, from what I remember of it, wasn't too bad. Very playable, at least. The game was pretty dead when I was getting into it, so I'm sure it's pretty dead now. It is fun, though.

I got pretty damn good at Soku before I moved on to other fightans, and I could be considered great at rhythm games and Monster Hunter, given the amount of time I've spent with those. Besides that, I'm more of a jack of all trades. I can't make myself spend enough time on one game before I move to another unless I enjoy the hell out of it.
