Just tested our theory. That is exactly how the bug works. If done with my back to the corner and I get the crossup asap, the barrel combos for over 4k, which can be combo'd into circus teddie :D It's silly.

That would be my guess, too, but it still seems janky for the programmers to use "if (hitCounter == 8)" rather than "if (hitCounter >= 8)." Does this mean you won't be heading to Minion's dorm for some BB and P4A casuals tonight? :<

So Minion and I keep running into a bug with Teddie's oil drum. Somehow, the oil drum won't stop going after a certain number of hits blocked, keeping the opponent in blockstun until he reaches the corner. It's the best thing ever. We think it has something to do with Asterius, but we don't know exactly what causes it.

Ah, I can respect that. Options are always nice to have in bulk. More power to you. I honestly like a lot of characters in this game, as well. Tao, Rachel, Makoto, and Platinum all look really interesting and fun to play. The character loyalist in me will probably end up sticking with Plat, though, especially since there isn't a single change, from her voicing to her new move properties, that I'm not ecstatic about. I'm curious now, do you happen to know where Plat falls on the tier list?

I suppose I'm a bit biased as to who I see in videos, because most of what I watch ends up being Platinum vs. X. I really don't like the sound of near touch of death combos, either. I hope they fix some of the balance issues on the overdrives. However, if they happen to keep Plat's overdrive how it is now, I will gladly slip on my miracle jeans, pull out my cat bombs, and mash 214D until the world ends. As far as tiers go, I'd just play who you're comfortable with. High tier or not, you will likely get better results from playing a character who suits your style of play and one you enjoy playing, or at least that's how it's been in my experience. Totally unrelated: Tao was honestly the first character I picked up in BB. She still seems really fun to play. Probably going to sub her.

CP looks amazing in my opinion. I'm looking forward to nearly everything about it. The speed, new moves, new characters, overdrive, balance changes... Although, there are some things that could be changed for the better, and I see a lot more of certain characters than others (I rarely see Bang or Taokaka, but a lot of Jin, Hazama, and Hakumen seem to have shown up).
