He's always been Ragna though. I'm more worried about the ones that have had multiple different actors for the characters. -

Agreed, Laura Bailey as Rachel is either A) Bad or B) Rare in the games so far. She plays the crazy girl with a stick and multiple personality syndrome. Tony Olivier as Bang? Shaweeeeeet! My question would be is Hakumen going to sound like Jin again or are they going to majorly edit his pitch like in CSE? -

xD Sleeping chibi hakumen. Dang now I really want the arcade stick. -
If there's one thing I'm looking forward to about this game it's the songs. Especially Jago's. You can get a sample here: http://www.killerinstinctcentral.com/exclusive-killer-instinct-xbox-one-music-suite/

...That is a very closed minded way of looking at things. Please note that I am sleepy, and I don't know how much more well Arc System games play on arcade sticks, but this is all down to personal preference. Some of the best SF players (I know, it's SF, but the point is still valid!) play on controllers/gamepads. Hell, a player by the name of BrolyLegs will probably wipe the floor with a lot of people from here on SF, and not because of a difference in game taste. He is a fair tournament level player, and uses a controller... with one hand and his mouth! I don't know the name of his condition but his body is restricted to being stomach down on a ...gurney I guess, and his arms are not completely functional like a normal person's. But this guy goes to tournaments and places. Watch it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=83nSodg-HTU Then tell me no one on controllers can fight well.

I wouldn't focus on getting too many combos for a character down outside of their what I will call 'normal level' BnBs when starting out. These will be the ones that are not too crazy, easily memorable, and will do fair damage (case in point, any Dante BnB in UMvC3 thread on Shoryuken.com is not what I would call normal. Those things have more notations than some of the higher up challenges in BB). I would go to the dustloop wiki for these first. Like Tari said, you have to be able to get in and capitalize. Maybe once you get the normal combos down then you should try going to the training mode and putting the computer on random block (if that option is there, it's been a long while since I've been in BB training mode). This will help to train your reactions. What I would personally do after that is to figure out your new character's movements. How good is their backdash? Though it's hard to top Tager's godly amount of invulnerability frames. How about their forward dash, and then their aerial movement options. Also to note is what is your new character's best opener? Ragna has his 2B>5B, which will be his go to opener of choice at beginner and higher levels, and Hakumen has his 5B, j.B and j.2C. Try all their ground normals and air normals, seeing what will chain. Once you have a fair idea of what the best moves are in the air and on the ground, then start to try to implement the ground normals and air normals into those combos you will have learned earlier. Example: Tari's earlier Ragna 5A > 5B > 5C > 214A > 214D chain. 5A whiffs on crouchers. Replace 5A with 2B and you will have a chain that will make contact. If you have trained your opponent to be expecting the low as a starter, you can then try to put in a j.C as a starter. About the muscle memory thing, I'm assuming that means you're kind of playing on auto pilot at times. That's something I need to get over too. I will be at times in a match on whatever game I'm playing where I do not actually have a thought in my head about what they will do or what I will do. Just blank. I'm going to try to not listen too intently to that 'Don't think, feel' thing of Bruce Lee's (or Fei-Long or wherever it originated from). Instead I'm going to be focusing my thoughts TO the fight and not just focusing at the fight....if that makes sense. ...Rereading what I have posted I realize it's almost a jumbled mess ^^;. Sigh, I need sleep. I hope this plan will help you get an idea on how to start out when trying a new character. Big russian damage! Khorosho!

Yeah, look what happened to SFxT at launch. NO ONE wanted to watch the match end with a timeout over and over and over again. And P.S. Elizabeth does that in P4A. Curse that pale elevator stewardess! -
This is kind of scaring me away from online, I have to say. How often do you go into practice mode anymore?

I'm kinda miserly ^^;. Came from bad work experiences and a fairly dismal work year last year. Tips on getting out of the 'reaction' playstyle funk?

And if you look closely the DLC characters have pixelated lines and circles. -
It's a vice. Much like how people smoke. They know that it's bad for them, or that perhaps the long term effects are not worth it (though most people I know just outright deny them), but I just can not ever give up fighters. Probably my biggest problem is that in the past year or so I've gone into a more 'reaction' playstyle than 'anticipation'. I rarely ever think through things once I get into a match. Just zhoop, my brain goes blank.

Pretty much title says it all. I'm right now entertaining the idea of re-purchasing BB CSE in lines of getting ready for CP. However, money's tight and who knows what the future will bring (I'm half paranoid my job will either cut my hours or let me go all together). Should I still get the game again or should I make due with P4A? I don't know if CP will be majorly different compared to CSE....and come to think of it, Relius' were the bane of my existence when it came to online. Gah! The nightmares! I know they're 2 different games but right now P4A is what I have when it comes to anything close to BB.

Lies! Lies and slander! So...uh....I remember part of one of the Japanese trailers for characters that counted down to 0 when it came to the Murakumo units. Has this thought been approached anymore lately? Or was that Arc's way of trolling like Yoshinori Ono? -

Hey, I have more questions (I seem to be full of them). Kurushii mentioned that if I ordered the Asia version I might get lucky with some English text but I would have to get my DLC through the Hong Kong Store. Following that line of logic I supposed the same thing happens if I get the Japanese version. How easy/hard is it to get into those PSN stores? And once I get the DLC, can I still use it if I switch back to using the american store? Edit: And that onion thing of tari's looks so darn weird! -

Possibly. Thanks for the info, but now I have one more question. I see on play-asia it has Japan version and Asia version. So.....is there any difference? -

Okay, 2 questions: What is in the limited edition that makes it worth the extra money? Second and biggest question is that this will be my first import buy for a PS3. So I want to know what should I expect, in terms of maybe gameplay, home screens....and, well, TEXT LANGUAGE will be the biggest hurdle for me. Edit: Okay, a few more. What are the different editions and where would be the best place to buy it from? -
Lets do something about the GGXXAC Netplay!
Solless replied to ProblemSkater's topic in Guilty Gear General
Nooo. I mean a replay function. SF3S Online has it, SSFIV: AE has it, SFxT has it, don't remember if UMvC3 had it, BB games have it, P4A has it. I know people are not always having the best matches online, but for me at least that would help a lot with some things that looked like they shouldn't have hit at all. Like it took me 3 to 4 matches to figure out a charged May 6H (which can charge hella fast) has to be blocked high and sometimes seemed to need to be FDed against in the air. Would've figured it out a lot sooner if I could have watched the match over again and see what all was going on. -

I would like a netcode that yes, does have consistency. I've seen way way too many 0 bars. Most matches I get are some 1 bars, a few 2s, and I can just feel the latency. Also royally screws up my input for Overdrive moves. I've lost count how many times I put in notation for Tyrant Rave and got 6HS instead. Also something I want is a (pardon my language) mother fucking REPLAY FUNCTION! HOW THE HELL did it ship without that!?
