  1. GG's to Wild Candy and anyone else who hung out in my lobby. It was all fun and games until that Narukami came in and bodied us all with competent Okizemi and shit. Your Yukiko is pretty solid actually. I think having Yukiko in your pocket would be pretty solid, especially against characters where Naoto's zoning isn't quite as great.

  6. Generally my method for picking mains in fighting games is to jump into training or challenge mode and just messing around with everyone until I find someone who feels comfortable. The sad effect of this is usually the characters I pick end up being either middle or low tier. Otherwise if I can't find someone who fits I'll just default to the local grappler character. Never been able to resist playing grapplers

  11. It sounds like they're just tweaking a lot of Kanji's game to make him more usable while not changing him a lot. Keeping him the same while adding some much needed tools is pretty much all Kanji needs.
  12. Apparently "Climax" is the title of it in the loketests right now so we're going with that until otherwise stated.
  13. It'll probably be used more for combos than anything. I imagine 5AA>Shoulder Tackle wouldn't be hard to do.
  14. That's a bad thing? Kanji finally has an option for dealing with full screen projectiles.
  15. So we finally have new footage with Kanji, and specifically his new Shoulder Charge move. Looks like my guess was wrong, since it just shoots Take-Mikazuchi across the screen without Kanji, so it looks more like it'll be a mid- to full-screen punishing move for opponents rather than a combo starter, though I can already see it being used primarily in combos. If it can beat projectiles then we might finally have a decent option for dealing with Yukiko (and now Yukari) from full screen.   16. GG dude. You were playing the matchup pretty well, but yeah the big thing as Naoto is being careful of Kanji's j.D. Full screen away isn't that safe against Kanji.

  20. I doubt any Kanji player would, but there'll be someone who complains about it, mark my words. I've seen stuff from other places on the net complaining that Kanji is getting buffed at all.
  21. It also has a asston of recovery and any character with higher speed than him (i.e all of them) can bait it out pretty easily.
  22. Looks like they're all the same, along with the sprites. Does make me wonder how the Shadow Versions will look in-game. As they are now, visually, they don't look that much different than the normal characters.
  23. Technically ANY of them having Shadow versions at this point makes no sense. Give it some time till we actually have legit info on how the story will play out.
  24. OP updated. Nice to see the Shoulder Charge is for both Kanji's. Not sure how I feel about his super grab not being 0F anymore, but the increased range might now give us a reason to use it.
