Disappointing. Guess there's really nothing but bad news about this localization announcement. Oh well. Kagura and Terumi will probably be playable at TGS so we might get some good footage of them before the JP console release -

The 2014 NA release proved to be a really hard pill to swallow but after punching a few dolphins, I think I'm good. I'm curious about what they are showing off at the booth tomorrow and Thursday. Maybe playable Kagura and Terumi are in the build. -
Ultimate Montreal Air Dashers 2013 Results and Shoutouts
RurouniLoneWolf replied to pochp's topic in Tournament Results
Operation "Stream Monster A Tournament in Person" was a complete success! Twas a magical day/night. Spectating a tournament in person is quite interesting. I thought I died and went to heaven the moment I walked into Foonzo and saw Blazblue being played on the big screen. I was glad to match a lot of faces to a lot of names since I only actually knew like 2 or 3 people by their name. - Big thanks to Pochp, DerQ and all the other people organizing everything who spent the day running back and forth making sure the tournaments ran smoothly. - Big thanks to everyone who came from out of town to attend the tournament. Don't really know any of you personally but it's always really interesting to see people from out of town. I hope to see you all and more next year. - Congrats to LK for taking first place in BB and P4A. Loved your commentary for P4A - Congrats to Kirbster for taking second place in BB. I really need to stalk you and steal all your Rachel secrets 1 day. - Congrats to RyanKen for getting second place in P4A - Brice, you're now officially my hero. I finally have a practical use for my tablet outside of work, lol. Wish I got the name of the other guy who was there with us. Oh well. Next time. - Shoutouts to DarkWolf for bringing that FRKZ hype. - Shoutouts to Kaeru for being a very cool guy. Watching your Baiken has convinced me to play her when I finally make time to start learning GG. - Loved your shirt Heartless. Wish I took a picture. I need to get me a clever Rachel shirt like that one day. - Shoutouts to Shtkn's hat. It was a really nice hat. - Loved your commentary for GG Top 8 St1ckbug. - Shoutouts to that Akihiko and Naoto player who I spent like a good half an hour watching play Persona before the tournaments started. Wish I got names. Next time. In terms of feedback, can't really think of too much. I was pretty awestruck by everything since it was my first time at a tournament. The only thing I can think of was that it was hard to clearly hear the commentary until GG Top 8. But I don't know if it's possible to do anything about that since there was so much going on in the area until GG Top 8. Anyway, thanks again to everyone involved. I'll be looking forward to spectating again next year. -
Just finished reading the strategy guide. You did a really great job, SoWL. Thanks for writing it up. There's 1 typo though. At the end of the close range part in the neutral section, "Miquelet Capture (623C)" should be "Snaphance Fist (623C)".

Also like that it encourages players to make their own combos but you're also right that the conditions were a bit restrictive. I'm personally hoping they make the last 5 challenges with this setup with the first one being very lenient with its conditions and the last one being the most restrictive of the 5. It's true that Extend had 15 mission per character but the starter combo you see in the image (2B > 5B > 5C > Hell's Fang) isn't something you'd see as a Mission 12. To give a more direct comparison, this mission is actually Mission 3 in Extend, minus the 2B at the beginning. That's why I'm sort of suspecting they're increasing the challenges per character again. -

Hmmmm, looking closer at the Challenge Mode picture, it's a bit unusual to see the usual starter combo Ragna challenge being a Mission #12. Maybe they're switching over to the P4A 30 challenge per character layout. Would be pretty neat if they also made the final challenges be "Do any combo you want so long as you meet these conditions" too -
As far as bad mentality goes, I think the most important thing for you to do is to stop caring about winning and losing. The biggest problem with using winning and losing as a measure of your improvement is that it doesn't really properly reflect your growth as a player. Often times, people really will be improving a bit as they play but ultimately, they won't actually win more games than when they first started simply because they're still lacking in one or more areas or just because the other player was more skilled than them. In my opinion, it's much more important and rewarding to set smaller personal goals that you wish to meet in your matches. A good example of these goals would be landing a combo, block string or set up you've been practicing, successfully anti-airing a jump in, blocking a mix-up, etc. If you find you're having trouble reaching your goals, go back to training mode and reflect on what's going wrong. However based on your post, I think your problem is simple. You don't know what to do in neutral. This is fine. This is to be expected when you're still learning. Right now, you see your opponent dashing in and immediately blank out because you don't know what you should do. Your best bet right now is to head on over to the Lambda forums and ask for advice specifically about her neutral game and controlling space. But, if you haven't already, you should first check out the 3 part video tutorial for lambda in the dustloop wiki. It's very detailed and it'll give you a better idea of how to best make use of Lambda's tools. Well, I hope that helped a little.

I think there's a good chance that Zen will have the figurine based on their previous collectors/limited editions. No way to know for sure until they announce one though. Practically 0 chance of us getting it here in NA based on past experience but who knows, now that ASW US is a part of the picture, things will change.

The latest batch of Bullet footage is pretty good. I enjoyed Keita's matches, especially the Rachel ones. Thanks for posting them SoWL. It would be great if Miquelet Capture and the ground version of Snaphance turned out to be unblockable, especially the ground version of Snaphance. Keita was able to get 4.9k off Snaphance with H2 in the Rachel matches.

Unless there's a typo in the Revolver Action Table for Bullet's frame data, I don't think Bullet can dash cancel any of her normals. Could be wrong though
-
I saw 1 or 2 matches of them playing before Top 8. Don't think it was the whole match though, maybe just the very end of them. I'll try and find what time they appeared in Kurushii's archive. ASW recorded all the matches so you'll be able to see all of them sooner or later. Ah, here we are. @0:19:14 you can catch the very end of one match and @0:25:00, you can catch the very beginning of another Labrys' match and the very end at @0:28:00. Can't remember if there was more footage of Labrys players before top 8

Didn't realize 5D and jD had projectile invul until you mentioned it. That's going to be pretty useful.

Wow. That's actually pretty neat. Nice find, Zoular
-
Jennifer Hale? That's femshep's VA right? That would be an interesting choice.
-
Haven't really thought about it much really. I'm pretty much take the "Surprise me" approach for her NA voice actress and hoping I don't get a bad surprise, lol.

Go into your controller preset and change "Alternate Control" to On

Sadly, no Bullets, Izayois or Amanes have managed to qualify and I'm pretty sure qualifiers are now over ;.; You can see the full breakdown of how many characters qualified on Page 4 of the Arc Revo Cup thread in the Events forum if you're interested.

Interesting new look for the main menu. Also, like the artwork of Terumi seating backwards in the chair. -

I pretty much agree with your analysis of Bullet's situation, though I think it's a bit more of lacking experience with the character than with the game. Comparing the really good Bullets I've seen with the rest of the Bullets I've seen, the most noticeable thing I'm seeing is that quite a few Bullets don't really know the more damaging combos and their pressure is lacking. However, I do think there's also the issue that there's still room for improvement, mostly in pressure. It feels like we've got a good number of tools to open people up with but we need to find good ways to make the most of them. Overall, I think console release will fix these problems since people will be able to spend more time experimenting in training mode at their own convenience but that's just my novice opinion on the matter. -

Congrats to Kuresu for qualifying. I'm pretty happy that 3 Tsubakis managed to qualify. It'll be a good showing. -
Yup. That Rachel figurine is pretty nice. Too bad it's a Nendoroid though. I can never get them on the stand properly >,<

October 24th is much longer than I expected. Guess they really want to get the most out of the arcade revenue this time around. Playable Terumi was a surprise though. Probably won't play him but I'm looking forward to seeing screenshots or footage of his gameplay. -

Crossing my fingers for a console release date but I'm pretty hyped for anything Blazblue related.
