Not really a Potempkin/GG player, but don't you have a full screen unblockable that lets you approach if it hits? Isn't there also a move that lunges most of the screen and has 1 hit of armor , that lets you threaten command throw afterwards?

Hmmm I've been using something good lately. You guys probably already know about it, but here goes. After a midscreen Infinite Rush ender you can use Asteroid Vision to catch people's rolls as well as put them under pressure if they emergency tech. 214A~A > 5B will catch forward rolls with your best starter and frametrap those who try to emergency tech and mash. 214B > j.C will catch backwards rolls (can be followed up with 5B > 6A > 2D etc) and if they emergency tech, the j.C will hit them high, setting up for mixup later with 214A~A > 2B/Throw. I normally only use this when I get a max range 5B > 5D lvl2. The only bad thing about this setup is that you still have to guess how they are going to roll as each Asteroid Vision followup only covers two options. Also it loses to DPs. Now I haven't tested this on the entire cast, so if some people have longer rolls or smaller hitboxes while rolling, then there's a chance that these might whiff on them. -
Iron Labs's Facebook page says it's permanently closed and hasn't make a Facebook/Twitter post in 2 years. I don't know where they are now, but if you can find out I'd be willing to go. One of the CM games is next to the NorthGate Mall (252 Northgate Mall Dr Chattanooga, TN 37415) and the other is close to Gunbarrel road (7401 E Brainerd Rd #120, Chattanooga, TN 37421). The one at NorthGate is bigger and would have more room for us to potentially play. I'll go talk to them tomorrow to see if they would be open to us playing there. Any other ideas?

If I didn't like a game that all of my friends did I would: A.) Pick the cheapest EZ mode top tier character I could and spam a braindead flowchart game plan just to make people mad. Oh and try to get under their skin as much as possible if I actually win. or B.) Pick a silly character with silly moves and joke around while playing. Try to make as many people laugh as possible.

So, if Nine has no normal overheads...then shouldn't her spell circle betray her mixup? Like if you see that a Nine has ended a combo with "rock" at the ready, what's to stop you from staring down the spell circle and reacting to that. If the rock spell disappears from the spell circle, then you know the overhead is coming the instant she uses it. Until then, block low. I'm specifically talking about this Na guy who was bodying everyone with rock lol. Then all she has is God Hand for mixup, but you need meter to combo after that iirc. -
Awesome. I think I know a couple of places we might be able to meet and play in public (the 2 CM Games locations do fighting game tournaments every weekend, so they might let us setup there. And who knows...other people might see us playing and want to learn. However if you have any other places in mind I'm all ears). Unless you'd want to try coming to my apartment. I play on a 32" CRT set, so if you want a beautiful HD fighting experience that's not the place lol. (But we CAN tag team online randos there because I have pretty decent internet, but not fiber optics sadly...) And if we're going to play someplace that's not my apartment, we'd need a gaming tv/monitor that's easy to move. I also have a 32" flatscreen LCD TV, but there might be a sliiiiight delay on it (nothing major just a couple of frames I think). If you have something you feel comfortable with, we can use that instead. What do you think? Public place or my apartment?

Nice. Whereabouts do you live? I live right next to Hamilton Place Mall. I play Makoto and Elphelt (although my GG is very rusty/bad). And I plan on trying out Jam when Relevator hits.

For the element notation, we could use F (fire, obviously), W (wind), and H (water, H2O, hydro, etc.). That way, none of them would match the ABCD notation that BB uses. And I you want water to be W, then wind could be G (for gust/gale). But I agree with the other guy who said wait and see what the Japanese do.
