Thank you very much!

As I painfully found out today One more thing if you 236d in luna too soon he can hold the sledge to guard through all the hits. I guess at that point you need to be ready to punish him during sledges recovery... something I did not do today question: If 6d hits the spark bolt does it cancel it? Not sure if 5d wasnt trading because the spark bolt was too high and the 5d too low, or the spark bolt straight goes through it, or both.

Cool! I got a friend I just convinced to get into BB to watch the two episodes as well and he thought it was really funny as well. Take your time, RL first of course!

love your work, just thought Id mention it here. Any chance you are doing more BB:AM abridged?

very interesting. Too bad I didnt see this thread in time to fill the survey. good job. Some of those pairings people ship though... -
that went downhill fast...
-
you can combo into it pretty easily, so I'd say no. not really.

I keep getting this thing where I'm losing terribly and then... "your opponent has disconnected" Thanks PSN? I dont really care about my win ratio though...

Any chance one of you fine gents could make me a ramlethal avatar? I was thinking of a gif of her doing her shark smile, and then rewind back to neutral. The size of my current avatar would be perfect. Thank you in advance!

Pretty sure nu's was changed to a hit since CP 1.1

growler actually seems absolutely terrible compared to his insane teleport dash. I fought an Azrael today that was growlering too much and punished him half the time on his recovery. I was able to read phalanx cannon every time. I think he must have used it 15 times in our matches and hit me with it only once and that time was too far away to follow up with effective pressure. I think you just need to remember that he has the cannon and know that he wants to use it. Unless hes very good he will want to use it as soon as he sees an opportunity. Fake that opportunity and you can eat it up. Then your just basically getting damage on him for free half the time he growlers. Just never forget if he has a cannon. Probably good azrael players hold that cannon quite a while until you've just about forgotten about it. never forget. If you think you can keep baiting growler by feeding him a few sword its worth it. Dont be put off and change strat to more aggressive just because he ate a few swords, bait the growler and punish when you can, and then bait the cannon. Just a noob's perspective

Seem to be doing better in this match up. thanks guys. Faced a good tager today, he also didnt use sledge much at all. Keeping a constant eye on the spark bolt gauge seems to be the most important thing to do period. Still havent tried guard crushing but was able to pull off 4b overhead when he was blocking sickel when i was close to the corner. So scary! Don't think I want to be getting that close for the most part like bloodwolf said. But I hadnt really been thinking of guard crushing when he was blocking the sickle so thanks for alerting me to that option someonewhodied. I think I'll only bust it out in a pinch or if Im very confident. reading toa's last comment I think the thing I need to focus on next is using gravity to mitigate magnetism. I definetely dont use gravity enough. Still the tager I faced against today was more aggressive in our matches and I could read him easier then the one from yesterday. I really want to try and face another super-passive tager like that one and practice baiting out the spark bolt, until he gets flustered enough to try and move in. Thats when I actually feel confident, when they do what I think they should be trying to do.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'll def try and guard crush him when hes blocking luna sickle. I'll also try to be more patient against him.

In CT I was able to get into nu because I was a total noob and the easiest combo to pull off for me was anti-air 2c into jc>j2c>jc>j2c>j214d since its very forgiving on timing. I wanted to main ragna, but after I started to get better and able to get his combos down I noticed I really like zoning with nu. Of course she was extremelly powerful back then so that helped. However I stuck with lambda in CS and am back maining nu in CP because I really have come to like her style, and as shes gotten worse, ive gotten a bit better.
-
I guess that would explain why I wasnt able to poke out of it. I thought sledge was actually pretty useful if timed right and just bad if spammed. Then again, I dont play tager. Guess I just need to be exceedingly careful about spark bolt, to the point that maybe I dont poke him if hes doing literally nothing and I have a large life lead. Wait for him to do something I guess. I thought nu would be pretty solid in this matchup but its much closer then I thought. At least he can mess up all day if hes being defensive since I can't deal much damage when hes like that while I need to only mess up one time.

wow... i just got owned by a tager 4 times in a row that never used sledge. He didnt use it once. I guess i'm just terrible but he would just back up and wait for spark bolt. I'd maybe block them but I couldnt get any damaging combos since he would just back up and jump and block. Very patiently he would wait until he finally saw a chance to spark bolt even if it was a trade and then GG. Even if we traded hits I was magnetized and he would proceed to destroy me. Should I just wait out the timer and block after I've got a decent life lead? Wait until he goes aggressive? is that my best option against a passive tager like that? I didn't want to get him against the corner because I was afraid to move in. I was honestly just confused, and after the 4th match pretty much humiliated. Was doing well all night as well, beating players who knew much sweeter combos then I can pull off, and despite dropping a lot of my own combos, winning through solid fundamentals and decent reads. Then...that. Hell, i wanted him to use sledge! I could not deal with his command grabs. Maybe it was lag but it was just terrible, i couldnt get out of purple throws! I guess the one thing I wasnt trying was pure backdashing(id try to jump airdash instead). The one time I tried it he held the throw and I was pulled in anyway. I didn't have any problem blocking his normals for the most part. I was successful at doing that at least, but he would throw me to death. He didnt need anything else apparently. 5a did not seem to work at poking out genesic emerald buster. What normal should I be using? I guess this guy was levels above me and was trying to prove a point, that he could beat nu without sledge? I'll for sure analyze the replays in the morning. I've never felt so helpless
-
I'm the worst. If you saw a nu trying to use spike chaser against another nu, that was probably me might as well just ask for 5d to the face. that said I am learning. Seems to me like constantly switching modes can be a good way to throw off the opponent at least in the lower level matches I play. Make them worry about your mode change as well as theirs.
-
Interesting, I find it when that happens I generally autopilot into 2C and get an easy combo out of it. I dont think I could keep going 80 matches down, without a break in the middle. Need some time to analyze what im doing wrong, right, and what I could improve on. 20-30 losses in a row against the same player would probably be my breaking point. Go beat up on some noobs for a round or two to gain some confidence back, eat a meal and sip a beer while I consider whats what, and then come back to it fresh. well... I guess it would also depend if I won any rounds. If I can't even pull a round then definitely.

Its the same as my forum name, AvatarofWhat. I think we might have played as well but im not sure. Feel free to add me as a friend. I'm always looking for skilled players to play against and up my game. My nu vs nu matchup could def use some work.

When people ragequit right before or after I beat them in ranked mode also when i whiff j.d with because of a sudden lagspike and it ends up costing me the match...

Do you prefer the English or Japanese voices?
AvatarofWhat replied to Grimsley-San's topic in Zepp Museum
I'm the type to watch anime subbed 99% of the time. I find most dubs are just terrible. That said I absolutely love the english dub of blazblue. They did an absolutely phenomenal job, so I actually play it in english. The one thing that really upsets me is CP bang. They ruined him completely Aside from that one flaw, its the best. Absolutely amazing. I suppose new hazama isnt as good as old hazama, but I dont mind him much. Bang's new VA on the other hand... night and day man, night and day. I love being able to understand what everyone is saying to each other pre, post, and mid-fight. I have a general grasp of japanese, but its not the same. Hearing nu say "target acquired, switching to kill mode" really gets my blood pumping for the match. Still if the voices werent this superbly done I'd probably would still have it in japanese. -
Finally got the game in the mail Phase shift is awesome like I thought it would be... so sad... anyone know if nu is keeping calamity sword? I tend to lean on it a decent ammount. Either way, I'm glad I got to try this nu b4 they take her away. Just starting to get a hang of the more complex combos.
-
thx for the answer even though it wasnt what i was hoping for ...still I have the urge to play nu, so when BB:CP arrives in the mail so I guess i'll be learning her even if they make me regret spending the time when they change her a few months from now.
-
Hey guys, I'm looking to start playing BB:CP in the near future. I played both the previous titles and used nu-13/lambda-11 as my main char. Seeing the evo tournament really made me want to put other games down and get absorbed in playing nu again. Without having played her in CP I think the idea for mode change is amazing as I'm able to play both nu and lambda in one char! My only concern is that I hear they will be removing her mode change soon because of difficulty! This seems terrible to me as it seems to cater to the lowest common denominator. Does anyone know if this is a confirmed fact or just speculation since lambda-11 will be added to arcade version soon? It would suck if I put a lot of hard work into mastering her only to have them completely change the character.

I found it entertaining as well. Good job!
